anyone has good suggestions for diapers bags for 2 plus kids! I already feel like I have a hard time staying organized with just one kid I can't imagine two!
We've used the bebe amour diaper backpack for our two for almost two years and love it. Lots of pockets on the surface and inside and the whole thing is easily washable, just throw into the washer! A backpack was a must for us with 2 because I would usually wear the baby on my front and having a one shoulder bag was not uncomfortable at all.
I actually just got a Jujube be right back. I baby wear so I really needed a new backpack since I was using a regular Vera Bradley back pack with my DS. I really like this one though the straps are super comfy, insulated side pockets for drinks, so much storage and organization, wipeable. I could go on and on but it's love for sure and more than enough room for two little ones.
Tbh, I don't have a lot of stuff in the diaper bag as it is, since I keep a pack of wipes and diapers in the car. I have a hard plastic wipe container that came with my Petunia Picklebottom, and up until now, I've had a small pack of wipes (18 I think?) and a couple diapers in it. So the bag itself has a few toys, an extra shirt, puffs and a bib. I got REALLY lucky with DD in that she never really spit up and we haven't had a poosplosion while out and about. I'm hoping that KidUnit #2 will be similar (ha!! Who am I kidding?!)
i have 2 behind the seat organizers that I'll use, one for each child, so in theory, that will help cut back on diaper bag overload.
I have a MK diaper bag. I love it because it looks like an over-sized purse not a diaper bag. I keep way too much stuff in it so I think it's big enough for two if I consolidate. TBH I hardly ever use it...I end up just throwing some diapers and wipes in my regular purse or car.
I have no tips but following this post DD has a backpack that we carry (she is 18 months) so it's pretty light one extra outfit, toys, snacks, juice boxes, I keep diapers and wipes in the car. So it'll be interesting to go back to a fully stocked diaper bag + toddler essentials.
It's been so long since we used a diaper bag, but we had a Diaper Dude bag which is kind of messenger style and is plain so DH didn't mind carrying it. It had lots of organization and was still not bulky. Eventually we just graduated to throwing some extra stuff in my bag or the car.
Right now I have DS who is 21 months and a few months ago I purchased a Jujube BFF with hopes of a second baby. I had been using a Skip Hop messenger style bag but it was just too heavy and didn't work for chasing a toddler around. I love the BFF. I use my diaper bag as a purse when I am out with DS and this has room for all of my stuff, including a water bottle, and his and room to spare. I am pretty sure it will work when baby #2 arrives. I pack everything in separate zipper pouches so if I don't need something, like extra clothes or toys for the restaurant, I can easily leave it out. I am hoping that system will work well when I have to add in baby #2's items. I am also considering getting the smaller Mini Be if I find that they are often going separate directions and both need a bag, although DS will be in preschool by then and will have a backpack so that may do the job. However, I'm not too excited about the idea of carrying a toddler back pack around, although I probably don't have a choice.
I love my Vera Bradley LARGE stroll around. Not the regular one. It's big enough for the twins stuff, plus I can easily add some more for another baby. It has straps that attach to the stroller. We also have a backpack for just quick outtings, but the diaper bag goes to daycare, etc.
Dude... I regularly forget the diaper bag at home... It gets legitimately 'used'... like once every 2 months? Maybe? hahaha... doesn't help that we are homebodies lol
I just have the one right now, but I recently switched to a regular backpack when we're going to be out and about for more than just an hour or two and I really like it. Otherwise I just use my big purse. I personally HATED the Skip Hop Duo. I'm sure I'll need to reevaluate as DS1 gets older but I find that they really just don't need that much when they're little.
ETA: DS was a major spitter-upper and we always kept 2 extra changes of clothes in the car instead of hauling them around in a bag when we'd be semi-close to it to change him.
