@schaze I love that e-card! Every time my husband says he's tired I just give him a look.
The weather here blows today. It's pouring rain and it's not supposed to stop at all today. I normally go for 2-3 15 minute walks in the parking lot but today I'm stuck inside at my desk. I was so close to taking time off today but since we get no paid leave I need to save my PTO.

@gusgus14 Right here with you. I hate this weather. I usually go outside to at least get some fresh air to help with the nausea....but I can't now. Ugh.
@gusgus14 my kids are driving me nuts with this rain. All they want is to play in the yard or go for a walk but the weather isnt cooperating. I just want to nap with all this rain and tiny human growing.
1) I am completely worthless at work with how tired I am. I cannot keep my eyes open. I'm calling this non-productivity "WWP" (Working While Pregnant) and it can't be held against me, I've decided.
2) We had the best day yesterday: in our community group, there are several married couples and they know that we've been trying because we've been open about the procedures I went through to get here, etc. We're all really close. Yesterday I got a wonderful text from one of the wives in the group letting me know that she wanted to tell me before she told everyone else so I would have time to process the news, and how much they love us and are praying for us, and that they're 10 weeks pregnant. I felt so touched by her thoughtful approach there, but LOVED that I got to respond with "OH REALLY BECAUSE I'M ACTUALLY 6 WEEKS!!!" We announced together to our group last night and there was so much cheering and hugging and celebrating. It was so perfect. Side note: we aren't keeping it a secret, but we aren't announcing to my stepson/social media/the world until 14 weeks. So it's been fun to be able to let the secret out to a few people at a time
Me: 32 | DH: 32 DSS: 5- starting kindergarten this fall! TTC since our wedding: October 22, 2016 BFP #1 5/10/2017!!! *Sadly, we lost our sweet babe on 6/19/17 at 9 weeks, 2 days. But we are made of hope, and we'll be back here soon.*
We are homeschooling. Our plan was to stsrt after labor day, but at that time I hadnt figured in our 2 week vacation in October and clearly hadnt figured in a baby. So now I need to adjust for 2 weeks off in October and 4-6 around baby time. So I just finished ordering our curriculum to start at the end of June.
@hunt_adventure_society this happened to me last time with a good friend-she knew we were trying and I'd been complaining every time I got my period, and she texted me to let me know she was pregnant soon after I found out I was as well, so it was the best to be able to text her back that we were also having a baby So sweet, I'm so glad you have some amazing people in your group!
Anyone enjoy period TV shows? I'm looking for a new one on Netflix since I finished Call the Midwife last week.. I've done Tudors and the Crown and I'm having trouble finding something that looks good!
Oh, @schaze...I'm your girl for period dramas! 1. North and South. One of my FAVORITE miniseries of all time. I've probably watched it 5 times. Kind of has a Pride and Prejudice vibe. He's working class, she's the daughter of a gentleman. 2. Downton Abbey 3. Poldark. I don't know if it's on Netflix, but if you can find it, I recommend it. I watch it on PBS. SO good. An impoverished son trying to earn back his father's fortune. 4. The Paradise. A romance between a shop girl and the owner of the store, The Paradise. 5. Velvet. Also about the relationships that form in a store, The Velvet. It's a Spanish show, so if you don't like subtitles, you may want to pass, but I love it. Cheesy. But good! 6. Reign. Follows the life of Mary, Queen of Scots and her marriage to Francis II, king of France. SUPER cheesy, SUPER historically inaccurate, and SUPER teenager-y, but a total guilty pleasure.
I could keep going. But I'll stop so people don't know how deep my obsession goes...
I'm toast today! I'm being audited by my professional organization on Thursday (not because I did anything wrong - it's a random selection) and I can't wait for it to be over so I can actually do things that I enjoy again!!!
I'm so tired! My plate is too full and I can't get rid of anything. I get up for work typically at 3am. But sometimes it's earlier like tonight I have to be up at 1am. My husband works opposite shifts so I get no help putting out two girls to bed which can sometimes take as long as 11pm. That leaves me with TWO hours of sleep before working all night. Not pregnant I was tired but hanging on, pregnant I'm barely making it. My job is physical. I help unload trucks for Target. So it's not even somewhere I sit, I am constantly lifting a ton and working very very quickly which is hard to do on no sleep. On top of this all I also watch my best friends two month old daughter during the day beside my own two kiddos.
Ladies - pregnancy should induce mandatory work nap times!!!!
On a separate note, I'm sitting for the last section of the CPA exam a week from today and all I want to do is read these boards and Google...everything! I.CANT.FOCUS!!!!
My intern started on Monday and while he's supposed to be a huge help to me basically doing whatever I ask there's also a period of time where he'll need to get up to speed and THAT is not helpful. I know it's only day 2, but I'm pregnant and tired. I have my regular dsy job to do, plus I'm basically introducing a college student to our organization. It's 9:31 PM and I want to eat a cupcake and drink wine...except wine is out cause...
cupcake it is!

@mrs_llt don't even get me started on "help" at work! This may be the hormones talking, but I was given the go ahead several months ago to hire another employee and I went with my choice based on a recommendation...hes a man. I should have known being married to one to never hire a man to be your helper, but 6 months later I am still regretting my choice and completely blaming it on his man-ness!!!
