Re: IF/Testing Weekly Check-in 5/1

  • @saralee797-2 yay!! I used the apothecary shop online the first time around and now stroheckers pharmacy. Might be worth a call to those places.

  • Awww @BertieMeetsGertie thanks, friend! My H just called with some good news. I can get everything through the hospital associated with our clinic for like $1,500!! It is an IF miracle. I am going to have him call GoodRX anyway to double check. Thanks for your support. I miss interacting with you daily but know I am still lurking and rooting for you :)
    That's amazing news!! So glad you were able get the cost down substantially.  :)

  • @eggplantface oh good!!  Happy that things will be a little more simple and you can plan out your FET now!
  • @eggplantface Yayyyy that is awesome news! I can't wait to hear about your new schedule.
  • @heatherdubrow That would be awesome! I need to call/email my nurse to get the updated schedule.

    @haylsbayls I don't actually know what the recovery time is (I've read a week before doing anything TTC-related, like sex), so I'm curious if I'm allowed to start estrogen right away or if I need to wait a week. I'm on BCP so there's no cycle to wait on, just time.

  • Ok stupid me tested today at 11dpo and obviously got a BFN.  So now as I'm moving closer to IVF I do have a question...I'm on mobile so it's hard to tag everyone...my office doesn't do bc pills prior to, so the month of May I'm doing all my testing but also ordering meds.  Should we not be having sex? I mean clearly I would be a SS and get KU but in all seriousness I wouldn't want to have just wasted $5200 on meds.  Or should I say f it and if it happens then I'm only out $5200 not the $15k or more  that ivf could cost me?????

    @eggplantface Great news!

    @ramzlau GL with the biopsy results today--please update us!

    @leekat14 Sorry for the BFN  :( Not doing IVF right now myself but if I were in your position I'd probably keep HIO on the off chance of getting lucky.
  • @leekat14 Sorry for the bfn. Unless your office specifically tells you to abstain I say HIO.  You don't have to order a full cycles worth right away so you can order a few days worth of meds at first and then order more once you start.  Just about all the pharms ship over night.

    Also, like @eggplantface said, shop around if you are self-pay.  Ask your RE office if they have a preferred pharm that offers a discount program.  We are self-pay for meds and I use Apothecary by Design which offers a discount for my doctors office.  And most all of them offer self pay discounts and compassionate care programs.
