Hello friends. Our board is so slow, weekends literally drag. Share your weekend BS here!

Edited to say, BS includes all things happy, sad, and random AF.

Edited again because apparently firefox doesn't want me to gif, so I had to reopen this in chrome.

  • @bridge-and-wall yeah I wouldn't mess around with that either!
  • It is 80 degrees and muggy out. Bleh.
  • @jena333-2 oh yummm... I'm coming over for potato skins :joy:

    Those potatoes look DELICIOUS.

DH and I went for a walk to get an early lunch--we got shawarma, yum yum. It is warm out there, and ooh boy, it is a bad allergy day in the Northeast. The internet told me the pollen count is 11.8 out of 12. I'm trying to regroup from the sneezing on the couch before breaking out the laptop to do some work.
I got a pollen alert from CVS - but your post made me put two and two together, I slept with the window open and a fan in it. This explains the coughing and sneezing this morning that cleared itself up. I've never really dealt with allergies before.
They are THE WORST. I am not sure whether I'm still sick from weeks ago (sore throat is long gone, but I'm still hoarse and coughing up phlegm) or if my typically bad allergies have gotten even worse thanks to pregnancy.

My medication list says Claritin and Zyrtec are both pregnancy-safe! I have been taking my Zyrtec every day. It doesn't do much when the pollen counts are THIS high, however.
  • Now I want potato skins.
  • Did some searching online for a vehicle this morning then worked on some cleaning. My allergies were terrible so I took a Benadryl and laid down with the baby. Dh is running errands so me and my daughter are watching law and order while the baby naps. I can't wait for him to get home with my Reese's and ice cream!!

My husband and I were loading up the car to take our bored puppy for a walk, when he got paged for a critical event at work. He drove me to the park (while on the call), I walked the dog while he took the call and we all came home with him still on the call. He resolved it just as we were pulling back into our driveway. Ugh!!!
  • Some days I like having an HOA and some days I hate it.

For our our next house I'm insanely tempted to build from plans we create ourselves. I'm so tired of finding things done wrong or poorly in both of the houses we've bought.
  • Our MFing water heater isn't working again. And the mess of trying to get it fixed on a weekend has me ragey. Showers are my sanity. It might be Tuesday or Wednesday before we have hot water. Not. Happy.
  • @Carebella ours was down for a few days a few months ago. It's so frustrating! Hope it's up and running soon!

I hate having an HOA. We're on a corner lot and when we first moved in we got a citation for the bushes going over the sidewalk too far. (Let me just add that we had only lived here 3 weeks. Give me a break!!) So we paid to have them cut back. They came out again to inspect and said they were fine. The VERY NEXT week, another citation for the freakin bushes!!! I'm no plant expert, but there's NO WAY they grew that fast!!

And @Carebella, I feel your pain. Ours just bit the dust and had to be replaced...I hope they fix yours fast!!!

    Edited because autocorrect hates me...

  • Thanks @LaceyC1020. It's newer too, February 2014, and it was fixed on March 14th... I suspect nothing but more trouble from the unit. If it has another issue after this fix I'm going to demand the manufacturer replace it. Also, I'd be pissed with your HOA too, that's BS.
