Re: Sunday Ticker Changer 5/21

  • 1. 8 weeks! Size of a raspberry!

    2. Tired! And moderate nausea every day, pretty much all day unless I have a full belly. Didn't have this with my first pregnancy so it's new for me.

    3. Nope!

    4. Cooking pretty much my least favorite thing to do at the moment. If I could just eat out all day every day right now I'd be happy.

    5. We have a home at a local lake to us but the lake is SO flooded that I doubt we will be on it this next weekend! We will still probably hang out our house up there though.

  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
11 weeks. Brussel sprout, poker chip, fig, lime (although a lime seems MUCH bigger, no?)

    2. How are you feeling?
Same.. nauseous and dry heaving but not throwing up. Tired.

    3. Any appointments this week?
no. I've been watching a lot of ultrasound videos online

    4. Rants, raves, questions?

still just VERY paranoid until my 12 week scan.

5.GTKY: do you have any long weekend plans coming up? (Memorial Day Weekend, other holidays, Fridays off from work etc)
I'm in the US so we have Memorial Day. No set plans though. We might wind up going to the beach last minute for a day trip. I'd love to go away somewhere but that's not happening.

  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 9 weeks- cherry!

    2. How are you feeling?
I felt amazing this week- hardly any nausea and much more energy. Hoping it lasts.

    3. Any appointments this week?
YES. I finally have my first appointment on Thursday. It's been torture waiting this long. I had my first BFP 6 days before my missed period.

    4. Rants, raves, questions?
Not really! This will be a new OB so I am anxious to see what the first appointment entails for her!

5.GTKY: do you have any long weekend plans coming up? (Memorial Day Weekend, other holidays, Fridays off from work etc)
I haven't thought that far ahead.

    1. 10 weeks / strawberry

    2. I'm feeling pretty good lately, less nauseous and more energy.

    3. I have a blood draw appointment for the Harmony test on Wednesday.

    4. Rants: Still haven't told anyone except husband that I'm pregnant, and sometimes I just wish I could talk about it with more people. We're planning to tell after the first trimester and after the Harmony test results are in... can't wait!

    5. I have a 3.5 day weekend and have a list of things I want to get done around the house. But the weather should also be really amazing so I'll take some time to relax and enjoy that too!
  • 1. How many weeks are you? 12 weeks!
What size is baby? Plum :)

    2. How are you feeling?
Pretty good. Nausea still hanging around but as long as I snack I'm fine. It's definitely more so at night. Tiredness from doing the simplest chores. I'm used to go go go. And I just can't right now.

    3. Any appointments this week?
Yes! NT scan and Harmony Test on Tuesday (5/23)

    4. Rants, raves, questions?
So as long as our scan goes well this week we plan on telling the rest of our families and close friends. We are SUPER stoked about this and still can't believe it's finally coming true for us, but I'm feeling "gun shy" still. It's going to be so nice to tell people without the "it's still very early, and you know our past experiences " line that always came after or the "we haven't told many people so shush shush".
I can't wait to just tell people the good news and not have the little bit of worry at the end of my sentence if that makes any sense.

5.GTKY: do you have any long weekend plans coming up? (Memorial Day Weekend, other holidays, Fridays off from work etc)
Nothing much but I feel that I have officially started nesting! Hehe getting so much things done!
  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
    10 weeks

    2. How are you feeling?
Tired, nauseated, crampy, major headaches. BUT overall better then the previous two :)

    3. Any appointments this week?
I have my first appointment on Tuesday!

    4. Rants, raves, questions?
Fixing our house to get ready to sell is a pain in the arse.

5.GTKY: do you have any long weekend plans coming up? (Memorial Day Weekend, other holidays, Fridays off from work etc)
    No plans here.
  • 1. How many weeks are you? How big is baby?
12 weeks by ultrasound. a Plum

    2. How are you feeling? My cold from hell is finally starting to disappear. Still tired and dry heaving, nauseous and vomiting a lot of the time.

    3. Any appointments this week? Wasn't supposed to be. But my lab doesn't do harmony testing on Fridays. So since it's a long weekend here labs closed on Monday too. Will be doing test Tuesday morning.

    4. Rants/Raves/Questions
    no

    5. GTKY it's Victoria Day long weekend here in Canada. Nothing to exciting though. Went to zoo yesterday. Today going swimming and I also worked. If weather is better tomorrow will see about something outside.
  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
    12 weeks, plum

    2. How are you feeling?
Very tired, congested, occasional severe headache. Days where I can't seem to get full others where I eat normally. Nausea/vomiting has pretty much gone away, knock on wood.

    3. Any appointments this week?
Yep! NT scan the 23rd, same as @ShyTonia. NIPT testing was all good, feel like if the scan Tuesday goes well I can relax and really start to enjoy this pregnancy.

    4. Rants, raves, questions?
I'm counting second tri as beginning on week 13 and I don't care if it's not correct. I need the mental rest of knowing I survived first tri.

5.GTKY: do you have any long weekend plans coming up? (Memorial Day Weekend, other holidays, Fridays off from work etc)
I have to work all Memorial Day weekend, but luckily it's day shift and it's with one of my favorite co-workers. Likely going to Philly in the next couple of weeks for a long weekend to meet our new nephew that was born the 8th. Thinking of making it a full excursion and going to NYC for a couple of days too if I'm up to it.

    1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 11 weeks - lime?  @AMCsquared I agree, that seems much bigger than the other things you listed!

    2. How are you feeling?
Normal, thank goodness! I have a couple days of extreme tiredness and some nausea a week but lately the normal energy days outnumber those.

    3. Any appointments this week?
    not until June 2

    4. Rants, raves, questions?
rant: I'm moody as hell and am irritated by the stupidest things. I didn't even realize it was happening until I started to think about all the things that were making me frustrated and it dawned on me... hormones!

5.GTKY: do you have any long weekend plans coming up? (Memorial Day Weekend, other holidays, Fridays off from work etc)
I stay at home and my husband works weird hours/days so he is working all weekend. I might see if any family wants to go to the beach for the day or something fun and outdoorsy.

@cmillar36 - I hope your nausea and vomiting ease up soon :(
@GraysonsMama - good luck with the house prepping. You can do it! I moved once last pregnancy and then again with a 1 month old but never had to sell a house in the middle of it all!

  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?  12 weeks size of a plum

    2. How are you feeling? Feeling pretty exhausted

    3. Any appointments this week? Just moved to England still getting settled

    4. Rants, raves, questions? Moving is stressful and I hate it.

5.GTKY: do you have any long weekend plans coming up? (Memorial Day Weekend, other holidays, Fridays off from work etc) my birthday is tomorrow so we might go into London for a trip.

    1. 9 weeks-size of a cherry
    2. Last week was the worst week yet. Continuous dry heaving, nausea, and exhaustion. This week has to be better. Right? :/
3.No appointments until June 7th. I'll be 11 weeks at that point. The anticipation is killing us!
4.Rants: Work is getting challenging. As a nurse I'm subjected to all types of sights and smells.

Stupid question?? Is there a character count? Im new to posting and have tried to edit multiple times with no luck?
  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
    11 weeks, lime?!?

    2. How are you feeling?
Better, at times super super starved but less nauseous. More energy, in spurts only, but I appreciate the trend.

Also, how is it fair for pregnant lovelies to suffer from insomnia?!? I'm exhausted, and bed feels so good to slip into, then halfway through the night I can't sleep anymore. Why?

    3. Any appointments this week?
Nope, NT appt is the 30th. Staying fairly distracted with a busy toddler so I'm pretty surprised at how quickly the time between appts is passing.

    4. Rants, raves, questions?
Does the moodiness improve in 2nd tri? Like even a little? I have some staff that I cringe about seeing again on workdays :( They're nice enough people they've just been under my skin essentially since I peed on a stick.

5.GTKY: do you have any long weekend plans coming up? (Memorial Day Weekend, other holidays, Fridays off from work etc)
Yes! Headed to Lake Michigan for time with my bro/SIL and my niece. Planning for travel might be a factor in time passing so quickly between appointments.

  • @hjcarp no there is no character limit.  I hope you start to get some relief! My symptoms were the worst between week 6-9 , I'm 12 weeks now and they let up after week 9 or I just got used to them lol.
  • Loving these posts!! ♡♡♡♡

I feel like everyone is getting the harmony test! My insurance says they only cover what the Dr says is needed, my Dr says have to be 35 so looks like I'm not getting it

  • @AMCsquared boooooo to your Dr. Hehe jk. It's so crazy how everyone's drs are so different. I'm not AMA either but I asked my one dr and he said sure, like it was no big deal. I will add though he asked what insurance I had first and once I said Meridian(DH works for hospital) he said oh sure right away. So he knew immediately that it would be covered. Having said that I got the impression that it would have went the other way if my insurance possibly didn't cover it. i think it really has to do with what your insurance covers and if the patient is willing to pay out of pocket.

New here as doctor changed my due date from 20th to 24th after my ultrasound.
    1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 9 weeks, cherry.

    2. How are you feeling? Anxious. I had bleeding on friday and while it has completely stopped since that night and the ER doctor said my levels were good and cervix closed and he didn't think I was miscarrying. I am stuck waiting for my ultrasound since no tech was available over the holiday weekend. Also symptoms are very come and go. Tired consistently but boobs are day to day and nausea is on and off.

    3. Any appointments this week?
Yes ultrasound likely tomorrow and initial appt for bloodwork etc. on Friday.

    4. Rants, raves, questions? When did your symptoms start to lessen if they did?

5.GTKY: do you have any long weekend plans coming up? (Memorial Day Weekend, other holidays, Fridays off from work etc)
Well posting here on Monday which is Victoria Day in Canada because I was camping all weekend.
  • Haha @ShyTonia I say boo too! Lol. I'll still ask at my next appointment

    @baevn that's awesome u went camping

  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
12 weeks, babies are the size of jelly donut holes  :D

    2. How are you feeling?
Pretty darn fantastic most of the time. My MS has vanished, and I'm getting some energy back! Trading it with headaches though

    3. Any appointments this week?

Just had my NT scan today and everything is perfect for both babies!

    4. Rants, raves, questions?
I feel like most of the scary stuff is over and I'm finally feeling more excited than worried.

5.GTKY: do you have any long weekend plans coming up? (Memorial Day Weekend, other holidays, Fridays off from work etc)
I have Monday off for memorial day, but no plans bc DH has to work. Sounds like a fantastic day to be lazy with the kids!
  • My first appointment today went really well, plus I got a surprise ultrasound (the person who scheduled me said no ultrasound until 20 weeks). Babe is measuring a couple days ahead of schedule but we're sticking with the original due date for now :)
