R/R: Pretty confident I got my temp spike this morning! I ended up taking my tempature about 30min early because I woke up and couldn't fall back asleep. I think I was too excited to take my temp lol. I was having what felt like O cramps last night so I was feeling pretty hopeful that's what was happening. DH also got home early enough for us to HIO once more! Oddly, I was already experiencing creamy CM yesterday though? So idk what to make of that but hopefully we got enough swimmers in to do the job.
CS/Q: Any thoughts on having creamy CM the day of O?
GTKY: What is one skill you would like to master that you do not have? I would love to be able to speak another language. I took several years of French in HS and college. I also took American Sign language but I have never retained anything. Learning another language has always been really difficult for me for some reason. I'd probably want to learn Spanish more then anything but I really did enjoy the ASL classes I took and would try that again in a heartbeat.
WAYDTGKU: Letrozole, trigger shot, temping, the usual.
R/R: I have my ultrasound today. I don't know why I have this feeling that she is going to tell me that I have no follicles at all. I'm also afraid she's going to weigh me or take one look at me and tell me that I'm not fit too be pregnant, and she won't help me. When we talked in September she brought up my weight rather abruptly and bluntly. I was the one that said I would wait until the new year and try to lose weight, and I didn't lose any. We moved in with my in-laws and we aren't allowed to use the kitchen so it's been fast food for the last 6 months.
CS/Q: My temp is climbing. It is odd.
GTKY: I wish that I could master the piano. I have always wanted to play.

@Mythril I hope the appointment goes well and not like you imagine. There is a healthy check-in thread if you need people to help motivate you! You could try picking up cut up veggies or pre-made salads from the grocery store instead of fast food.
@BusinessWife Oof the 2 year mark... you're really a trooper and I hope the Clomid and retrieval works!!
WAYDTGKU: PNVs, OPKs, temping, checking CM and CP, HIO EOD during FW

Month/Cycle: 3/1

WAYDTGKU: Waiting
R/R: Ugh, I'm weepy and emotional today. It's partly work stress and partly TTC stress. I got an email over the weekend informing me that the entire board will be observing in my room during the second to last week of school, which I am less than happy about. And today my students take their final MAP test for the year, so I'll just be glad when it's all over.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What is one skill you would like to master that you don't have? I've always wanted to be able to do a cartwheel, but never learned how.
@JJMNO1616 yay for temp increase! I would love to learn ASL!
@Mythril good luck at your appt, hoping it goes better than expected. Why the ban on their kitchen??
@BusinessWife enjoy getting your nails did! That's on my list of things I've wanted to do for the longest time but haven't. Do they do payment plans for IVF? Or are you expected to just pay a lump sum?
WAYDTGKU: temping, pnv, OPKs, green tea and throwing pineapple into the mix after O
R/R: Its Monday. Monday's suck.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What is one skill you would like to master that you don't have? I really want to be able to run. I'm not a runner. I've tried time and time again but I could never stick with it enough to really get into a rhythm and run X times per week which is what I would need. The Broad Street Run is on my bucket list. Seeing all of the pictures on social media this weekend just solidified my decision that I will do it one day. One day...
@starla I'd love to play any instrument better, but I'm always impressed with people that play stringed instruments. I briefly tried, and it made no sense to me, so I was right back to the drums.
@50Wife Totally agree that Mondays suck! Hopefully this one goes by quickly!
@Cricket648. Do eet!!!! ❤ You won't regret it. CD78=nails did. New rule. ;)
@50Wife Ah so... currently we are 100% OOP.

Which means everything has to be paid up front ahead of time. Some aspects can be covered through an ivf loan like CareShare, (with a payment plan), with others paid in cash or put on a CC, like say meds or PGS. Personally, we have already invested all our savings into starting the business, and it's not as if weve seen a huge ROI yet... :/
Definitely not something we were counting on, IF, but we'd still rather not have to take out a big loan if we can help it. I can't even think about the whole breakdown right now but, (not counting all the testing we've done OOP so far), we are figuring $35-40k+. His procedure alone is almost $7,500, then round numbers maybe $22,500 for ER with meds, PGS, anesthesia, cryo etc etc, (meds could be more tho), and then approx $5k per FET. Plus $1,200/year for each of sperm/embryo storage after the year mark... and again, hopefully all the future LOs...!!!! ...Transferred at $5k+ a pop. :/ Adds up quick!
So TBT, I've got my hopes set entirely too high on a possible side-job opportunity that may help in terms of insurance coverage. Cos then THAT would make it an entirely different ballgame... fx
I feel like in general, people hesitate to talk about money, but we really shouldn't. I mean, it's really helpful I think for any of us to understand the costs of ivf, whether or not we're personally going through it, or may have to face it on the horizon, who knows.
There has been some good talk about this subject in a couple fairly recent threads on the IF board, too. ;) If you're interested...
CS/Q: According to my chart, today is O day. I have no clue if it really is, but I'll move to TWW tomorrow.

R/R: Cautiously optimistic about a temp spike this morning. Been in a weird headspace lately though so it's very cautious.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What is one skill you would like to master that you don't have? I should say fluency in Spanish since DH is Hispanic and it's his first language but I REALLY want to become fluent in sign language.
@mschanandlerbong1214 will he teach your kids Spanish? My dad started to teach me Italian when I was young and I'm pissed he didn't stick with it! Granted it's dialect and I would never get by in a big city with the Italian he knows, but it would have been something!
CS/Q: should get crosshairs with one more high temp, so I will hopefully be moving to TWW tomorrow!
GTKY: What is one skill you would like to master that you don't have? definitely speaking Spanish. I live in an area with a very large Hispanic population and I have to use translators daily (work in healthcare). Would LOVE to just speak it myself.

@Mythril I hope your appointment goes well today. I also hope you are able to move out of your inlaws house soon... not aloud to use the kitchen? That's really bizarre and seems like an awkward situation. Thinking of you today and sending positive vives.
@BusinessWife I'm so happy to see you posting here! When is your husband's retrieval?
@starla Shouldn't your temps be kind of low at CD7?
@Cricket648 Wow, how many people make up the entire board? They aren't all going to come at the same time are they? That seems like a lot of pressure but I'm sure you will do great.
@mschanandlerbong1214 FX this is it! I really love ASL and fully intend to do baby sign language with my LOs.
@georgiagirl3050 Yay for high temps! I'll probably move over to TWW tomorrow too if I get another high temp.
@50Wife I've always wished I could be a runner but my severe asthma has kept me from ever wanting to pursue it lol as for DH he hasn't taught our kids yet which means it's probably a no go. DS1 was severely speech delayed though so we didn't want to through too much at him.
@JJMNO1616. Ah!!!! As of now it's set for June 23rd. But that means we have just till June 2nd to line up payment. So if I can actually arrange coverage in the mean time, which required us to push it back a lil bit, I won't be mad at it ;)
R/R: this is my first real cycle since having Mirena removed and let me just say that I didnt miss it not one bit!! Goodness, AF opened the floodgates!

@Mythril I hope your appt is better than you expect.
@cricket648 Good luck with the observation! We have 18 days left and admin is still doing observations. My kids are so ready for end of the year that I feel like the observations are worse than they are.
WAYDTGKU: All the things. HIO, Essential Oils,
PNV, OPKs, Temping, CP/CM monitoring, Pineapple after O
R/R: **TW Children and Exs Rave: Spent time at the ballpark yesterday, first
time with DS and first time for the season for the fambam. Met the FI ex-wife
at drop off, which wasn’t totally awkward, at least not for me. Only took
almost 3 years for us to meet. Whoops. **TW
**TW. Unplanned pregnancies… RANT
MY DS was a super whoopsie baby, we’d only been dating for 4 months, FI
was still in the middle of his divorce and I was (probably poorly/probably
taking antibiotics) on BC so he was 100% not planned. Now that we’re planning
on a second my FI thinks I’m overthinking things by temping, using OPKs, and monitoring
CM/CP. I’m a planner so I like to plan for things, when I can. So I’m super
over hearing how I’m overthinking things and that he doesn’t believe me that
there was only a short window where our first could have been conceived and it
just happened so this next one will be no big deal. Sorry. Needed to just get
that out
**TW
CS/Q: 2 high days on my CB Digitals but all Negs on my Wondfos.
GTKY: Baking. I’m not very good at it. I owned a fancy Kitchenaid mixer and
finally sold it because I just never used it. It was basically used for boxed
cake mixes. Haha.
@JJMNO1616 YES!! A foreign language. I took 2 years of French
in HS and have not retained any of it.
@Mythril Oh man!!! You can’t use the kitchen. I
would be so over eating out. Not that I eat at home a whole bunch but after 2
weeks of mostly eating out, I’m like ok I guess I
should cook. And I’m hoping your appointment goes
well.
@BusinessWife That GIF is my favorite. Haha. Also, I agree,
money is difficult to talk about. I listen to an IVF podcast and had NO CLUE
how much IVF cost and how much is not covered under insurance.
@Starla My temps keep going down too. But I’m
still new to temping so I don’t know whats good or bad.
Haha I just keep tracking it.
@cricket648 bummer about the observing. That’s
such a crummy time of the year to do it too.
@50Wife Mondays really do blow. And I hate running. I tried
running. I did 2 halfs and hated it and during the second one I swore to myself
that if I finished it that I would never have to do one again…
and I haven’t. haha More power to those who can and do. I will not
again.
WAYDTGKU: Right now just waiting for RE appt tomorrow and waiting for AF to hurry on out of here.
R/R: Meh. It's Monday, I'm busy as can be with things I don't really want to do, and I have cramps. At least I'm working from home today so I can stay in stretchy pants.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What is one skill you would like to master that you don't have? I would love to speak Spanish. My grandfather was born in Cuba and I know it would mean so much to him to hear me speak it. I've taken lessons but I just can't get to the point of having natural/comfortable conversation.
@JJMNO1616 Yay for possible O! CM can be funny like that, which is why for so many it's a secondary sign. If for any reason EWCM does decide to pop up late, I'd try to get an extra session of BDing in just in case!
@Mythril FX that you have some growing follies in there today.
@BusinessWife Enjoy your manicure! We're also in the "pinching every penny and then some for IVF" boat. It's really hard. To add insult to injury, we are trying to secure a home right now because it's cheaper to buy than to rent where we are- but buying still comes with a lot of up front expense obviously. So it will be months before we can pay the OOP costs for IVF and even that will be no easy feat, which sucks because mentally I'm ready to get this show on the road. I agree with you that while it may be uncouth to talk about money IRL, I don't think it should be taboo on here. The costs of treatments can be astronomical and life altering and it's hard to not have people IRL know what you're up against. I have everything crossed for your DH's procedure when the time comes.
@starla I'm impressed that you play the violin! Very cool. Sorry about the low temps...hopefully it's just a shift in your sleeping patterns and not indicative of anything else.
@Cricket648 I'm sorry you'll be put through such a nerve wrecking observation. GL to your students on their test today!
@50Wife Running is a good one. I really have no stamina and could stand to make some real progress when it comes to that. Here's hoping this Monday is relatively painless.
@heatherdubrow One of my close friends did yoga instructor training and I thought it was a really cool accomplishment, even if she does not actually teach yoga for a living. I know she made a really great network of friends through it, which is an added perk!
@JJMNO1616 Yasss for extra HIO and a temp spike today! I wouldn't be too perplexed by the creamy CM w/ O situation. *TW* FWIW, I got KU twice (with DD and with our loss) while I had creamy CM. So, in my anecdotal experience, it's def possible to get KU with creamy CM. *TW* TCOYF does say that, even though it's not the most firtile kind, it's still fertile! I would keep on HIO though, just in case. FX for you!
@Mythril I'm sorry about your u/s worries today. I really hope that everything goes well at your appt.
@Cricket648 I'm sorry that you are having an emotional day and that work is stressing you. Hang in there. Maybe find some way to treat yourself tonight and de-stress?
WAYDTGKU: TTA this first cycle AL. Still charting BBT, CM, taking PNV.
R/R: Cramps are better today. PRAISE THE LAWD. No rant to speak of right now.
CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: What is one skill you would like to master that you don't have? I'd really like to be fluent in Spanish. I took 4 years in HS but that was s lifetime ago. I'd love to get Rosetta Stone and get on that but we've got a ton of other stuff on our list right now.
CS/Q: So I had a fever on Saturday, so my morning temp was much higher than normal, would you disregard that temp?
GTKY: What is one skill you would like to master that you don't have?
@JJMNO1616 FX for O. I also feel like my CM is off, I change from EW before O. @Mythril FX for your appt. today. I hope she is a bit more tactful in how she speaks to you this time. @BusinessWife I am in desperate need of a pedicure! So jealous of your nail appt. @aliw220 sorry for CD1 @cricket648 Sending hugs during a rough time! An ouch, being observed during the final part of the year is rough. @50wife I am an on and off runner, it is so hard to get into a routine. You should just sign up for your run, then you have to do it @sed8611 FX for O @mschanandlerbong1214 FX for O! @georgiagirl3050 FX for your cross hairs! @heatherdubrow Yoga is something I would love to do more. It is hard on my wrists, but I really need to improve my flexibility and stretch more.

@JJMNO1616 I get creamy cm on O day sometimes too. I'm not sure what it means. When it happens I always wonder if I got O day wrong but with temping and OPKs it's pretty obvious that it's right.
@BusinessWife have fun getting your nails done! It's always great to pamper yourself! I'm sorry everything is OOP for you. While my expenses are no where near yours at the moment, everything for us is OOP too and I'm starting to get all the bills from just a few tests. It really does stink and I wish it didn't have to be so financially stressful for you. Hugs

WAYDTGKU: Everything
R/R: I took the weekend off from the bump. It was a nice break since I'll be busy this coming week making sure we have good timing around O. I woke up really warm this morning so when I took my temp it was high. So now my chart will be all wonky.
CS/Q: Just a hilly mess right now.
GTKY: What is one skill you would like to master that you don't have? Gardening/landscape. There is so much I would love to do in my yard around my house but I have no clue what I'm doing.
@JJMNO1616 do you use opks or are you just going off of temping and CM?
@Mythril good luck with your appointment today! Keep us posted with how it goes. I hope that the doctor doesn't make any invalidating comments!
@BusinessWife I hope that everything works out smoothly for planning for IVF. Sorry that you have all of that going on right now it does sound very stressful. Yay for nails and self care!
@starla did you temp during AF? Usually temps tend to be higher during AF so you may just see them regulating a bit more if AF is leaving
@Cricket648 sorry for the sadness today, I hope your day brightens up a bit!
WAYDTGKU: HIO EOD, BBT, teas, progesterone after O
R/R: I had a fantastic weekend after a down day on Friday. Had a great time with family in town. And my niece was so sweet until she threw a water bottle at my nose.
CS/Q: I got a temp spike today! The earliest I've ever O'ed is CD20, and that was before we were TTC, so this is our best shot yet! After seeing my temp this morning, DH and I had some morning DTD. I think I had some O cramping yesterday, so FX. I think I'll start progesterone tomorrow if my temp is still up?
GTKY: touching my toes! I have no flexibility. I try to do yoga, but can never stick with it long enough. Though DH said I was more flexible a few nights ago

@kbamomma33@labgrand2012@mispanda Thanks for sharing your experiences. It's helpful to know I'm not the only one who has confusing CM.
@beachbunnyxo123 I'm just going off of temping and CM. My temp spike the past few cycles has been pretty obvious though. So I haven't really been questioning O. My chart is in the spoiler.
WAYDTGKU: TBD if we're able to try this cycle. Ultrasound to check if I have fibroids this afternoon; meeting with OBGYN about results on Thursday. So, we'll see how my body cooperates re: ovulation etc.
R/R: I have final presentations due this week that I didn't start until the last minute soooooo gold star for me
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: What is one skill you would like to master that you don't have? Maybe playing a musical instrument. I sang and was in choirs until I went to college, and I wish I'd also learned how to play an instrument.
@labgrand2012 I'm no charting expert (so take this with a grain of salt) but, I might temp for a few more days just to see more of your chart before I'd disregard that Saturday temp. I know your fever probably did cause it to be out of whack, but I'd be curious to see more of your pattern before disregarding.
@icecubeinthedesert I'm so so glad that you had a fantastic weekend! And hooray for the temp spike.
@doxiemoxie212 I really hope that your appointment goes well and that you get some good, definitive info on Thursday.
@JJMNO1616, high five to my potential O day buddy! Did you have any more fertile CM earlier in the day?
@BusinessWife, have fun getting a little pampering in today!
@Cricket648, sorry you're stressed. Hopefully this last but of the school year goes by really quickly for you!
@50wife, I also wish I could get into running. My problem is that I push myself too hard and end up injuring myself, which ends the habit for a while.
@sed8611, Welcome! Which so are you using to track? Are you just going off of previous cycle data?
@magnolia131, good luck at your appointment tomorrow!
@kbamomma33, now I want to listen to Missy after your gif! Glad your cramps are going away!
@labgrand2012, if you're using fertility friend, you can mark that temp with the fever symptom, and I think it will count it as an open circle, which is weighted less strongly for crosshairs. Then later if you think it is messing up your chart, you can disregard it.
@icecubeinthedesert I honestly didn't notice my CM much from CD10-14 except for when it got creamy. With DH and I HIO all week I didn't know if what I was seeing was actually CM or just sex. So no EW or wet CM in the morning that I remember?
@JJMNO1616@beachbunnyxo123 My temp dropped to below CL (about 97.4F) a couple days before AF. Previous cycles it seems to stay about about there and only dips down when I try to O. Then it dips as low as 96.6F. It seems way too early for that at CD7!

WAYDTGKU: PNVs, Clearblue Fertility monitor, starting OPKs today, CM, CP, BBT, pre-seed, prayers to Saint Gerard, wearing a relic of Saint Gerard. I have an appointment with the physician's assistant to a RE on Wednesday just to get my hormones checked out etc since I had such a wonky an-O cycle after going off BC.
R/R: I'm having really bad heel/ankle pain in both my feet and have a big vacation involving mostly walking/hiking in a month. I can't seem to get my feet to feel better. I've tried every insole I can get my hands on. I'm icing my feet every night. I took NSAIDs for 7 days while on AF and early in my cycle. I've been wearing compression socks. I just don't know what else I can do, and I'm really frustrated. The only thing that really seems to help is the NSAIDs, but I can't take them anymore because the one I was taking prevents ovulation. AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGG. Also I couldn't get a good temp this morning because I woke up a bunch of times during the night.
CS/Q: How are my temps looking? (link to chart in siggy) Last cycle was an-O so my temps were really wacky. Do my temps look more normal this cycle? I don't have enough experience temping to tell. Also, my average temps are a lot lower this cycle. Is it normal to have higher temps after going off of BC or having an an-O cycle?
GTKY: What is one skill you would like to master that you don't have? Cooking. I can follow a recipe and make some good things, but I'd love to be one of those people who can cook without a recipe. Every time I've tried it, the results have been disastrous. Or maybe dancing. I'm REALLY not coordinated and not flexible. I'd love to be flexible and graceful.
I'm so late to the game today!!!@JJMNO1616 FX for O! I wouldn't worry to much about the CM situation. I tend to occasionally get creamy CM on O day *TW* including the cycle I got KU *end TW*. However, after looking at your chart I would suggest either using some OPKs or marking your CM more frequently just in case there is a cycle in the future where your temp spike may not be as noticeable. The more FF has to work with, the more accurate it will be.
Sorry you are feeling so anxious about your appointment today @Mythril. I hope all goes well.
Sorry for CD1 @AliW220@beachbunnyxo123
FX for you two @BusinessWife
Hope all goes well today @doxiemoxie212@labgrand2012 I would leave the temp unless it starts to interfere with FF's interpretation. Since it is already an open circle FF likely will not weigh it as heavily as your other temps when trying to determine O.
@sunniegrly That is a really tough question to answer because everyone has their own "normal", and it is still pretty early in your cycle to really see anything. In regards to the lower temps, there are so many factors that can affect your temps in that way. I know that it can be stressful, but unfortunately all that can really be done at this point is to just wait and see what happens. Hope you are feeling better for your vacation!Month/Cycle: 12/13

Adds up quick!

@AliW220 Sorry for CD1.
@starla I'm impressed that you play the violin! Very cool. Sorry about the low temps...hopefully it's just a shift in your sleeping patterns and not indicative of anything else.
