My toddler. My husband always bathes him. It's just part of their bonding time. Well DH is away on a business trip this week so I get to bathe him. No big deal except that he picks last night to begin pooping in the tub. So yeah. That was fun.
@av2323 I can't relate toddler-wise but my cat poops in the tub and it's so annoying. He knows how to go in the actual toilet and has done it multiple times, but is so stubborn.
@av2323 haha I hate litter. It was a very messy process and I almost broke down a couple times but it has been well worth it. Even with the sometimes tub poops. He always pees in the right place though so that's something.
@av2323 DD1 went through a phase where she pooped in the tub every bath. It was awful.
Today's TW is me and my horrible stomach ache. Always seems to hit when I have somewhere I have to go. We are picking up a new car 80 miles away. I also hate the car so I there is no sugar coating this trip.
TW is the 1 yr old who refuses to listen even though he knows exactly what I'm saying. Just this morning he has fallen off the chair I told him to sit down in, tried to fall down the stairs I told him to go down backwards, toppled a chair over on himself, played with the garbage can, followed the dog we are dog sitting around aggressively patting her (he loves her, she is nervous about him), and bitten 3 books. It's only 9am. I'm going to strangle this child. If he makes it to his 9:30 nap it will be a miracle.
Public Service Announcement! Always have something (plastic or disposable cup) nearby to scoop poop from the tub BEFORE you let the water out. DH would let the water out first and this makes a HUGE mess!
I have 6 closings in the next 3 days (I do mortgages) and some of my borrowers are being so needy right now when I have already given them EVERYTHING they need. Tuesday's and Friday's I send emails to every single borrower and agent with loans in process. They know this. Why call me at 915 on Tuesday for an update when you KNOW I send out updates after lunch on Tuesday? WHY? Why does everyone want to be first?!? ok, rant over!
@cottingham3 I totally did it wrong. I let the water out first and about died. Hopefully there isn't a next time but my kid thought it was hilarious so I should be prepared
My insurance company is my TW today for denying to cover cell free testing and saying another provider is out of network when they *clearly* are not and even the doctor's billing office agrees they are in network. I hate hate hate insurance companies. Everything has to be a fight for coverage - no wonder half the time people give up and just pay OOP to avoid the headache of appeals. I'd happily pay more money every month in premiums if it meant I'd never have to deal with an insurance claim or pay another dime OOP. The last thing sick people or families need is to fight with insurance on top of trying to care for loved ones or get insight into a medical condition.
@av2323 ugh!! Bath poops are awful!! @RiverSong15 I'm struggling with coverage issues for the medication I need. It absolutely stinks to have to go through this when we're only trying to do what's best for our babies!
My TW is my step-DD's dance instructor!! She scheduled a recital dress rehearsal for next Tuesday months ago and over the weekend she messaged us that it was actually supposed to be this Tuesday "whoops". So, we have to rework schedules today to get her there and DS1 to his baseball game and step-DS to batting practice. And I'm supposed to be resting! It'll be fine, but I'm going to vent about it! Lol
@2Dash I installed an ad blocker for chrome on my laptop. Saved my life. No more annoying video ads (or even those crazy popups that make you click to get out of them and make me feel like I'm infesting my computer with viruses) from TB.
@RiverSong15 If the doctors office agrees that they are in network, they should have someone in billing like a "contract specialist" or "network representive" that has an expedited way of handling these sorts of things. Might be worth asking!! Having the contracts with larger practices brings in millions for the insurance companies, so they want to keep them happy to make sure they renew.
Coworkers are insisting on keeping special education inclusion class numbers lower than others for next year. Um no, you have two teachers in a room and it isn't fair to teachers who have 30 kids to themselves. (Disclaimer: I have a masters in special ed and understand the challenges.)
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@MississippiCatfish Thanks! I did call my doctor's billing office, and they said it's a credentialling issue, where they resubmitted a lot of providers' updated credentials, but my insurance company hasn't updated their systems yet. They moved the balance of the bill back to "insurance responsibility" from "patient responsibility". So, basically every time I get an EOB from my insurance company, I have to call billing and have them flag that claim. It's annoying because this is someone I see regularly (3 visits are still waiting to go through insurance). It's definitely better than owing $250 per visit for sure, though!
@RiverSong15 Yes, annoying! But I'm glad that they're helping you! It's been years since I worked in medical billing, but I hate it now when I try to get help from the facility on a bill and they say that's my responsibility. If you have a contract with the insurance for them to pay a certain amount and that's not happening...it's everyone's responsibility BUT mine!
My MIL. I love her dearly. She raised an amazing man but she is one that pushes her way on you (most of the time without thinking she is doing anything wrong).
She sent me a text tonight with pictures of an old doll buggy and asked if I wanted it for DD (3). She tried guilty me saying it was my FIL 's mothers when she was a little girl. It is cute from afar but it is old, dingy, rusted and frankly quite fragile for a 3 year old to be playing with. Plus, DD already has a few doll strollers that she likes to play with we don't need another. So I told her in a nice way basically "it's cute thanks but no thanks" manner. Now she is texting DH to see if he wants it. Seriously?
Every person who says, "wow! You sure have your hands full!" Or "are they all yours??" Is a TW. Yes. All 3 of them are mine...is that really so unimaginable, perfect stranger? 3? I seriously don't understand! I know they don't mean anything by it, but it's so annoying and makes me self conscious and it's almost every day lately! Either walking into the gym with the stroller or all 3 on a big cart at Target. I'm dreading the next few months when I start showing more and people feel even more apt to comment because of it.
People have said wicked awful and rude shit about my now *3* boys as if it hurts them in some way. Like why do you care? Why do you feel bad for me? Do I look broken up about it? Don't be such an ass.
@MississippiCatfish I imagine you must save lots of money at Target filling your cart with your children rather than 50 things you don't need but "have to have". But for real, I don't know why people would feel the need to say anything. It's not even that many! I could understand asking the question if you have a soccer team following you....but 3!?
Ugh TWs of the day have got to be random posters in here. Read the guidelines, read the previously posted threads, or stop getting butt hurt when we respond accordingly.
@ugoglencoco You will love having three boys! Obviously, you would have loved 2 boys and a girl too, but I never understand that pity either. It's awesome! We'll be genuinely excited either way, but we'll be SO happy if we end up with another boy!
@MississippiCatfish I wouldn't think anything of it if someone had 3 kids? Maybe if you had a Duggar-sized family I'd be like alright whoa that's a lot of kids. Even 4 and 5 I think is just nice, so many friends in your family. More than that is nice too just less common. 19-20 though, that's just a lot.
@DuchessOfCambridge I know I've definitely seen 4 kids hanging off the same cart at the grocery store before and thought, "Wow! That's a lot!" But when I actually counted I thought, "Oh, I guess it's just four." and would never SAY it to them. It's so weird that it's almost always older people, too, who tend to come from bigger families themselves
Have you ever watched the episode where the Duggars go to Aldi and they have like 10 carts in a train??? One of my favorites!
@MississippiCatfish right, I would never SAY anything to a family! Even the Duggars haha. I have not seen it! I'm not much of a reality TV person but I've seen a couple episodes here and there. I'm amazed they make it all work and the kids are so well behaved.
Day late but I went to get some frozen yogurt and the woman behind the counter asked how far along I was. I tell her and she goes, "oh wow, you're really big!!" I just stare in disbelief that those words came out of her mouth and don't say anything so she follows it up with, "I mean, that's probably good, right? It's good to be big? Boy, it's going to be a long summer for you." I paid, looked right at her and said, "I greatly value your opinion. As will every other pregnant woman you meet this summer" and walked away. Dude. Seriously. STFU
@DuchessOfCambridge I think I watched one season when it was on Netflix. I loved anything having to do with mass production of food or acquiring clothes for the family!
@abs1686 ugh i know this has been mentioned many times but why do people feel it's appropriate to comment on someone else's size??? Ive had a number of people telling me this past week "youre going to be huge!" and it's so hurtful! I don't even have a bump yet, just look like I ate too much cake. I say screw those people - your response was perfect!
@safinn21 I will never understand what happens to people when they meet a pregnant woman. It's like all common sense and boundaries go flying out the window! I saw a shirt my first pregnancy that I kept threatening to buy that said, "if you didn't put it here, don't touch it." I try not to let their ignorance bother me but that's so much easier said than done.

Why did she even bother asking me?
eta last week someone asked if any of them were twins. Someone else asked if I was going to try for a girl. Both passing by strangers. Weirdos!!
