We are Team Green so we need both a boy and girl option. One of my friends knows the sex of the baby and going to buy the corresponding outfit and bring it to the hospital (along with a few other personalized goodies).
@oheliza44 Clothes from different companies size nb a little different, but my son was 8lbs12oz and fit into his nb clothes, not for very long but it fit comfortably for a couple wears. As far as 10lb+ babies, I'm not to sure lol.
@oheliza44 - So cute!!! I have no good advice but I'd rather things be bigger than smaller, so I would probably go with the bigger size (unless it's an option to buy both and return one - but then you have to buy 4 outfits since you have a boy and girl option).
But I also have a ton of newborn outfits that my friend gave me. I will be bringing 2-3 of those as options and hospital newborn photos.
I've had numerous people tell me that Gerber runs really small, and when my friend gave me the newborn clothes, that proved to be true. So if you think your LO will be on the smaller side, maybe get a few Gerber NB outfits.
@oheliza44 my first was 9 lbs 11 oz and she fit in a newborn footie to come home... but it was snug lol. I think you're ok with newborn as long as you weren't planning on using it for long.
@oheliza44 both of my kids wore their nb size clothes for about 5-6 weeks. DS was 8.7 so at least around 10 by the time he switched to the 0-3 mo. I would def stick with NB bc they swim in 0-3 at first. I have found target, children's place, old navy, and gap run small in general. Carters runs pretty true overall. HTH!
oheliza44 It's not just weight you need to worry about - it's length. My friends husband had to run out to buy bigger clothes because their baby was too tall for their nb clothes! Just pack an extra outfit just in case - it's not like their clothes take up much room!
i love them all! i'm still looking for 1 for my baby boy so it's good to be able to get inspired by your choices. I will go with a footie or a comfy sleep suit though.
@Xath i'm thinking of getting a t shirt for my daughter too! love your outfits.
We're Team Green so I bought these two outfits. I love the girl one but am not over the moon on the boy one. I think that's how I am on all boy clothes though since I'm so used to making sure DD looks extra cute.

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
I rolled my eyes at this thread until I saw all the adorable outfits. So cute!!
Confession: I don't have the first clue what we brought DS home in. We walked home, and he was asleep in the Moby wrap in all the photos - oops. This time I have a special "Big Brother" shirt for DS but nothing picked out for baby yet. Need to get my act together!
@rae1-3 it's so cute. DD wore a lot of the newborn stuff that was gender neutral last go-round. That and the new Aden & Anais muslin outfits have me tempted to spend a crap ton. But alas...I will hold off. A lot of the BB stuff is now on super sale on the website!

+1 on burts bees especially if baby has sensitive skin. Not a lot of color options but soft and wears well if you like a more muted style. The fit is good for long chunky babies too. @dancegurl1118 thanks for the tip about the sale. We just had stuff delivered (grrrrr) but will definitely pick out more for a good price!
Last time I had painstakingly picked out the most adorable pink onesie for DD, but it was too small! Oh, well. This time I will bring a range of sizes- I might even treat myself to a new set of yoga pants for coming home! Why not, right?
@Xath So cute! You've inspired me to think about getting DD a new "big sister"outfit as well.
I have no outfit prepared for the LO. But I love seeing these adorable outfits!!! Also, thank you @Xath for reminding me to get something for my older kids too.
Yeah, it's really important to me to make my boys feel like this is an exciting time for all of us, and not just all about the baby. We're going to go through a bunch of massive changes this summer and so I'll probably go a bit overboard with spoiling them where I can.
I'm still undecided, but I liked this one so much that I bought it 3 times! Originally in 0-3, then accidentally twice in NB!
I also got this set, which matches the first thing we bought for the baby - a little blanket that we got in New Orleans, not realizing it was a common brand!
Highly monitored internet and no cell service in the office, so I'm postin' and ghostin' while I'm workin'

I have two of that whale outfit, but in different sizes so I'm totally keeping both (and contemplating the smaller one as a going home outfit.)
Brought my daughter home in that mushroom outfit in the middle (didn't really plan it's just what I grabbed---never got a chance to pack a bag). I'm thinking of reusing it for this baby and any more if we have any. It's kind of off the wall and pretty bright in person but feels special now that we've used it once.

This is my hospital lot for Joey - just arrived today, I probably over-packed but I am not sure how long of a stay we have ahead of us. I didn't buy any preemie outfits I figure I can send DH or family to buy some if needed. The middle outfit will be his official hospital picture/going home outfit hopefully!
I also jumped on some bottles that can attach right to my pump, I figured if he can't latch or needs a tube I can at least start pumping (even if it won't be much) and get my milk supply started.
Ohhhhh, I love all the outfits!!!! We brought son home in a Kissy Kissy 'under the sea' footie onesie....I would tag a pic but it's packed up still! Ops! It was bright white with lots of little sea animals on it. For this little girl I have so many cute outfits to pic from but most likely won't buy anything special. I have a few Kickee Pants outfits I might use, or the same Kissy Kissy 'under the sea' because it was so sweet before! I didn't do any special poses or anything but have car seat pictures and a picture of each of us holding him, non together(SO SAD)!
But after seeing this I need to get big brother an outfit. I'm not big on words on clothing, so I probably won't buy something that says 'Big Bro' directly on it. I'm undecided. It would be cute for the pics tho! LOL
Since we are team green, we are sticking to neutral everything. I will also bring a plain white onesie (in case the sleeper is too hot/poo-splosion/any other unforseen oopsies happen) and that's why the moccasins are there. And yes, this babe has already gotten the nickname of Little Fox!
Re: LO's Coming Home from the Hospital Outfit
These are my favorites so far:
For a boy (we'd do the hat option):

For a girl:

I am conflicted about size. The boy NB size goes up to 8lbs so if this baby is on the bigger side it may not fit. Any advice on NB sizing?

I also love yours @xath! I love the socks.

LO will wear DD coming home outfit that I saved
Just pack an extra outfit just in case - it's not like their clothes take up much room!

Team green. I bought this outfit (DH is a hunter) but instead of this hat, I just have a plain black one, if it is a boy.
