This is a weekly check-in for those in their 2nd trimester: weeks 14 through the end of week 27.
Congrats to all the strong ladies who have made it this far! It's such a great feeling and we've all accomplished so much! We are now 1 week closer to the end of this especially long journey we call "infertility."
Please post below a little about yourself, how many beans you have growing inside, if you have found out the sex(es) and what your EDD is. Please also let us know how far you've made it on your journey and when your next appointment is and what for. If I'm missing anyone from this list, or you are new to the 2nd tri, please let me know and I will add you.
Please let us know when you have graduated to 3rd trimester so that I can update our list!

QOTW: I loved our family vacations at the beach. Our whole family and my Aunt/Uncle/Cousins all got together and we had a really fun week in the sun. I hope to do that with my son in the future!

Agree @latershrader that 2nd trimester has flown by... crazy.
Eric was home over the weekend and we got a million errands done around the house and now I'm completely wiped. So glad I can just be completely lazy today and recuperate because I definitely overdid it again. Not much going on this week other than hopefully organization and hanging some pictures etc. Next weekend we're having our house warming bbq so want the house to be as close to organized as possible. I find I get tired so easily these days though... definitely don't have my old stamina. Next appointment will be 28 week OB next Wednesday (so just over a week) and then Thursday we leave for Vancouver for our babymoon! Yipee.
QOTW: One of my fav memories as a kid was painting with my dad... still something we do when we get together actually, and I definitely plan to do arts and crafts with my kids. I also loved my trips to the island every summer with my mom, brother, and our family friends. There were 4 families that all coordinated the trip, we all got cabins nearby each other and we kids were all very close in age. No tvs etc, just great memories made for sure. I hope "turning off" in this techy world will still be possible.

@latershrader We also just had the baby's room painted. And I'm working on turning a dresser into a changing table. It's almost done! I'll post pics here when its completed.
@oxinfree I can't believe you're headed into the third trimester! That's amazing. : )
AFM, I fiiiinally went maternity clothes shopping and -wow- this sh*t is comfy! Like, my belly can be a belly and not the misshapen mass my regular jeans turn it into. Also have had a few interviews with doulas. I think we'll choose one soon.
QOTW: I was a really outdoorsy kid, so I hope our kid will show similar traits. Lots of great memories in the woods, beach, and mountains.

My favorite childhood memory is probably a tie between creating a science fair project with my dad and our family trip to Disney World. Both are really happy memories and I hope to share these things with my child someday.
@LeFemmeViolette I haven't had to buy any maternity clothes just yet (getting by on my loose fitting clothing) but my sister bought me a maternity dress and I cannot wait to wear it. It is so soft and cozy! Got me super excited to buy maternity clothes.
@PolythenePam I am the same way about Christmas! I get so excited to put up the decorations, but my DH hates seeing them up before Thanksgiving, so I usually start sneaking in "winter" decor in mid-November and put up the tree first thing on the day after Thanksgiving.
@LeFemmeViolette ooh share pictures! I'm doing gray walls, once I paint them I'll start collecting things to piece it together
@oxinfree I can't believe you're out of here next week. I'm so happy for you! See you soon!
@LeFemmeViolette Maternity pants are super comfy but I do find I'm pulling them up more often than not! Need more belly!
@PolythenePam YAAAAASSS! Christmas! Another few years before it really become a magical time for the newest little ones. But i'm super excited to experience it!

@sasha29-2 I'm the same way for my boobs! My band size is also small, so I have to go to a specially store. Great bras, just expensive buying them so often. They did give me a couple of small band extenders. They said to try expanding the band a bit too see if that would help before buying a larger size. They also fitted me in soft cups, so they could stretch a bit more. Not sure if you've tried all of that or not.
I'm 19+5 today with a little lady and we have our Anatomy Scan on Thursday!! So anxious to see LO and really anxious to see if everything is OK! I can't wait only 2 more sleeps haha
QOTW: We love traveling and exploring together so I hope we can keep that going once she gets here

@LeFemmeViolette you are not kidding about maternity clothes!! Bought my first maternity shorts two weeks ago and omg I love them!! I've been pretty fortunate put to this point to not need to buy much because I wear a lot of flowy dresses (I live in LLR Carly's) but the bump is getting too big to ignore!
AFM, I'll be 17 weeks with my triplets tomorrow! Can't believe I'm halfway through this pregnancy. It's put me in planning mode for sure as we have done very little thus far to prepare.
Im terms of appts and such, It's been a whirlwind around here, to say the least! Last week we had a Doppler and they discovered cord flow irregularities on baby c, which they told us is a marker for twin to twin transfusion syndrome. We had that appt directly before we left for a vacation to Disney and were grateful to have the distraction while we waited for the follow up scan yesterday. Yesterday was our follow up Doppler and there were no changes, which the MFM said is great news! She did say that we could still develop TTTS but that since there's been no progression it's a good sign. We go back on Monday for a second follow up and if things still look good then we can return to our every other week Doppler schedule. Very happy with those results!! Also got our babies' genders confirmed yesterday--we're having three BOYS!!!! DH is a bit bummed as he was hoping for at least one girl, but I don't know if it's the TTTS scare or what but I'm just not disappointed like I thought I'd be without a mix. Now I'm battling a nasty cold I got on vacation and hoping to get healthy again soon.
I also started buying a few a few things for the babies recently! We got some adorable sleepers at Disney. And I bought a onesie from zulily that says "the cat did it." It made me laugh! It's all starting to feel very real!!
QOTW: Baking with my grandma is one of the best memories I have as a child. I love to bake now, and am hoping to be as patient with my kids in the kitchen as she was with me.

AFM, had another OB appt today. They found baby's HB instantly (148bpm) and it sounded great. : ) Their BP machine scared me a bit when it read 140 first, then on the other arm it read 83. Lol. We had to take it manually, and luckilly it was a nice, regular 118.
Oh, and I am officially 17 weeks today! Wondering when I'll start to feel baby move. Hopefully soon!

@LeFemmeViolette so happy your bp was normal!! We're having a hard time with boys' names! I love Oliver, but other than that, we've got nothing. I would love any suggestions!!
@LeFemmeViolette I think I started feeling baby *Riley* around 17 weeks and it defiantly started as the whole is that her thing. I felt some punches and kicks last night but we are not feeling them outside yet. I hope you feel your LO soon, its so special!
So DH and I went to our AS yesterday and it went great! Our OB had us go to an MFM facility for the US because we did IVF and it was the only one in the area so we arrived for our 2:30 appointment at about 2:15 and got called back to get started after 4:00. The wait was brutal but we finally got to see our Little Girl (who we've already named Riley Charlize). Dr. said she weighed 12 oz and is right on track for our EDD! Sad I won't get to see baby girl until she comes unless we go for another private scan but I am so happy to hear she is healthy and right on track in there

omg looooove Oliver. I didn't use it because my name is Olivia and we thought it would be weird, but it is legit my fav little boy name. My unused list if it helps any:
Declan
Jet
Hunter
Jack
Felix
Noah
Harley
Booker
Grayson
Best of luck to you! I had a hard enough time picking out one name... 3 is a lot to come up with and love!
@Joslynj11 - okay you ladies and I are all totally on the same page name wise. LOVE the name Riley. It was (still is... shhhh) one of my top girl names if we have a girl one day. Anyways, so glad all went well with the AS. That wait sounds brutal though. Jeeze.
AFM - this week has been a bit brutal. A few weeks back I pulled/tore an ab muscle and I hoped it would get better but that doesn't seem to be happening and is likely something I'll just have to deal with throughout pregnancy. It's pretty painful, so I bought some kinesiology tape and am going to try and learn how to tape myself to better support my growing bump. Good times
Anyone got fun plans for their weekend? Happy Friday!

@Joslynj11 so happy to hear your AS went well! The wait is so brutal. They always seem to be behind at the imaging center I go to as well.
We have a busy weekend of cleaning/organizing before DH goes out of town Sunday. We are going to a BBQ tonight, and doing the baby registry tomorrow morning, which will be a lot of fun, but I kind of want a nap just thinking about how busy the weekend will be.

@Joslynj11 I love the name Riley! So sweet!!
We have one last low key weekend before chaos starts (family wedding, family reunion, etc) so hoping for down time. We saw a play this week and baby boy was bouncing like crazy, can't wait for my husband to feel it too!
@ChocolateIsLife I'm so happy to know I'm not the only one who hasn't registered yet!! The wait was terrible but I am so glad that DH was with me, I usually go to my appointments alone. My phone died a few minutes before we got there so it would have been so much worse alone haha!
Our weekend is pretty chill, just hanging out at the beach and trying to relax. Really hoping I don't get to hot because the heat really gets to me and makes me throw up if I'm not careful
