I guess I should stop lurking and introduce myself. I'm not sure if my head is ready to be here on this board yet but it gives me hope and helps me to think positively.
This is all so new to me so please forgive me if I've used the wrong acronyms or not included a TW when I was supposed to.
In March/17 I started counting the days and recounting and then recounting again and realized the dates didn't line up. I was a week late, my breasts hurt and I felt queazy. I was completely shocked, NTNP but I kept thinking I'm either pregnant or perimenopausal

! Took a HPT and got my BFP and we both fell in love with our little appleseed. But at 7w3d I had my first US and OB sent me home heartbroken. I m/c naturally and am currently still spotting but I need to focus on better things so here I am, with hope for brighter days ahead.
I'm 40 and SO is 41. We spent the last 18 years thinking we would TTC in just a few more years... But we got the little kick in the butt that we so badly needed, our little surprise made us instantly realize, we are more than ready but now I'm scared to death that we maybe left it too late.
I'm not sure if I have the strength to TTC yet (I guess I'm technically what you call benched for a full cycle or two anyway) but I figured I'd say hello as you all sound so incredibly supportive.

@dpjennifer - ugh, thank you for letting me know, I thought I had it turned off. Heartbreaking to go back and see where I would've been. I really hope I didn't offed anyone with it.
