@icecubeinthedesert just my period for now. I have PCOS and did all the temping before. But I'm not good at checking my cervix and lost my basal thermometer. If it doesn't miraculously happen this cycle I'll get a new one.
@mispanda +1 to having no clue what I'm doing when gardening. I love the idea of being able to garden, though. I just wish I had more confidence to not kill every poor plant I get my hands on.
@beachbunnyxo123 Hey, CD buddy! I hope your Monday is going alright and isn't too Mondayish.
@Pinky917 Prior to this month I was marking my CM daily but as soon as DH and I started to HIO it was really difficult for me to tell if it was CM or sex lol! I did mark the creamy CM for yesterday after posting the chart though. If things don't happen this first try I will look to invest in some OPKs for our next cycle. So happy to hear you made the appointment!
@sunniegrly So sorry to hear you are still have problems worh
@magnolia131 I was able to get in sooner than I expected so I actually have an appointment for later this month.
@JJMNO1616 Thanks! Yep, the whole CM after sex situation can get a little tricky, but usually after a few hours you should be good to go (I usually feel comfortable after about 8-12 hours). If you google "EWCM vs seminal fluid" you can find some tips on how to differentiate between the two, and I know it has come up on this board many times so you could probably do a Bump search too.
@JJMNO1616 - sometimes my CM has a total mind of it's own. I had EW like 2 days before AF last week. Sometimes it even changes at different times of the day. I know CP is a secondary sign, but it's so much easier for me to track than CM and each cycle I've gotten better at tracking.
@Mythril - GL at the appointment and with the ultrasound
@Cricket648 - hugs for all the stress. that sounds like a terrible time of the year to have observations to occur, I hope it goes well for you
@50wife - ugh totally with you on running. supposedly there is that magical runner's high people find, but I think some of us are immune!
@sunniegrly - sorry for the foot pain, that totally sucks. I think your temps look normal so far. I'm not sure if there is any info about temps after BC or an-O, I think it's more to do with individual bodies
@Pinky917 - way to go making appointment with RE, I hope the dr. is a good fit for you!
Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD: 3
WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM, CP, PNV, ConcievePlus Lube, and waiting for AF to leave. Adding OPKs this cycle.
R/R: Had a great weekend especially going on a long hike with my sister and niece. Now facing the music of just how much work I have to do this week.
CS/Q: Anyone have a good source/link for best practices for OPKs?
GTKY: What is one skill you would like to master that you don't have?
great question! I'm a novice at sewing and I'd love to get better at that. Right now I'm great at pillow cases and curtains lol
Me: 28 | H: 29 Married: October 2014 TTC #1 March 2017 Dx: PCOS - March 2018 IUI #1: April 2018 BFN IUI #2: May 2018
Just had my ultrasound appt. No update. I'll find out the results on Thursday at my OBGYN appt.
The radiologist did confirm, though, that they (TW) would've been able to see any fibroids in Sept during all my MC ultrasounds, and there weren't any then, so if I do have anything going on, it's new.
Also, it was a super annoying process because they tell you to come with a "full bladder" beforehand, and so I'm like in the waiting room, dying to pee, and then when she's basically massaging my bladder from the outside with the wand thing, I'm like, yo, so, what's the deal with the full bladder thing? And she was like, oh, well, it helps to see everything usually, but when you're really skinny, it doesn't actually matter, so you didn't need to drink any fluid beforehand. And I'm like, now you tell me, I'm about to pee all over this bed thing here. Whatever. lol
@JJMNO1616 It'll be at least half a dozen people. They're coming to see something really specific, so I'm pretty sure they'll all be there at the same time.
@heatherdubrow Did you end up doing anything fun outside?
@magnolia131 GL at your appointment tomorrow! And stretch pants are the best, especially during AF!
@50Wife Because my FIL doesn't like it when I cook, because I don't immediately clean up the mess. Basically he would want me to wait around until every person came and ate, and then wash up everything and clean the counters. Since I didn't do that the few times I cooked when we first moved in, he doesn't want me to cook at all.
Sooooo. Ultrasound went terribly. My RE was very rough. She was kind of hurried and terse. She hurt me BAD and told me that it was going to hurt a little, but she had to. It was enough to cause me to jerk away from the table at first. Then I just tried to power through it while she tried to find my left ovary. And then she told me that my lining was thin and I had NO follicles. She wasn't being rude, I don't think. She did say not to worry because a lot of women don't respond to the first dosage.
I started a new round of femara today and I have another ultrasound next Wednesday. I am really hoping that it does not hurt as bad because it HURT.

WAYDTGKU: PNVs, BBT, CM, OPKs, Preseed, green tea, CoQ10...
R/R: Just home really quick between work and my friend's escape room birthday excursion. I'm so excited about the escape room!
CS/Q: Feeling a little less UGH about this than yesterday thanks to having successfully wheedled/cajoled DH into another HIO attempt last night that went significantly better than Saturday's, though my body is not cooperating by turning an OPK positive yet. Trying to "just relax" since we all know that's the secret, right?
GTKY: I have a mandolin and I would love to one day actually master playing it. Probably the secret would be to actually practice until I can play something other than a super mournful version of "Wildwood Flower", but I get all self-conscious playing in our apartment that our neighbors will hear and get grumpy. (Silly, I know...it's not THAT loud!)
@JJMNO1616, yay for the temp spike! I agree with others that you shouldn't worry too much about the creamy CM.
@Mythril, FX for a good appointment! I worry about the doctor harping on my weight whenever I go in for a medical appointment for anything too, so I can totally relate to your anxiety, but I hope your fears were unfounded!
@BusinessWife, sorry about Month 24. I hope getting your nails done was a good stress reliever today!
@AliW220, "hunting" was a GTKY answer that surprised me but I like your reasoning! I'm too tender-hearted for hunting, though...I get upset when I accidentally step on bugs.
@Starla, the violin is on my list of instruments I'd love to master too! I wish I'd taken it up in school instead of the flute. I have no desire to still play the flute these days. (Apologies to any more devoted fellow flute players out there.)
@Cricket648, sorry about the weepy day! Having the entire board observe you does sound pretty intense. As for your GTKY, I was really good at cartwheels as a kid but the last time I attempted one (as an adult) I sprained my wrist. Alas!
@50Wife, ooh, "running" is a good answer too. They used to make us run in high school fitness class but I've gotten out of the habit. I'd like to take it up again someday and run a 5K just for fun rather than because someone is forcing me to.
@sed8611, I play the keyboard a little bit but never got the piano lessons I begged my parents for when I was a kid. (Because they couldn't afford a piano, which totally makes sense to me now but seemed Hugely Unfair when I was younger.)
@georgiagirl3050, Spanish would be really useful for me at my workplace too. For some reason I took Russian and Italian in school, though, which don't come up nearly as often.
@heatherdubrow, I hope you got outside to enjoy the nice weather!
@supercoolstephy, my MIL bought me a really nice Kitchenaid mixer for our wedding but so far I've only used it once! I still have big dreams for it, though.
@mispanda, I'd like to know more about garderning too! All I really have to work with right now is our apartment balcony but I can't even keep the plants out there alive.
@beachbunnyxo123, sorry about AF. Not a fun way to start the week!
@Mythril. I'm sorry your u/s was so brutal... (((hugs)))

Oh, no, @Mythril, I was writing out all my replies when you posted with your update! I'm so sorry the appointment went badly, I hope the one next week goes much, much better.
@Mythril Ugh I'm so sorry. So many hugs! I hope that next month is better. Was it an internal U/S? Those suck when they're poking around in there.

@Mythril - Oh no!!!! I'm sorry your US went badly and your RE was short with you. That just sucks. They should at least learn how to deliver disappointing news compassionately!
Random: I really don't like OPKs. I just got one that was ALMOST positive....but still negative. They really like to fake you out. DH came home and saw my pee cup and was really confused as to why I'm peeing on so many things so many times a day. And then I taped the OPK to a piece of paper and labeled it and he made fun of me for "starting a pee stick scrapbook."
Aw, @Mythril, I'm so sorry that your u/s appt was painful and didn't go well. I really hope that the Wednesday one doesn't hurt as much for you. Hugs girl.
At least we're getting somewhere now but holy cow! Hopefully DH isnt too annoyed :#
@sunniegrly this is why I personally switched to the CBAdvs. Not everyone likes them, but they were always way easier for me. The only cycle they got funky on me was when I had my shg.
@BusinessWife - I'm already using the Clearblue Fertility monitor, which checks for LH. But it only tests with first morning urine, so I'm doing the regular OPKs in the evening just to be sure I catch the LH surge (if it makes an appearance this cycle). Maybe I'll switch to the digital OPKs once I finish out this box of regular ones.
