FTM Check-in 6/6

Re: FTM Check-in 6/6

  • It's really interesting to hear birth stories from you STMs. Maybe we even need a whole thread on that... Prior to becoming pregnant the thing that freaked me out was giving birth and I thought a c-section sounded "easier" than pushing. Now that I've actually learned about the c-section rate in the U.S. and what motivates it I am trying to figure out how to advocate for NOT having a c-section. It's amazing what information can do to your brain :)

  • @zamora_spin it's amazing how information changes your perspective. I used to joke about wanting to be knocked out, I never thought I'd want the births that I ended up working for and having!

    Baby #4 on the way!
  • @KatieEl - I already told my husband we're getting a doula. I'm a bit of a spazz and this is already a high risk pregnancy and I would just feel so much better having one there. And it's a lot less pressure on my husband.

  • How far along are you?

    9 +1

Any appointments this week/last? How did it go?

    nope

    Cravings?
    nope

    Rants/Raves?
just the immediate males in my life. Wishing they would read a pregnancy book or two.

    Questions for FTM, STM+?
Did you have a Birth photographer? Was it worth it?

GTKY: What is your dream occupation/job? Is it your current job, or something your working towards? Working with animals which I'm doing. Would love to make more $$ but I don't think that's a possibility in my field. I'm debating going into Animal Curelty investigation.

    Nope, tomorrow we have one!

    Cravings? Nope

Rants/Raves? I'd really like to stay up past 930. So. Tired. Can't. Move.

Questions for FTM, STM+?  Can't think of any right now!

GTKY: What is your dream occupation/job? Is it your current job, or something your working towards? Dream job is my current! I work as a PA (physician assistant) in trauma, burn and emergency surgery.
