Husband's alarms. Did you really need alarms every 10-15 minutes starting at 545a to wake up at 630a? I know i didnt. I was up with the 1st one. Thanks for that.
My husband is nominated today. We got an automatic pool vacuum last night and he just needed me to try it out last night, in the dark, with the mosquitoes, without reading the instructions, while I have severe back pain(fell on tailbone) and hemorrhoids, then actually yelled at me for being a bitch. He's lucky I didn't drown him in the pool. I think he felt bad after I explained all my ailments, but when I'm saying can't we just do this tomorrow, there's a reason I wanted to do it tomorrow...
close friend of mine seriously got mad/upset with me becasue we didnt ask her to be agodparent! She wouldnt even speak to me once I told her who thegodparnets were. Mind you ive been friends with her for 3 year and the friends we chose we have known for many more years. I dont understand how someone could be so mad about this. No one said you cant be apart of the childs life and godparents are only going to "get" the child if BOTH parents die. He being so rude and upset about this makes this decision so much easier.

And not only that she went to one of our friends and told her I should have told to her first.... ummmm I didn't realize she was having this baby with me... there is always drama with this girl though. Our friend said I should apologize to her for hurting her feelings, yeah that's not happening.
This doesn't quite merit a TW nomination, but it annoyed me. DH and MIL bought my glider and ottoman for my birthday gift, which is super generous of her. So I text her a pic of it in the nursery and thank her. She responds with how she can't wait to sit in it and rock the baby. Ummm... I thought that was my job? I dunno why, but I thought it was a weird response. I'm also dealing with a lack of sleep so I'm extra bitchy/irritable.
@bnmort8 That is so weird. Is godparent even that big a deal anymore? Do you need a title to be a positive influence in someone's life? I know I have some from when I was baptized but I don't even remember who, and my brothers both have different ones.
@bridge-and-wall@labby18 Hell no! major eye roll when someone says their baby, referring to your baby. You all are making me feel much better! Just thought it was weird that she made it about her, and I just have visions of her rocking my baby in that chair and me prying my kid out of her hands.
@MyNamesTaken its really not that big of a deal at least I thought I mean my husband took it pretty serious he made a Will so he did make it legal but still no not that serious anyone can be a positive role model like you said.
@bnmort8 I didn't think people still chose godparents to raise the kid if something happened. We chose godparents with a purely ceremonial title. We also named a guardian in our wills to take him if something happened to us. Different people. That's what my parents did with us too. I think it's nice that you are naming godparents in the old traditional sense.
I'm nominating my H for TW. Probably a ridiculous thing to get so mad about, but whatever. DH said several times that he would come home for lunch yesterday since I was home sick. Instead, he went out with a coworker and didn't call to tell me to take care of my own lunch. Today, I'm supposed to meet him for lunch. He said around 11 and that he would call when he was leaving. It's 11:30. No call. I skipped my morning snack due to early lunch. I'm so hungry.
Ok I'm nominating the attorneys associated with this damn case against my husband. I have been calling and leaving messages and no one will call me back! And court is tomorrow. My husband has given them permission to tell to me so that's not the issue. He has made such great progress we just don't need this. Grrr

My mother in law still does this with my 2.5 year old. She always asks how "our baby" is doing... I don't remember her being present when DH and I made OUR baby.
@bridge-and-wall We're having purely ceremonial godparents too...like double because we're not religious so it won't be through a church even. I had the same type of godparents. My FIL was referring to them as potential guardians today and I had explain that he'll probably go to family of something happens, they're just extra support. He was actually pretty happy about that, and realistically, probably where baby would go if something did happen. I'm also very sorry about your delayed lunch!!
I was always under the impression that God parents are there to guide you through your spiritual walk and in the case of the loss of your parents, they would make sure you maintained your spiritual commitments. Not anything having to do with guardianship.
