Its a Monday after a long weekend for me. I don't want to be back at work. DD woke up at 2:30 this morning and ended up in the bed with us, so I'm exhausted.
My poor 16 month old DS keeps squirming around, okay more like thrashing around, and yelling super early in the morning. I am so exhausted. The other morning it started at 4:30, this morning it was about 5. I think it may be bad dreams. Definitely not night terrors because we've been thru that before. But I am exhausted. Poor boy needs to have happy dreams.
I'm sick and I have to do laundry and pack for our flight tomorrow. I just want to lay in bed and wallow in misery. Also, the one important project I'd asked to have done when the in laws were visiting, not done.
I'm sitting here waiting for my glucose test draw. The sugary drink is giving me a headache and when im done with this I have to rush to the office for a conference call. I have a case of the Mondays
I am so over people commenting on my body. Yes, I am big. Yes, I know I still have three months left. Yes, I know it's going to be hot this summer. Yes, I am positive there is only one in there. It's the same people over and over making the same comments.
My BF is that a middle school teacher is lobbying to take one of our big 9th-grade units away and has approached administration about it. This is not the first time the topic has been broached and we have been clear every single time that we really do not want to give this unit up, nor does anyone at the high school think we should have to.
My BF is middle aged people who don't get how Facebook works and that there is a difference between writing on someone's timeline and sending a private message. Two weeks ago after a friend of my dad's had heard from him that I was having complications making me at risk for preterm labor, she wrote on my timeline saying "I heard you weren't feeling well. Thinking of you." Now the sentiment is very nice but I don't need everyone who could see that asking me what's wrong. I've been open with people about what's going on, but it's not something I'd broadcast on FB. She could send me a PM or she also has texted me before so she has my phone number. Then yesterday the same person posted on another friend's timeline saying something about how wasn't it so wonderful to see me pregnant and happy? Again, sentiment is nice but please send a PM! This woman has literally no clue other people (including me!) can see the message. Maybe I'm being overly sensitive but it's really bugging me.
Last week I spent $1,200 to get the AC in my van fixed. DH mentioned looking into getting a new car because the AC may be the beginning of the end of the van. But I decided to get it fixed and cross my fingers that this would be the only major thing for a couple years. Well, when I was out to lunch I noticed the engine light was on. I am now waiting on a "told you so" text from DH. I know if may be minor, but it may not be...
My BF is work meetings during normal lunch hours. A two hour meeting from 11-1 with no food. Who would do that? I couldn't get to my lunch fast enough today.
@cchenal07 I hate when people do that! It's one thing to schedule it from 12-1 and you can eat a little early or late, but 11-1 with no food? Not cool. Especially when you're pregnant!
@cchenal07 We have meetings over lunch time all the time. But there is an unspoken understanding that if you schedule a meeting during lunch people will bring their lunch. It doesn't matter how important the meeting or people are, if you take up my lunch time, I'm going to chomp away during your presentation. It's too bad I work in a broke non-profit, and not in some fancy shmancy tech company like DH - they intentionally schedule meetings during lunch so they can get free catering.

We have parent/teacher conferences beginning on Wednesday and a load of paperwork that is supposed to be completed by parents at conference time, but admin is giving us the run around on when the paperwork will be ready to go. As if I have nothing better to do tomorrow than ignore my students to prep paperwork that I could have done last week.
My BF is the surge of articles that have been plaguing my newsfeed about maternal deaths during or right after labor. I've read at least 3 different articles in the past week about maternal deaths. Like my anxiety wasn't already bad enough, now I get this to haunt my thoughts too.
@Rhubarb7216 I totally feel you on this!! I was just bitching about this on another thread. I had several friends find out about my pregnancy because my MIL posted it on Facebook. There really needs to be a social media ettiquette course for seniors!!
