Re: Newbie Intro Thread Week of 4/24/17
Age: 34 (me), 40 (so)
TTC: 2 months
WAYDTGKU: umm...sex...lots of it. And kinda tracking for ovulation but yea not hard core temping and what not.
All about me spew:
I have two boys (5, 6) by a previous marriage. SO has one boy (8) by a previous marriage. No we aren't married...that's overrated or something like that. I teach in hell. And await summer vacation like it's my second job. I have a chronic back issue which makes me nervous for what pregnancy will be like this time around bc I am two years post multi level fusion...I suppose we may find out eventually the torture that I am in for. That's it. For now.
Ages (you and SO): 34 and SO is 34
How many months have you been TTC? next week it'll be 12 months
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? using OPT's, I got my first positive yesterday! So I'm off to the TWW thread soon. I've also done BBT but not as much as I should have.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) My DH and I have been married for 3 years, but we dated for 8 years before then. we have a very spoiled 4 yr old cat named Robyn. I've worked for a lumber company for almost 11 years, doing different things but I'm currently the HR Advocate for the location I work at. My DH owns his own web design company and works from home.
Omg! I'm so excited to be able to finally post! I've been seriously lurking in my probation period. So happy to be able to contribute now! I've read all the sticky posts, the guide, etc. so hopefully I won't do anything dumb. ;-)
Ages (you and SO): I'm 31 and DH is 29.
How many months have you been TTC? One! I'm such a newbie, haha!
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Probably too much for just getting started, hehe! But...OPK's, PNV, no alcohol, less coffee, legs up after sex (wive's tale, I know...but why not?), counting cycle days, just started charting BBT, CM and cervical position, eating pineapple...and having sex. :-P
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We've been together for almost 5 years and married for 2. No kids yet for either of us. This is a first marriage for both of us and first time TTC ever so we are super excited! Right now DH is living long distance, but can fly in town for a night or two when the timing is right. In August we will be living together again. I'm going to school for computer science online and hope to wrap up my degree during my pregnancy or shortly thereafter.
Me (32) & DH (34) & married for 10 years
NTNP since Jan. 2016 (when I came off BCP), actively TTC since Aug. 2016 (started temping), seeing an RE since Dec. 2016 due to extra long cycles (started tracking in Aug: +40 & +80 days).
WAYDTGKU: 2 cycles of Letrozole (5mg) = BFN, 3rd/currently on Letrozole (7.5mg x 5d) & Gondal F (first shot was yesterday, 75units x 3d) with cycle monitoring and blood work. CD11 had one 0.9 follicle on the right and two on the left: 1.2 & 1.0. FX those increase in size!
About me: I don't want to say too much as I'm at an age where many of my friends are TTC and I want to stay anonymous. I'm from Canada and we have 3 fur babies (S, M & L dogs). I like most dogs more than most people. I work in a office setting so I sit all day and have a long commute. I workout often (+5/week) but I'm technically considered obese at 5'2" and 165lbs. Doc asked me to loose weight (5-10lbs) at the first appointment because he said it would help and DH immediately piped up and told him how I eat salads every day and work out often, so it was nice that DH noticed. I love to read and walk my fur babies, not at the same time though LOL. I enjoy skiing and snowboarding. I'm adventurous and love a good thrill, DH and I used to go to theme parks all the time.
I'm hoping this is my cycle since my BFF just told me they started trying and I feel like something is wrong with me since so many people I know have been able to get pregnant and I can't.

Ages (you and SO): I'm 27 and DH is 26 (will be 27 in 3 weeks) and we've been together for 8 years and married for 2.
How many months have you been TTC? May will mark 17 months TTC
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Having lots of sex mostly. Also PNV and checking cervical mucus, I used to chart BBT but after doing it for 8 months and getting no reward I stopped. My cycles are regular, so I feel comfortable with the good old CM tracking method.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We live in southern california with two dogs and a cat. I work at a zoo and DH works in video games. I've gotten really into baking recently and it's a good way to get my mind off the TTC grind, plus all those cookies and cakes help when I feel like crap. We recently went to see a fertility specialist and though she gave us lots of options, DH doesn't want to do any of it. He thinks that if we can't get pregnant naturally, then we shouldn't do it at all, but honestly I think he's afraid to get tested in case he ends up being the "problem" (not that I would look at it that way, but men are men..) Basically we decided if we can't get pregnant the old fashioned way after 3 years of trying, then we'd start looking into adoption.
I'm currently in the TWW and my period is due on Saturday. I know I probably should've waited until the start of my next cycle to get back into this board, but I feel so NOT pregnant that I figured what difference does it make. I honestly stopped buying HPTs a while ago. The depression is real over here...

@Knottie97268847 Your name makes you hard to distinguish and tag. You can change it at the knot to something more distinguishable. Otherwise will be tough for people to remember who you are!
@Amphibious22 I also left this board after a bit around when I hit month 7 or 8 and then came back around too after I hit a year TTC. I left because it became depressing to me but I'm really happy I came back because I think I need it more now than I did at the beginning and it has helped me a lot to be LESS depressed at the point I'm at now. Hope it does the same for you
PS. MH was SURE "he was the problem" and once we got him a SA it turned out "I'm the problem". We are going the ART route but I totally understand why that may not be the path for everyone. GL to you!
Ages (you and SO): me 28, SO 39
How many months have you been TTC? one
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Lots of sex
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have two littles (10 months and 5 years), I do makeup artistry and work for an insurance company. I have been on the bump before, used the site when I was trying for my second baby, but mostly lurked rather than posted. Excited to get involved in the community.
Good luck with ART!! I do sometimes wish I could go that route, but I also understand DHs feelings about it. It's just hard all over.
