We needed to get this started for this week

This thread is for updating everyone on the day you change to a new week. For example, If your ticker changes on Tuesday, you can answer the bold questions on Tuesday. (If you forget, just post of whatever day you remember.) Everyone, feel free to comment and make conversation with those not in your daily ticker change!
When is your ticker change day?
How far along are you?
How big is your baby (babies)?
Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)?
Any upcoming appointments this week?
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings?
Rants/Raves/Questions?
GTKY: After Dark question uh oh!!
How do you clean up after sexy time and prevent your sheets from getting messed up? Just lay a towel down and that's it? Toilet paper? Baby wipes? A really fast awkward waddle to the bathroom?

Prevent isn't really in our dictionary ( it will be after this baby ) buutttt we go through sheets quite often when we are in the same country. No shame, we keep baby wipes for quick clean ups and continue on until the very end then new sheets. I've only heard about the towel during shark week ( because I'm mature I call it that ) and I do not do shark week sex.

I've got one in about two hours and then I'm doing the 3 hour glucose test next Monday. I failed the 1 hour at my early test and had to take the 3 so my OB is just having me repeat that one.
Shortness of breath! Oh man, I can't even talk to people without getting winded. Yesterday anyhow.
My FIL is in town. We thought Monday through Friday but he's thinking of staying a bit longer to help my BIL with moving. Neither of them live here - BIL went to college here and then move back for like 3 months last year but still has stuff in storage. I'm happy to see my FIL... Not happy to see my BIL. But my actual mini rant is the timing sucks because it's my stepson's last week in town before going to visit his mom for the summer and we're going to get no time just the three of us. At least we'll have a few weeks when he gets home before LO arrived.

I really would answer this but I don't know that I have an answer... Nothing? It depends? I've never used baby wipes so I at least have a no answer...

Questions?
1. How long is your drive to the hospital/delivery space? Any plans in place to make the ride smooth and easy?
2. Anyone doing a planned delivery due to the distance of the hospital/delivery space?
3. As you have been setting up the nursery anything that you decided was a must have or that you thought was a must have and now you don't think you need. (my example is a wipe warmer...we don't have any room for one so even though I thought it was a must we likely won't have one. I also thought we would do a side car sleeper next to the bed in our bedroom but now considering just using a rock and play possibly).
4. Anyone with PCOS gotten advice about its impact on breast feeding?

1. How long is your drive to the hospital/delivery space? Any plans in place to make the ride smooth and easy?
About ten minutes. Last time I drove myself as I was in disbelief that I was actually in labor. Hopefully this time my husband will take the wheel.
2. Anyone doing a planned delivery due to the distance of the hospital/delivery space?
Not necessary
We are limiting what is going to be in baby's nursery as she will be sharing a room with first my husband and I and later her big brother. Literally all we will have in our room is a changing table w/ shelves for diapers and clothes and a small sidecar crib. In her brother's room is the larger crib that she will transition into. Items like a playmat or bouncer will be in our front room, and rather than purchasing a separate rocker or glider we are upgrading one of our arm chairs to a rocking recliner.
4. Anyone with PCOS gotten advice about its impact on breast feeding? NA

I had my endo today, and I have OB on Friday
I had heartburn really bad last night. Kept me up for quite a few hours and I was reclining myself to try to help it.
GTKY: After Dark question uh oh!!
How do you clean up after sexy time and prevent your sheets from getting messed up?
DH lovingly shoves a wad of toilet paper between my legs and then I have to waddle to the bathroom! Haha. A good friend actually uses a butt plug to 1) keep the sperm in to get KU, and 2) prevent it from leaking out and making a mess. Mostly 2, but jokingly 1! It made me laugh when she confessed that. Nobody have anything as crazy??

As you have been setting up the nursery anything that you decided was a must have or that you thought was a must have and now you don't think you need. - I have thought differently about diaper pail options, but definitely not wasting my time on a wipe warmer. That child will have cold wipes at restaurants, in the car, at grandma's..
We are planning on keeping a mini fridge either in the nursery or our bedroom for middle of the night feeds (DH's idea! Yes please!)
4. Anyone with PCOS gotten advice about its impact on breast feeding? - n/a

1. How long is your drive to the hospital/delivery space? Any plans in place to make the ride smooth and easy? Our drive is only about 10 minutes, so I'm not too worried.
2. Anyone doing a planned delivery due to the distance of the hospital/delivery space?
Nope.
We don't plan on a wipe warmer either.

Question: For those who have done them, how necessary are the hospital classes? We plan to do the hospital tour and a breastfeeding class, but our schedules are not lining up with the labor/delivery and baby care classes and it's making me anxious.

I had a non-pregnancy related appointment this week to look into managing my asthma. While listening to my heart and lungs, doctor had a slight concern, so I will be back on the 19th for cardio related testing. Fingers crossed that what he is hearing is a pregnancy related complication and nothing serious.
Nope
None this week

How do you clean up after sexy time and prevent your sheets from getting messed up?
Boxers and waddle to the bathroom
@MrsVP614, Question: For those who have done them, how necessary are the hospital classes? We plan to do the hospital tour and a breastfeeding class, but our schedules are not lining up with the labor/delivery and baby care classes and it's making me anxious.
For me, the labor and delivery classes and baby care classes were extremely helpful. My goal was to have a non-medicated labor, and I knew I would need the support and expertise of an instructor to help me accomplish that goal. I loved my instructor, and we made friends in that class with another set of parents who continue to be our close friends to this day.
Prior to my son's birth I had 0 experience with babies -- no younger siblings/cousins, babysitting, nada. My family also lives 6+ hours away, so I often felt alone and unsure of what to do with my newborn. The babycare classes which were taught by a lactation consultant through my hospital, made me feel much more confident in taking care of my son and also allowed me to create meaningful relationships with other moms. That being said, if you have a strong support group already and have prior experience with babies, perhaps it wouldn't be as necessary. And, I'm all for avoiding unnecessary anxiety if it is difficult to arrange your schedule to make a labor or babycare class.

How do you clean up after sexy time and prevent your sheets from getting messed up? Just lay a towel down and that's it? Toilet paper? Baby wipes? A really fast awkward waddle to the bathroom?
Bathroom... I try my damndest to pee for UTI prevention. We should probably protect our sheets better, we wash them a lot, lol.
I second that vote! Also I would definitely accept pictures and memes, because it was SO HARD to find a gif that somewhat depicted the glucose test.. I almost gave up and used a picture

Just had an appointment this morning - saw the OB, did my glucose test, and got my TDAP vaccine.
Not really
I'm excited that my OB said if I can stay stable without any bleeding for the next two weeks, I can try going back to working in the office a few days a week instead of having to be working from home full time.

We keep some small old hand towels in our nightstand to clean ourselves up afterwards.

Just saw OB on Wednesday. I go to the cardiologist on Thursday.
My back hurts. The acid reflux is also getting worse. All around fun stuff this week.
My parents bought a house less than a mile from mine. They close Monday and then my mom starts moving in. My dad is coming later after he retires in March. It's a little scary for me. The closest I've lived to them as an adult is 200 miles. This is going to be a big adjustment.
