GTKY: Did you ever do summer camp as a kid? Tell me about it. I went to a day camp for a bit, but it wasn't really my thing.
R/R: I give up. It's been 17 days since I thought I ovulated, but obviously I didn't because BFN and no AF which means I have no idea what's going on with my body. I'm just going to chalk that up to learning and count today as the start of a new cycle.

GTKY: Did you ever do summer camp as a kid? Tell me about it.
I did a sleep away camp for 2 weeks every summer. But I was an introverted, nerdy, smart kid who got mocked and bullied every summer. My mom couldn't relate to me at all and thought I should still go to "improve my social skills" which meant that I was just miserable for those two weeks. It's so funny because my mom STILL doesn't get it even now that I'm an adult.
@kiwi2628 I've never been on BC pills, only had IUDs in the past. They do not sound fun to me.
@pebbledam I could totally see that about cadavers vs fluffy. When we had cadaver lab, I was surprised at how I was able to distance myself from the fact that it was an actual person I was working on. I don't think I could do that with an animal.
@mschanandlerbong1214 I was just reading your siggie, hubbie and I did the "legal" marriage before the church marriage too (for the very romantic reason of putting him on my health insurance).
@babycakesday I feel you on the humidity. I felt like I was swimming instead of walking on my way into work this morning.
@justkeepswimming8 I've heard of that adult camp! I would love to get a group of friends together to do It!

I am spotting a bit right now so I hope that stops because I have to get some BDing in soon. So the test looked good but I have a bicornuate uterus and she though there could be a possible septum so I went for a 3D US right after it. No septum from what they saw so basically everything is normal. They did tell me I'll likely ovulate on my right side because I have a nice 14mm folicle right now. I did however see a different doctor at the practice and she told me she wanted more labs. I'm getting an AMH lab and another thyroid lab.
CS/Q: Nope just really rocky this month.
GTKY: Did you ever do summer camp as a kid? Tell me about it. No. I'm a twin and we didn't have a lot of money growing up so there was no way they could send the two of us together.
@jessicarenee70 It is definitely helpful to use both since temping will only help to confirm that ovulation has occurred and when. By adding OPKs to the mix as well you are able to get a heads up as to when you may possibly ovulate. So basically the OPKs help you to predict, and temping helps to confirm.
@jessicarenee70 Welcome! I temp and use OPKs and I think that's pretty common here. Temping only confirms ovulation after the fact but OPKs help give you a "heads up" to get good timing. I have pretty reliable CM so I might not reorder OPKs but I think they've been helpful to learn my body hope that helps!

@pebbledam I'm sorry you're having to deal with a friend's baby on a rollover day. I am insanely jealous of your veterinary camp! I always wanted to be a vet and initially started college as a pre-vet student, but I couldn't handle the chemistry it required, so I wound up switching.
@justkeepswimming8 I wanted to do Girl Scout Camp soooooo baddddddd when I was younger but my mom told me I had to be a Girl Scout to do Girl Scout Camp and I had no desire to be a Girl Scout. Turns out I probably wouldn't have liked camp either...

CS/Q: I know I said my other question was answered, but also: is there a "too low" temp wise on this side of O, or nah?
GTKY: Did you ever do summer camp as a kid? Tell me about it. I did a "Girls in Action" church camp with one of my friends my 6th grade summer. It was a week long sleep away, and I hated it. I was really really really shy as a kid, and I was homeschooled so I couldn't relate to most of them even if I wasn't shy, and the friend I went with didn't want anything to do with me when she found out we were bunking with some of her friends. It was really not a good experience.
Well I certainly didn’t mean to P&G this thread lol My

@kiwi2628 I’m glad you’re off BC! Sounds like you were a

@kbamomma33 I’m glad your weekend went well, but that you

@heatherdubrow Yay yay yay! I am so excited for you! Hope
you enjoyed your bootcamp!
@fishsticks-n-custard I’m confused. How are you CD1 if AF
didn’t show up? If you’re not ovulating, it’s possible that a single cycle can
go on for months and AF will have to be induced with medicine. You shouldn’t
override to CD1 other than extreme/special circumstances. Are you just
confirming O with OPKs? It’s possible to have multiple surges/positive OPKs
even without ovulating. The only way to confirm O is through temping or blood
tests.
@purplg8r Sounds like you had a great day! Minus that stupid
OPK nonsense.
@vflux33 Hugs for CD1, lady. Let’s get this show on the

At this point, I'm just calling this CD1 to start a record, but I can switch it to ? since I don't really know when I should start from if that makes more sense. I just figured I didn't belong in TWW anymore since I doubt I've ovulated yet. Just on to the waiting game.

@fishsticks-n-custard Have you talked to your OBGYN yet? They can always give you Provera to start a definitive CD1 and you can go from there. Either way, I recommend reading TCOYF and charting your BBT so you can get a better idea of what's going on. The book has a number of sections on how to chart BBT while and post-BF. I had a number of long, anovulatory cycles, so I know how frustrating it is not knowing what's going on. Hopefully you have a fresh start and some answers soon!

CS/Q: Nope, hoping I'll turn an OPK pretty soon but also feeling anxious because it appears DH's difficulties may continue this cycle. *sigh*
GTKY: I always hated being away from home, but one summer I got brave and insisted my mother sign me up for Girl Scout Camp despite her reservations. Sure enough, I spent the entire time homesick and got myself so stressed that I actually had asthma attacks that confined me to the infirmary for most of the week. On the bright side, I do still remember all the camp songs, and I had a really awesome counselor who sat with me in the infirmary and told me stories to distract me from how sad I was. This included the entire plot of The Last Unicorn over 3-4 sessions. It was pretty great.
@pebbledam, sorry about the rough day. I get really frustrated by the issues outside my control as well.
@babycakesday, space camp! That sounds so much fun! I always wanted to do a really neat science-y camp like that but our options were somewhat limited in Central Illinois. It's currently killing me that all three of my nieces live in big cities with zoos but their parents won't sign them up for Zoo Camp.
@MrsMiller8588, yuck! Sometimes I'm really happy to have an indoor pet who only brings me stuffed toys when he goes hunting.
@heatherdubrow, that was totally me on the camp front too, except for that one instance where I suddenly decided I wanted to try it. I usually didn't even make it through one night sleepovers without getting homesick.
@purplg8r, I was a bookworm who loved books about camp too. I used to read this series called "Camp Sunnyside" over and over again and play elaborate summer camp pretend games with my stuffed animals after reading them...Honestly I probably had more fun doing both of those things than going to actual camp!

To be honest, I was not sold on it because it doesn’t tell you that you ovulated until 3 days later but I learned that it can show problems like thyroid, progesterone and anovulation. Since we are in cycle 5 with really good timing every cycle so far, I want to check to make sure nothing is wrong with any of those. We’ll see how it goes.
CS/Q: I’m sure I’ll have some later
GTKY: I loved camp! We went to Girl Scout camp for most of the summers. I’ve also been to basketball camp, church camp and swim camp. Man, I’d love to go to camp this summer. Do you think they have a TTGP camp? LOL I did hear about an adult summer camp though.
@kiwi2628 – Sorry about what BC is doing to your body. FX for you this cycle!
@pebbledam – sorry you’re having a rough day. Hugs! My sister, who just graduated from vet school, would have loved vet camp!
@mschanandlerbong1214 – ugh sorry about bad timing this cycle.
@babycakesday – I grew up in Houston and during the summers you would step outside and be instantly wet. Now, I live in Ohio and do not miss the humidity. What kind of exercise do you do outside? When I go visit my family, I try to run but I just feel like I’m running through a pool.
@hedgepig – a circus summer camp? That sounds like fun!
@mrsmiller8588 – ew that sounds so gross. I would have puked on the spot!

R/R: I had my SHG (SIS) this morning. The cramping was decent but wasn't as a bad as I thought it was going to be.

Not a regular 'summer camp'. But my mom, my sister and I lived at their summer camp on the lake pretty much the whole summer.. my dad came up on his off days. There was a lot of other kids up there with their families that I was with all day long so i pretended it was the same as 'summer camps' lol.
@pebbledam I'm sorry for the rough day
@hedgepig there's been so many mornings where I'm half asleep waiting for the beep... only to realize I never turned it on! it makes tired me so damn pissy at that time of the day lol.

DH is usually good about keeping our shared off day for us, so I must imagine that J has some kind of thing going on, but I'm still irritated about it.

Well I certainly didn’t mean to P&G this thread lol My bad guys.
@kiwi2628 I’m glad you’re off BC! Sounds like you were a camp kid like me
DH has never been to camp before and it boggled my mind lol
@pebbledam Hugs for month rollover and a rough day
@kbamomma33 I’m glad your weekend went well, but that you have your house back now
@heatherdubrow Yay yay yay! I am so excited for you! Hope you enjoyed your bootcamp!
@fishsticks-n-custard I’m confused. How are you CD1 if AF didn’t show up? If you’re not ovulating, it’s possible that a single cycle can go on for months and AF will have to be induced with medicine. You shouldn’t override to CD1 other than extreme/special circumstances. Are you just confirming O with OPKs? It’s possible to have multiple surges/positive OPKs even without ovulating. The only way to confirm O is through temping or blood tests.
@purplg8r Sounds like you had a great day! Minus that stupid OPK nonsense.
@vflux33 Hugs for CD1, lady. Let’s get this show on the road!

I did swim camps, athletic club camps, sports camps, sleep away camps, girl scouts camps, amusement park camp, service learning camps, vacation bible school camp, and probably more that I’m forgetting haha I was an outgoing kid and my mom didn’t like for me to be home during the summer, so I went to camp every week of every summer until I was 15 and spent my summers working.
