Happy Saturday ladies!
I see myself starting this thread every Saturday since heeeeey I work

Anyways, nothing special going on this weekend. Have a bit of a rant this morning. DH asked me yesterday when I'm having my baby shower. I tell him when and he asks what day of the week is that. I say Saturday. He says "you work Saturday". I say yes I'm working half a day (on the day of my own baby shower!). He says we really need to save those hours for when I'm out on maternity leave. I say well I can't have the shower any other day because no one is going to be able to come if it's during the week and my sister it literally driving 12 hours just to throw it for me and she leaves the Sunday afterwards. He says "well, I guess we just won't eat then." That's right you guys. We're going to go hungry during my maternity leave because I'm taking part of the day off to go to my own baby shower. He's really going to flip when I tell him I'm taking part of another Saturday.
Re: Weekend ChitChat
Speaking of dh, he is doing a 24 hour race today, so I'm sure I'll be getting a lot of texts/phone calls from him throughout the day asking me to bring him stuff. He's already told me I need to have my phone fully charged so I can switch my battery out with his when I go out there this morning. He's going to be in for a rude awakening when he realizes I'm not driving out there to switch batteries again later tonight. I don't care that he's doing this thing, but he's been acting like I'll just be around at the drop of a hat to bring him stuff and originally wanted me to come out there and sit for 8 hours watching him do laps on a track. Sorry, no.
Aside from that fun, I have a ton of work to catch up on thanks to a supplier taking longer than they were supposed to to get my backordered stuff to me. Should be interesting trying to work today when I'm by myself with 3 kids and tomorrow while dh is home being a big baby from being tired and sore.

@sjohns908 I think you're wife of the year just for going out there once to change the battery! I have zero idea why anyone would want to run laps around a circular track for a full day.
@jessafishy what a cutie
We woke up to gorgeous weather in the low 70s, so getting outside is a requirement. Trying to figure out an activity that can include the pups.
im just laying in bed getting hungrier by the second but don't want to get up. hmm. Cereal sounds good.

having to work every weekend. I think we will still send our son a couple days a week so he can have that interaction and preschool environment. I just keep telling myself it's temporary, it's temporary....
@jessafishy the crawling all over me and elbowing me drives me nuuuuuts. I get jealous of my dog too! And DH because they don't seem to do that to him.
It's supposed to rain all weekend here.. womp womp. We were planning to go to the zoo today and go bike riding tomorrow but now it looks like we'll mostly be hanging out at home.

@curlyq423 weekends do suck to work, but knowing you're saving a bunch of money you can put towards savings or fun trips hopefully eases that pain a bit. It is only temporary, but it still sucks
He's the type of person who looks at the angled side of the closet that makes installing a rod difficult and says, let's just buy a free-standing system. I'm the type of person who googles "how to install a rod on an angled wall"
Moral of the story: Arguing over nursery closets=really dumb.
For us, this weekend is full of house hunting again. Fingers crossed that we get an accepted offer on our perfect house. Last weekend was heartbreaking when we didnt get the house of our dreams
I'm hoping to hit motherhood maternity tomorrow because I have a 55% off one item coupon. Their pants fit me really well, but are quite expensive, so I'm excited to have a good coupon!
I survived my triathlon this morning! Now to veg for the rest of the weekend.

I'm not even going to think about the nursery right now. The closet is full of stuff we probably should store somewhere else BUT we don't have anywhere else to put it. This house is too small for us.

Nothing too exciting this weekend. I'm gonna try to sweep/mop the floors today. DH wants to see Guardians of the Galaxy later today. I'm
game, depending on how I feel. Tomorrow we have a birthday party for my BIL's gf. I'm sure we'll see a bunch of DH's extended family there. This will be a test to my introverted tendencies. They are lovely people, but it can be exhausting interacting with them.

@feeislove lol your DH is being such a drama queen but I'm glad you're taking it in good spirits.
we are the resident lazy bums of the group. DH always gets mad at me that I can sleep through the day when he wants to get up and do something - yet never actually gets up. So it's nearly 2 and we're trying to figure out what to do with our lives. I consider it us cherishing our weekend mornings while they're still quiet and ours.
