14w5d today. MS went away for a solid week which was nice but returned Mother's Day morning. I also got wayyy too much sun this weekend and got pretty burnt which is making me even more sick and miserable. I wasn't wearing sun screen or anything because I never need to. I NEVER burn, just tan. So this is new. Must be a pregnancy thing (or if you're a global warming believer, maybe the rays are getting warmer!!! ).
Still really sick at 13+3. The reglan has helped immensely, I'm keeping things down unless I smell something gross. but lots of nausea and first thing in the morning I still usually throw up. But I'm no longer losing weight, just haven't started gaining it back yet. Soon enough I'm sure

I'm 15w4d today and had been doing okay but the MS is back with a vengeance. I thought I had it beat, it went away for a few days then it was when I first woke up now it's going back and forth between only when I wake to Everytime I move. also wondering if pain in the lower stomach area (that strip of space in between belly button and hips) is normal? It sharp pains on the sides and in the middle. PS. @baby3forme I'm the same when it comes to the sun I never burn so I don't wear sunscreen but I guess cause of hormones or if global warming is what's to blame then extra hot rays in AZ make sense I've been getting burnt just walking a couple blocks to church, it sucks but I guess I'll be breaking out the sunscreen especially this weekend since I've got plans that envolve lots of time outside.
@ deemariec - the pain you describe sounds like round ligament pain (RLP) so if it's that then it is normal. It sometimes happens if you stand up to fast or move quickly or cough or sneeze.
I thought MS was fading but I had it over the weekend and it was really bad this morning (14 +1) ready for the magical feeling good of the 2nd tri!
So, the intense hunger and lightheadedness and anxiety that I've been feeling every morning since 7 weeks is related to the coffee that I've been drinking on an emptyish stomach. It's never been a problem before and I'm not drinking too much caffeine per the recommendations, but I've made decaf for a few days and voila. I feel way better and I'm honestly able to eat about 1/3 of what I was eating in the mornings to not feel like I was going to die. Wishing I'd figured it out prior to my 10 pound weight gain. Blah. Feeling like such an idiot.
I felt good for a few days, but turns out I just traded in my first tri symptoms for some nice second tri ones instead. I got to commiserate in person about hating pregnancy today with a fellow hater though, and that cheered me up a little lol
eta I'm so emotional and so grumpy I can't even handle reading everyone else's TW Tuesday. I'll be irrationally pissed off at the people I don't know be jerks to more people I don't know. Just know that I would have righteous anger on everyone's behalf.
@MississippiCatfish I am glad that is working for you!!! I am a at least a morning cup of coffee drinker regularly but try to steer clear of caffeine all together when PG due to my BP issues and such, but I have been enjoying decaf as well.
Nausea is still horrible. Worse at night but still pretty much all day. I'm 12w5 days and was hoping to start feeling better. I see that others are still struggling though so I guess that's not the case. So jealous of those that are starting to feel better.
I'm emotional for sure. I cried watching the movie Sully, I almost cried when I found out a patient I had last week was being made comfort measures only, I'm not even invested in him and think it's a long time coming for this decision.
Anyone else cramping on and off? Nothing too painful but it certainly is there. I also feel painless contractions which I am assuming are BHs. But I never had anything like this with me previous pregnancy so certainly will talk to dr next week to ensure it's normal. From what I read it seems normal?
@ShePersisted I get cramps here and there every day. There's never any blood so I actually like them, it's like reassurance things are still going on in there since my appointments are far apart and I can't feel baby yet.
@ShePersisted I cramp the whole way through, it's super normal, especially if you need to stretch things out more. Gentle prenatal yoga helps me a ton with it. I also get Braxton Hicks pretty early too.
I have had some lightheadedness when I stand too much, but I talked to my Dr and apparently my progesterone is just high and it'll get better soon. And I can't just stand around cause that's what's causing it. It kept happening when I was just chilling behind the register at work, when I am actually moving around I am fine and when I want a break I just need to sit till I am past this stage. On the bright side I cooked food yesterday and didn't get super nauseous from the smell!!! This is some major progress. It's been weeks since I could smell food cooking without feeling sick.
TMI, but I've been having more watery discharge than before... I've been really nervous about leaking amniotic fluid and I hope it's not that... my Dr is gone for the day and I was just in to see her yesterday. PGAL is killing me. back pain has been on and off bad too. This morning it was bad and yesterday morning too, maybe I need more pillows
@Furmommy if it helps I can often feel stuff leaking out of me throughout the day. I wear a super light pad (which to me is a panty liner, this level of thickness would do NOTHING for my period) every day. Gross feeling but apparently it's normal? Hope it's not amniotic fluid for you, I didn't even know that was a thing!
@Furmommy I think it is normal to have more discharge as the second try ramps up. Of course, we are sending lots of hugs and warm wishes that this is the cause of what you are feeling!!
I am at the point when I starve...but can only eat a few bites. I did not get this way until later with my other pregnancies. What is up with that. I literally eat 15 times per day! Weight is still on track, so I guess all is well.
@DuchessOfCambridge@jess0211@cottingham3 I hope it's nothing I just heard watery discharge could be amniotic fluid and that scared me a ton! Thanks for the warm wishes.. I think I'm going to call the nurses line just to make sure... it's not a lot but it's different than how it used to be and it's clear... so we'll see...
So I didn't have morning sickness the whole first trimester. Cut to this morning when I threw up my entire breakfast (just pb toast and milk). Hello week 15 I guess...
I'm not sure if this is a pregnancy symptom, but I tried to use a "natural" deodorant and now my underarms are all red and angry. Just in time for warm weather...ugh. Back to Dove I guess.
@08-16-08jms this was the primal pit paste...apparently a lot of people get a reaction to the baking soda, according to Google. Hopefully it goes away quickly. Did your sil ever find a brand that worked for her?
@liz4382 have you tried any of the crystal deodorants? I find the plain solid, rock crystal to be pretty neutral. Not nourishing, but not as harsh as some others I've tried either. Trying to find an effective (harder since getting pregnant!!) and gentle aluminum free deodorant has been a frustrating undertaking. I have a long list of what I've tried, what I still use, and when I use them. Sigh. I hope your irritation clears up quickly though
eta- what I shave with makes a difference too. I use a natural baby conditioner for shaving and it's so gentle it eliminates one source of irritation, which I think helps me be able to try more varieties of deodorants.
I don't want to jinx it. BUT. I am 15 and 4 today and I haven't thrown up all day. ALSO. I was hungry this morning. ALSO. I didn't nap when the baby napped and I completed most of my to do list (in my defence completing the entire list is unrealistic and not possible because it's extensive) . It is now 11 30 and I am exhausted and ready for bed. Oh. And I hit my step goal for the first time since being pregnant! I *think* this is what second trimester is. Can't wait for all of you to make it here with me!
@AmberG34 mine were like that about a month ago. I also had to get my nipple bar resized as they have grown and the other one was getting tight.
For the last oh two weeks maybe 3 I've been super tight in my ribs and diaphragm . Feels cramped like I've sat hunched over for too long but haven't been and no amount of stretching out helps . It gets hard to breath sometimes and sitting in general in bed or on a lounge is just uncomfortable but it doesn't seem to be symptomatic of anything I'm doing just persistent and irritating .
Edit :to add . I'm not loving the body hair either especially my stomach . Who said that could be a thing . Contemplating waxing or epilation but also have reasonably sensative skin and can't be sure it would help
Not sure if this is pregnancy related or not but yesterday I wore a dress to work and the mesh on my office chair was really bothering the back of my legs. By the time I got home they were all blotchy, itchy and red. I think my skin has become more sensitive. Also, weirdly last night DH cooked us steak for dinner and I took one look at it and wanted to vomit. I still feel "off" this morning, not hungry and nauseous. I am 15 weeks and never had any major MS in the first tri, so this seems odd to me.
My belly button has been hurting so bad. Or what's beneath my belly button? I don't know. I thought maybe I had a pimple or something on it at first because it felt like a very light pain like you get before the pimple appears. Now it's hurts every time I get up, bend over or do anything that causes it to move.
Anybody else? I'm getting worried now because it's been a week. I have my 17week appt next week so I've been waiting for that but it's getting worse. I'll be calling today!
@AmberG34 My belly button was so tender with my last pregnancy, but I felt like a weirdo because none of my other pregnant friends knew what I was talking about. Definitely ask your doctor about it, but mine wasn't concerned.

@ShePersisted I still have cramps on and off too.
So much gas the last few days and achiness in my uterus. I assume it's due to uterus stretching.
