There's a bad storm supposed to be moving through my area this afternoon so DH has already called to tell me to come home early. Like oh ok, I'll just tell my boss that my hubs is afraid of the rain so I can't give my full 8 hours today, sorry! I'm sure it's just a matter of time before my mom texts to tell me the same thing. That and I really wanted them to be making pho in the cafeteria today but I have to console myself with chicken noodle soup, ugh why does life hate me?
Wtf to the mom at the children's museum who dragged her little girl out of the play ambulance saying "come on hazel, let's go to the kitchen, ambulances are for boys, kitchens are for girls!"

WTF to my primary care doctor? I've been waiting on a referral to my GI for WEEKS. I called yesterday to see what the status was and his medical assistant said, "oh yeah, I see the referral here, but it was never sent over. Sorry about that. I'll send it now. It shouldn't take more than a week." Grrrr. I need to start carnitine supplements NOW (I've talked about it in other threads...baby needs it since I don't produce it naturally), but since it could escalate my ulcerative colitis (a REALLY inconvenient inflammatory bowl disease), I need to get the go-ahead from my GI, who won't see me until I get a referral. Thankfully my OB came to the rescue. She called my GI personally, talked to her about it extensively, and got the green light. I start my supplements today. Cue the constant diarrhea, woo hoo! Ps...I'm going to add that to my list. WTF?? Why can't my body just function normally? Why do I have to have such obscure diseases and genetic mutations?
Wtf to my stomach. I went from mild to moderate nausea for a week to throwing up four times in four hours this morning. I can't eat or drink a single thing but I'm trying!
@makstew I am so nauseous that I keep thinking I wish I was throwing up. But then reading your post, I think I should shut my mouth and be grateful.
@cyanope that sounds miserable. I hope you find some respite with all of those treatments.
My WTF. Per our crappy neighbor from last week (with child running around at 5:30am in a Captain America costume), our landlord is finally getting insulation put in in the ceiling. Great since this has been an issue since January. Workers come today and no one told me they needed a parking spot in advance (live on a super busy street in Chicago, no spots ever open up), although they need to drape a hose from the truck into the apartment. Hilarity ensues. They pay a girl for her parking spot and need to help her re-park, but she won't let them get in the car and doesn't know how to drive in reverse. Traffic backed up all the way around two blocks and of course there is a dude in a super nice car having a temper tantrum and being a complete d-bag. Workers also didn't tell me how intensive the job is, so I essentially packed up 1/3 of our apartment in 30 minutes while I feel like I could vomit. Plus, one of them smelled very...ripe. All of this could have been avoided when I wrote, anything I can do to help prepare? Could have had a permit set up, etc. I try not to complain so much (I'm obviously grateful this is happening) but all I want to do is lay in my bed...and instead I'm kicked out of the house while these guys fly dust everywhere. All because the people upstairs have no willingness to get rugs or limit their kid's activity to the rest of the apartment. I guess the police have come by three times already because they are in front of a fire hydrant. Isn't this why the guy came out for the estimate? To check out how they'd actually DO the job?
WTF to this cold - I thought it was just a sore throat and woke up feeling much better after sleeping 12 hours yesterday.. but now I have a deep nasty cough - I'm wondering if I should see my PCP.. ugh.
@cyanope I have ulcerative colitis too and also once my OLD PCP did the same thing and TMI I was pooping blood... like no big deal, don't rush the referral or anything. This is NBD!!!!!
Ahhh, @EmilyLove25, UC unite! That has been me too! I lowered my dosage when I found out I was KU (because I'm now taking twice what I did when I was pregnant with DD), and it immediately sent me into a flare-up. I need to see her to make sure it's safe to keep taking the higher dosage. My OB got that okayed too while she was on the phone, so hopefully I'll get this under control soon.

The microwave beeped to indicate it was finished heating my lunch. A few minutes later, I opened it to get my food and THE MICROWAVE WAS STILL ON AND COOKING. It was nearly silent, and the light was off, but there was a very quiet buzzing indicating that the microwave was still running. It stopped when I opened the door. I ran to the circuit breaker and cut the power. My food was ruined, of course. My husband called an appliance repair company, and they say it's a common problem. WTF?!?! Now I'm wondering if I had a dose of radiation for lunch.
WTF... my MIL continues to wish I didn't exist. She answered a request for an RSVP for the family reunion ((which I've already RSVP'd for)) with a list of her, FIL, SIL, BIL and family. Then she says oh but my DH can't get away from work. Thanks. Glad neither I, nor my DS count but all the rest of your family does. ((Roll eyes))
Today I'm on a conference call with my boss and his boss while my male colleagues decided to throw farm animals that make so much noise at me. I wanted to beat the shit out of them. Thankfully the guys I was on the call with have an awesome sense of humor.

Here's my wtf for the week: DH needed emergency appendectomy few days ago. I think getting no sleep that night (had to wait in ER all night) really jumpstarted the whole fatigue thing for me...
WTF to the company doing DH's THIRD interview tonight and calling an hour before to reschedule? Hi, we want to know if we are going to be rich soon, or if we are continuing to live far outside of our means. Also WTF nausea. I'm sitting here wearing GD sea bands and sucking on ginger. Mine is THE WORST at night... WTF?
My wtf... I babysit a 7 year old during the week and this has been his first week of summer. I also take my DS (19 months)and watch a 4 year and 20 month old. We were all playing outback today and the 7 year old was hanging out on the swing set with his friends and they were playing truth or dare. They weren't really doing anything crazy so I went to the front of the house to let the babies use their push toys on the sidewalk. About 5 minutes later, I came around back and the 7 YOs friends were gone. I asked why they went home and he said he didn't know so we just went on playing. About 45 minutes later, one of the friends is playing in a different back yard and hollers at me. He says, "Did Mac (the boy I watch) tell you what he did?" I said, "ummm, no." He says, "He peed on me so I had to run home and take a shower."... ummmm, what?? Kids are flipping weird..
So I'm on the phone with step-mom (who has never had kids) and I'm telling her that I'm trying to lift weights and keep working out to stay ahead of the game and she goes "well yeah because it shouldn't be any different" that got me so irritated my blood pressure went up! Of course it's different I'm growing a human inside me. It's ideal to not be affected at all but the reality is I'm more tired and a little more fragile than before. Don't talk to me like I'm trying be a victim in any way. I know I'm not disabled. Arrgghh!!
WTF new neighbor. I just walked over to politely ask him to stop using A BUZZSAW in his front yard! They are gutting the entire house, I get it, but doing home renovations at 10:30 at night is not ok when you live in a townhouse. He was really nice about it and apologized, but still...
WTF dear in-laws?? I love them I really do but they've been extra needy and call DH seriously 6-10 times a day. His mom had a stroke in December that she is recovering from great. They have a nurse who comes to their house twice a day to help with things and yet they (including my adult sister in-law who lives om her own) call him every 30 minutes it seems to have him come help with something. Mind you we live 30 minutes from them! Omg the phone is ringing again... fml.
...well his dad just called again asking what time he'll be there in the morning because the nurse comes at 8. Wtf does he need to be there too then?! (39 minutes)
@libbberty I dunno. She started telling me two years into my marriage that I'm not a ((last name)) so I just don't understand and it progresses from there. She asks me to step out of pictures so she can have ones of "just her family" and other dumb crap. I'm in zero hurry to tell my ILs since the last time her response was "it's about damn time." We had been trying for 17 months. Thanks. She's also told me she wishes we had had a longer engagement so that we were really sure that marriage was right for us. That was four years and a six month old baby into my marriage. Le sigh.
@mdfarmchick Wow. I'm so sorry that is your experience. I bet that pisses your DH off, too! My DH would probably lose it on his mom if she behaved that way. You deserve to be treated like family. And her response about your last baby is just incredible. People can really be tactless, but I agree with @missblaze that she seems just mean-hearted. I know you aren't alone in this and lots of people experience it, but I'm still sorry you have to go through it. I bet she was a real treat at your wedding.
Aww thanks ladies. I mostly try to just let it roll off but sometimes she irritates the heck out of me. @libbberty the funny thing is since we knew it was going to be a whirlwind from meeting to married because of DH's job, I actually asked the ILs permission to marry him... as in, if they had reservations, we would come up with Plan B. They insisted I call them Mom and Dad... so I'm not sure what happened in our first years of marriage to change her mind. Eh. At least now that I have DS, I can just refer to them as Nana and Pop instead of having the awkward conversation about how I'd rather call them by their names or Mr. And Mrs.
