Re: PGAL Check-in Week of 5/17
12/16, 9+4.
Based on my LMP and when we had sex (5 days before predicted ovulation & 5 days after predicted ovulation), I knew that the EDD from LMP was going to be off by a few days in one direction or another. Well, turns out that baby is measuring slightly AHEAD, which makes me happy because (1) slightly more likely the baby is a girl and (2) nausea might end sooner rather than later. I'll be happy with either gender and am happy to endure nausea for as long as it takes for a healthy pregnancy, but I'm still kind of excited about measuring ahead. Also, apologies to my PGAIF friends about this weird did-it-twice and not-well-timed info. I am one of you, which is why I was super shocked to be KU. Years of trying and previously only got pregnant on 3rd round of IUI and then this surprise!
Also, doctor didn't change my EDD because the measurements averaged to within 3 days of the LMP EDD, so their policy is to just chart from the LMP for now. 12/16 is my brother's birthday, so I'm happy.
A few years ago, DH and I spent a week in the Rhine river gorge, taking ferries and trains up and down from the little towns and even doing some day-long hikes. It was a really wonderful time.

8 March 2017: Loss at 5+4
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):
12/10, 10+2
Sometimes I wish I could keep the pregnancy a secret until the baby is healthy and safe in my arms. I waited until 15 weeks to announce last time and I ended up losing him at 18 weeks, completely unexpectedly. I've decided not to do a facebook/instagram announcement this time because having to explain what happened added to the trauma of the whole event. It just makes me kind of sad that I feel like i'm treating this pregnancy different because of my loss.
Probably a family reunion we had at Thanksgiving in North Carolina a few years ago. The beauty of that state was BREATHTAKING.

nausea isn't too bad but I've had some pretty nasty bouts of dizziness and heartburn.
12/15 based on ultrasound, so 9w5d
I haven't had much time to stress about this pregnancy because my husband is currently deployed and my 17 month old DD is keeping me quite busy. I also have to manage to finish unpacking the house alone too (since we moved 6 weeks ago), so the days have been too busy to fret.
12/1 11w5d
Pretty good actually.
Tomorrow! I'm excited to hear the heartbeat again.
Hmmm...probably Boston last year.

- not bad this week. Had some cramping/uterus expanding over the weekend as we were telling our family the news. But other than fatigue, sore boobs, yeast infection (blah), and gas I can't complain!
- Monday for NT screen
- Family vacations to OBX. But also traipsing around Germany and Austria with my DH.
Not new
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):
So tired. Sore boobs. Constipated (sorry tmi). Craving fruit and only seeming to want to eat pretty bland foods. Last night DH made spaghetti, which I love and it sounded good all day, but when it came time to eat it all I wanted was the noodles with some butter and parm.
3. EDD? How far along are you?
12/23 8+4
4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise):
Very up and down. Still 3 weeks until my loss milestone.
5. When is your next appointment?
June 6th for midwife and heartbeat check, June 14th for NT scan
6. Rants/raves/whatever:
TW I am really wishing I had some real reassurance. My next appointment and first chance to hear the heartbeat or see the baby is not until after my loss milestone, 11 weeks. I asked if they could do something early and they said no since I've only had 1 loss. It's just annoying. Since my last was a MMC (I think) I'm just worried about getting that far again and having it happen AGAIN. I'd rather know NOW if something was wrong. Ugh sorry to get negative.
7. GTKY: What's the best vacation you've ever been on?
Last August we went on a 2+ week cruise of the Mediterranean. By far the BEST vacation ever. It was a graduation gift from my mom because DH and I had both graduated last June with our BAs. It was my DH, mom, step-dad, and me. We had such a blast. I got to see many of my bucket list places (Barcelona, Athens, Mykonos, Venice, Rome, Dubrovnik, Amalfi Coast, etc) plus some other cool places that I didn't even really know much about that were also awesome (Kotor). It was perfect timing because the trip was exactly a month after my loss, so I think it really helped me with that too. I want to go again soooo bad.

7. Beat vacation? Easy our 2 week honeymoon in Jamaica.
danielle913-2 - Shortly after I got pregnant, I asked my husband how long he wanted to wait until telling people. He told me "once the baby is born and in our arms." He wasn't kidding. He honestly wanted to consider never telling anyone. #ThatsNotHowThisWorks....
@ktcakes87 - hope the appointment went well today! Also, I

Tired, sore breasts, mild nausea is getting more mild everyday. Also just got over a UTI that was symptomless- they caught it on my last urine analysis.

Pretty good, actually. I think I'm better able to be patient this time around. But I have my moments!
Edited to add my fave vacay!
We went to Vietnam and Cambodia a few years ago. Our friend was living there at the time and allowed us all around. It was amazing!
I have a six year old daughter. After that we had a long dry spell of not getting pregnant, despite trying meds and other things. We then gave up. Since then, we've had two miscarriages and this is our last go of 'just letting go and letting God'. I told my hubby that no matter what happens this time, I'm done. He seems to be at peace this time.
No complaints right now. I got to go with my kid to a fieldtrip today and even though it was insane with way too many kindergarteners, I'm still glad I could go.
We do Great Wolf Lodge every summer (this year will be our 3rd time). It's pretty magical.
