I can't remember who started this last week, but I've been impatiently waiting for this. So I'm just going to start it now because I'm an AW and excited to share
What awesomeness is going on in everyone's life this week?
A friend of mine and I have decided to go to school together and train to be lactation consultants! I have been trying to figure out a "back up plan" in the event I get burned out on my business and have gone through so many ideas, but none felt right. We were talking the other night and she said she wanted to do this and it was like something just clicked and I knew this is what I want to do.
So we're planning on starting classes online in January to do the required health sciences, if not trying to do one or two this summer. I finally feel like I have a solid, long term plan for once, whereas the future of my business has always (understandably) been a "what if" or "maybe". Plus the idea of having a more stable income is most certainly welcome and better to have with a soon-to-be family of 6. DH is completely on board and supportive, which makes this that much more exciting! I will continue my business to fund the classes and testing fees, but will be limiting my workload to make sure I can do both and not get overwhelmed.
Gah!! I'm just excited to do this and to have someone doing it all right along side me!
I have a three day workweek, and even though my Friday will be spent in CLE all day, I am looking forward to it because I get to see an old law school friend!
My THT: I was feeling kinda low this morning because DH forgot it was my birthday for the first hour or so after waking up, pretty much until I left for work. Then he was like, "Oh! Today's your birthday!"
But I just came home and there was a present waiting for me! The whole thing is not a big deal because he is always supportive, but it really turned my day around to see that small gesture.
I did nothing today. Today and tomorrow the kids are at daycare since I have to do PL (professional learning on new state standards). Which means we have to pay for the whole week of daycare. So they went today and I got to play World of Warcraft for the first time in a month. (Closet gamer)
@soprano19 yesss to school almost over! 7 more school days here! No more lunches made at 7 am !
DH actually helped do some laundry! Okay, so it was his laundry, but he helped!!
DD 1 has been helpful and made her sister breakfast this morning and even helped her pick clothes out. This can stay!
DH agreed that we can get the carpets deep cleaned before baby comes and hire a maid service to do come while we are having baby or as close to then as possible!
@jessirh I wont have any "professional" training by the time these LOs are born, but I can always give first-hand advice along side the STMs+
@bluejeanbabi05 thank you! I'm seriously so excited that I'm chomping at the bit to start getting classes done and checked off the requirements checklist!
@canonmom413 woo hoo for clean carpets and maid service! That's on my list too, hopefully we actually get it done lol
Re: Trophy High Tuesday (5/30)
That's all I've got right now.
