I was lucky with DD and never got morning sickness....I was hoping to have a similar experience this time. Nope. I've felt sick all day, every day since Thursday.
@crizz13 that stinks! I can totally sympathize, I had a dream pregnancy with DS1; I was one of those annoying women: "I love being pregnant, it's the best!" And I was totally unprepared for anything but that. When I got hit with morning sickness weeks 6-18 and 28-40 with DS2 I thought I was going to die!
Not sure if this is a symptom, but I got a cold yesterday out of no where with my only real symptom being nasal congestion. Also my resting heart rate shot up 20 beats per minute yesterday all of the sudden! (I wear a fit bit). I read that increased mucous production and heart rate can be your circulatory system gearing up, but I didn't expect it to come on so hard and fast. Needless to say, I feel like crap today On the bright side, no nausea so it could be worse
Way nauseated. Not puking, but I would if I didn't feel so determined to resist. But nausea all day.
Sucking on lemon wedges helps, but I hate to think what it does to my teeth.
I was struggling to figure out food, and decided to go with comfort food-- Waffle House hashbrowns and pecan pie. It felt good to finally eat more than a couple crackers, but I hope the digestion challenge doesn't make it worse.
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science
7 IUIs, 7 BFNs. 2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs. Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire. Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus! fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP! Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)
I'm having mild nausea, it seems to be when I'm not drinking enough water and goes away about 2 min after I down some liquid so that's no biggie. My boobs are noticeable bigger and thankfully the soreness seems to have *finally* gotten better. No real specific food aversions/cravings, but food in general isn't really appealing to me, like at all. The exhaustion just will not quit. Even at the height of my adrenal fatigue 2 years ago I wasn't this tired. I know this is normal but holy crap how's a girl supposed to function when all I want to do I sleep? I'm getting around 9 hours a night and I'm still barely coherent after like 3pm!
Tired. Sore boobs. Not very hungry/can't eat a lot at once. Also my areolas are already significantly darkening, which I think is interesting so early on. Last time I remember that towards the end.
Still nauseated at the weirdest times during the day. Usually before breakfast and in the evening. Also, my boobs grew like 2 cup sizes in two days, and it hurts to nurse DD. And the bloat..so much bloat.
So incredibly nauseous 24/7. It's all I can think about. Also food is not appealing. Basically, no matter what I eat or do, it doesn't go away. I feel terrible unless I'm sleeping.
Small cramps every night, bloated as all get out, and sore nipples! So far nausea only strikes if I go too long eithout eating, and the main part of my boobs dont hurt at all. But I have been super tired and moody!
I don't know if it's pregnancy related, but my face has been so oily the past week. I've gone from having mostly clear skin and not habitually washing my face, to small breakouts and feelings like I could lubricate a car engine with the amount of oil I'm making here.
A couple small bouts of nausea, but they tend to pass easily if I sit down and either eat or drink something small. IIRC, that's how it was with my son too, but I've determined that I don't remember as much about pregnancy as I thought I did.
Anyone else freezing? I live in Maryland and its been pretty mild lately. I had the house 2 degrees warmer than usual last night and had 4 blankets on me! The past week or two I just always feel cold. Keep a space heater in my office going and wearing sweatshirts. I thought pregnant people were always hot? Snuggy me!
oh also the irritability and sleepiness. But happy no MS yet
Still just so tired. A little bit of bloat and the cramps are still hanging around but mostly just at night. I have not been sleeping through the night which isn't helping the tiredness issue. I've been waking up between 1-3am for 2-3 hours every freaking night.
@gusgus14 I have also been waking up in the night, and it sucks. Usually it's just once to pee and I'll fall back asleep within a few minutes, but the other night I was tossing and turning for an hour, and last night it was at least twice.
I would just like to add complete insanity to my list of symptoms... there are no words for the narratives going on in my head right now. This happened with DD too... and it was better once I had my first US. Thank goodness I have that this Wednesday (probably why the insanity is at an all time high).
@missblaze SAME re: food! I’m disinterested generally and
then suddenly hit with a very specific craving. Sore boobs here too! Seems
to have amped up this weekend.
@KLake42 Genius move on the Waffle House hashbrowns!
@JuliaGoolia719 9 hours a night?? So jealous! I try to
remember that the fatigue gets WAY better once the placenta takes over, which
really isn’t that far away!
Fatigue has taken the place of nausea, which I will gladly take (even though either one is never fun lol). Food aversions and sore boobs still here....oh, and the bloating....oh my the bloating...so bad!
Fleeting touches of nausea - nothing bad yet. Fatigue is starting. Twinges of boob pain like I need to pump/nurse. And Bloat!! My belly looks like I'm 3 months already. Eta: the heartburn!!

@Eags I'm also looking like I'm 3 or 4 months pregnant right now. It's crazy.
@scatteringashes I'm breaking out like crazy! I remember it being this bad with DD too, but eventually it all cleared up and my skin was the best it's ever been from like 2nd tri on.
@saraterp3 Of course you are a UMD grad! I did it in English Literature and yes at UMDCP! I taught there too as a GA and loved it! @miranda21037 Yeah, getting out of Hyattsville isn't a bad thing lol! I miss some things though
Insomnia hit last night. And the weird pregnancy dreams. They're an interesting combo. I'm also just so flippin' tired all the time. DH spoiled me all day yesterday by taking care of DD. I slept in until 8am, and then took a TWO hour nap in the middle of the day. And yet...I was still tired. There is NO tired like pregnancy tired!
Still. No. Symptoms. No nausea, no fatigue (that I notice anyway), cramping is gone, no breast tenderness... I'm 5+3 today, which is actually how far along I was with DS when I found out I was pregnant with him. So I know I at least had fatigue last time at this point. Not sure what to make of this.
@mamakassie2 Try not to worry! So many of my friends had no symptoms this early and one, with both pregnancy, more or less had none throughout her entire pregnancy. You could do the crazy line progression crap and be a POAS addict to put your mind at ease... but that's a nightmare all of its own lol (just experienced the hook effect this weekend). My symptoms are mostly VERY mild, and I'm over a week further from you. I have to grab my boobs for them to hurt, but I still count it
OH MY GOODNESS "baby brain" has returned in full force. I feel like I'm going CRAZY. I work for the government and there are numerous security measures taken to protect private information in my office. When I arrived this morning, I could not even get in because the door code (a 4-digit number) slipped my mind. This has NEVER happened. After about 10 minutes of searching through my phone, I finally found it and got in.
Then, when I went to sit down, I couldn't for the life of me remember my pin code (a 6-digit number) to sign into my workstation. Again, never happened before. After frantically searching through paperwork for 30 minutes, I had to call the government "help desk" to have them reset it.
@missblaze Well, at least you remembered to go to work. I woke up one morning and completely forgot to go to school. It was one of the last classes of the semester and I just totally forgot to go. Class starts at 9:00 and I was in the shower at about 9:30 when I remembered.
My boobs are definitely bigger and still super sensitive. Having just a tiny bit of random nausea. @miranda21037 I freeze too! - even at work and I am usually always moving! I am so exhausted by the time I get to report in the morning I feel barely coherent.
Naps all the time. My mouth feels like the Sahara and my bladder feels incredibly tiny. My nausea is only bad when I'm hungry. We went out of town for the weekend and when we got back my apartment smelled so weird! Just...stale. Kind of like old people. Anyone else smelling everything?
The Mack Truck of symptoms finally hit me, I've been pretty symptom-less this far, but all day today I have some serious fatigue and the nausea is now real. On multiple occasions today I've thought of going home for a sick day!
Re: Symptoms: Week of 5/13-5/19
I was lucky with DD and never got morning sickness....I was hoping to have a similar experience this time. Nope. I've felt sick all day, every day since Thursday.
Other than already feeling 4 months pregnant I've just been getting really annoying headaches.
@acunamatada the bloat is so real.
