Long rambling pity party ahead: H has been away all weekend for a bachelor party, then had to go straight from there into work today. He made sure I was 110% on board before planing things, but I want to rip his face off at this point. DD has been a disaster without him. We had an event at 10am today with Mickey and DD lost her mind because she didn't have a Mickey shirt to wear. Then we fought about having to wear shoes. Got on the highway, went maybe 5 miles, and came to a complete stop. The 20 minute drive took over an hour. The entire time, DD was screaming for Mickey. Then the event ended. Cue the largest, loudest, most violent meltdown she has ever had in public. I carried her out kicking me as hard as she could, screaming, pulling my hair, me in tears. Got on the highway, DD screeching still, and came to a complete stop. Another freaking accident. Another hour in the car being screamed at. I'm going to lock myself in the bedroom when H gets home, otherwise I will probably scream in his face when he asks how our day was.
i have been craving tuna sandwiches non stop for three weeks; worst craving ever since you're limited in how much tuna you're supposed to eat a week. sob.

@AnyMax I knew you could relate! Lol. I'm sorry DD was such a mess today. The rough days only exist to highlight how wonderful the good days are. Hugs mama!
DH told his parents/grandma/aunt and uncle this weekend that we're expecting baby #3 (with my blessing, I was fine with it). I wasn't there--thank god, I would not have been able to hold my tongue--but their reaction as relayed by him has me stewing! "I sure hope you don't expect us to babysit all three, one is enough" <-- they've never even babysat two, and they're always begging to take my oldest son (their obvious favorite) for the weekend. "You can't ask us to get excited for the third one, can you?" <--- uh, yes, I can. "Well, I guess she is making you have 6 or 8 kids or whatever." <---wtf, I'm not "making" DH do anything.
I'm so damn annoyed right now.

@KatieEl I love ballers - probably in large part because I like it when the Rock wears a suit and also stands next to people of average height. How can anyone not love that show?
@AnyMax - I'm sorry you had such a rough day and I hope you got the alone time you desperately needed @KatieEl - I'm sorry you got a shitty reaction
Sobi had lunch with my bff (she's 2 weeks ahead of me) and I told her about me being 5w. She was very excited. Our other friend joined later and she told her first, well, let's just say the reaction wasn't all that great. She was almost scolded for telling that early (she's 7w!) And wanted to tell her bffs. Well it was my turn next and I almost didn't want to say anything but we were already there and I couldn't not say since my one friend told her and that was the plan for this lunch. So yah, not an awesome reaction...Well, at least now my one bff and I can talk symptoms.
@AnyMax - that sounds like a really brutal day. I hope today is better
@KatieEl - That would have made me so mad!! What's wrong with people?! Gah!
@tryingfor1st - We had a similar reaction from some of hubby's family when we announced our pregnancy with DD. One of his aunts said "It's too early! You're not supposed to tell anyone!" without even saying congratulations. (I was 7 weeks as well) It made me so mad. I feel for you!
...my MIL may have outed us last night. The whole family was together for a belated Mother's Day dinner (except us because we live about 90 minutes away and it was too late for DD). We tried to video chat with them briefly and she said, in front of everyone "when are you going to share the good news?!" ...we told them last weekend and asked them not to pass it on yet because we weren't happy with the reaction we received last time.
@tryingfor1st - WTH in-laws. Stuff like that concretes me in my decision that I don't want to tell our parents until we're ready for the world to know - because I honestly don't trust them to keep it a secret.
