I just had a client who I see every weekend tell me he's been noticing my belly and asked if congratulations were in order for me and my husband. I'm only 8 weeks!!!! I told him not yet because we haven't announced it publicly yet. I hope he's not too embarrassed.
@caeilievalor Why can't people keep their questions to themselves?! Ugh. Your response was good.
Last night my husband and I met up with some friends for dinner, and in the middle of the meal one of the girls LOUDLY said, "So... I notice you're not having a margarita. Anything you want to tell us?" UGH. My deer in headlights face gave it away, so we had to tell those 3 friends. I think when she saw the panic on my face, she immediately regretted her question. Not classy! What the hell.
I hate when people do that! Someone steals my chance to announce every time I'm pregnant. Last weekend I was out with friends who I'm not very close with and haven't seen in quite some time. One of them goes "I just realized, with you starting a new job, what happens if you get pregnant?" I go "Our plan is to wait a year". Then she goes "I just can't stop thinking about it". I give her a courtesy chuckle and try to move on with the conversation. She refused to let it go. She then goes "it will be just your luck you will wind up pregnant". Now I'm annoyed and just tell her. I also say that it's very early and we weren't ready to tell. Would you believe she didn't even say congratulations?! After all that, all she could say was "I knew it". Some people. Ugh!
This weekend I feel like crap. It's not even fully from my first trimester symptoms. I have an awful cough and sore throat. Sucks sooooo bad.
I have been eating twizzlers for the last week, like they have been my go to when I felt nauseated. Now the smell or thought of them makes me want to gag. So sad I love twizzlers :'(
@cantw82bmom Wow, that was rude! I can't believe she wouldn't let it drop. And then she couldn't even say anything nice?! UGH.
I know everyone think it, but it's so tacky to actually ask! Especially when you're talking to someone who's gone through multiple losses (us). This particular friend of ours isn't known for being discreet, but I'm honestly shocked she asked, under the circumstances.
Any STM not fitting into their clothes anymore? I'm only 7w and the bloat is real!! Last time I didn't start shopping for maternity clothes until I was like 20w
@agalvarado I'm 8 weeks and already wearing some maternity clothes because my regular pants are getting snug and I'd rather feel comfortable. This is my second.
I actually at the hospital last Friday because unfortunately my doctors office was closed and I was having this very intense abdominal pain and it was making me sick to my stomach so the doctors did a full exam and come to find out I have a bartholins cist. I am a very clean person I have never had this before so my husband and I think it might be possibly be from the pants I was wearing because there were getting to snug and rubbing against my area. So I went and bought some skirts, I feel so much more comfortable in them. The cute and the stretch so I can use them thoughout my pregnancy which will heaven when I as big as a whale.
@KatieEl seconding Victoria and The Crown! Both great. I finished Call the Midwife recently and loved it! Sherlock isn't a period show, but it's probably my absolute favorite BBC show.
I have no idea which thread to post this in... But yesterday at 7w5d I was able to find babys heartbeat on our Sonoline doppler at home! After watching YouTube videos for what seemed like days on end, I finally found it. Luckily I recorded it because I cannot find it again!
@agalvarado I'm a STM and will be 10 weeks tomorrow. I already pulled out the maternity clothes and am wearing stretchy waisted shorts today. Even wearing my biggest clothes wasn't comfortable any more.
@agalvarado My jeans are getting tight, and I'm pretty much only wearing them to work right now. I have a large collection of skirts and dresses, and am going to try to put off buying maternity pants as long as possible.
On Friday I started bleeding 2 hours before my first ultrasound with my rainbow baby. I went to my ultrasound and I should have been 7+2 but baby measured 6 weeks and had a heartbeat of 130. I bled for 6 hours. Anyone experience this and have a healthy baby? Did your due date change? I'm just so worried about having another miscarriage.
@agalvarado this is my third pregnancy (one birth). I'm approx 6 weeks and I gave up my regular jeans at week 5. lol just couldn't handle the button digging in anymore so out came my maternity jeans (Other clothes are still good). Late this week I noticed some of my tops were showing the bloat. But I won't switch tops yet, bloat may be noticeable but maternity tops are much more noticeable (I work with all women) lol. Not willing to be forced to announce yet although I suspect some already know.
@amandaplus1onboard I know exactly what you mean, last pregnancy my female coworker straight up asked me if I was pregnant because I looked bloated, this was before I found out LOL and I was so offended!! Her comment made me go buy a pregnancy test though
@agalvarado@amandaplus1onboard im right there with y'all. Over the weekend my mom informed me she doesn't think I can't keep it a secret for 2 more weeks like we want because the bloat/bump is getting so obvious. Luckily I only need too make it through Thursday at work, then I'm on vacation until our 12 week appointment!
@Dani0329@Cricket99 the doctors at the hospital wouldn't even do anything for it. They kept asking me how long I had it. I was like "I don't even know what that is and how long it's been there." So they said just my doctor drain it. It doesn't hurt but I can feel it there. We go on Thursday so we shall see what he does.

Any TV recommendations ladies for those of us who love BBC period dramas?

Baby #4 on the way!
I also fee your pain! I have a small one right now I am trying to avoid having drained. The last one I had was 2.5 years ago after DD was born.
Before I found out I was pregnant, I was thinking about having get gland removed.
Not willing to be forced to announce yet although I suspect some already know.
