Oh gosh... I can't believe I am going to admit this, but it IS FFFC. And I'll get flamed for it, but I totally deserve it.
Yesterday, at the Endo doctor in the waiting room 2 things happened... 1. There was a lady who was so severally overweight (well I guess technically obese) that she couldn't get up. Two people had to assist her in getting up. 2. Another obese lady fell asleep and was snoring SO loud.
I thought to myself... HOW stereotypical is this of overweight/obese people (i.e. stereotypes of lazy/can't do/etc.)??? I felt like I was in a movie.
Edit: I didn't actually admit my FFFC. I judged the woman snoring a little too hard. The woman who couldn't get up, I thought may have a knee/leg issue... but the woman just flat out snoring, I thought... COME ON! Which again... she could have been up all night with a sick kid, been working all night, a number of things... But I did judge.
I have never used a hash tag! Never! I will hold out as long as possible!!
On this note...I totally judge people who use hashtags incorrectly. A few of my mom friends from my church are the worst...they will literally turn full sentences about their kids into hashtags. THAT'S NOT THE POINT. Also the hashtags for your child's name. I'm so over it.

I am so guilty of this. I have a hashtag for SD5, DD3, and already have one for this kid... and our family as a whole. I know, I know... judge me!!!
I've been giving my replacement all of the crappy work I don't want to do. I'm just ready to not do any of this for 12 weeks.
I've definitely been slacking a bit at this 2 week contract. They didn't even try to hide the fact that they only have me there to cover until the guy they want is available, so I'm not exactly going above and beyond to do anything.
Also I'm guilty of weird hashtags, I use them to make jokes mostly though #AtLeastIThinkItsFunny
I was kinda hoping that they were going to put me off of work after my trip to L&D last night. While I can work and it has been deemed safe it definitely makes the cramping/contractions worse. Less pain would be nice.
I've been taking a lot longer than necessary to finish up the work I need to do before leave because I'm afraid if I finish it too quickly they'll give me other dumb work to do, and I'd rather surf the internet all day.
I want to punch a random stranger. I'm by myself at lunch and this lady ran into an acquaintance (pregnant with boy #2) here by my table and proceeds to go into this big dramatic spiel about her kids and her massive sex disappointment and this mom is trying to awkwardly relate to get this convo over, but I know she's like wtf.
@mirdamae03 At my last ultrasound, there was a woman in there going on and on about how she was about to go in for her "gender scan" and she was really really wanting a girl, she would just be devastated if it's a boy, she doesn't like boys and doesn't know what to do with them. The person she was talking to was either extremely polite or extremely ignorant because she just nodded and agreed with her. You could see the other pregnant women LITERALLY rolling their eyes.
@Wearmi1 I don't like you anymore. Dealing with all the stretch marks on my belly has been so hard mentally for me. Not feeling ruined. Even when I get in great shape after my kids I feel like it's not enough because of my darn stretch marks! I've learned to be more ok with them but it's been a hard road for self confidence! But really, yay you!! I'm just jealous and bitter And currently huge lol.
@Wearmi1 That's great! I totally expect all my stretch marks to appear in the next couple weeks. So far just the skin around my belly button is stretchy and weird looking.
This is totally flame worthy and I would never actually do it but...
sometimes I wish you could leave your kids home alone napping. I hate waking DS up from his nap or not being able to put him down so I can go get DD from preschool. He's a mess if I wake him from naps. What I need to find is another mom to trade off pick ups or a neighbor to come sit at my house while I run there and back.
I also sometimes wish it was acceptable to leave your kids in the car when running into the gas station or to pick up something where you park right out front. Most of our parents probably did this. But totally not cool now. You would have CPS called on you in an instant. And you just can't trust people. So I either avoid going in altogether or lug 2 toddlers in and out of the car for a 2 minute trip. That's mom life I guess! But I wish we lived in a time where it was more acceptable! Some countries leave their babies napping in strollers outside of grocery stores and coffee shops.
@JessyKV I am the mom the leaves her kids in the car for the gas station or pizza pick up or whatever. So flame away.
I have auto start, so the car is running (giving heat or air) and locked. I also can see it.
I have up to 5 kids in there at a time and the two littles are usually sleeping while I do this. Movies are playing and they are content, not need to drag them out.
I would never go shopping or get my nails done, but quick easy errands, I'm that mom!!
@Wino0920 I kind of love you for that. I need that kind of confidence. I think that is totally safe and reasonable. I think im almost more afraid of someone calling CPS on me then something happening to my kids at that point.
I made it through this pregnancy with no stretch marks.
Meant in the most loving way possible.
I'm not sure how I made it through without them. I suspect if I was gonna get them it would be towards the very end. I was up 40lbs when I had her so it's not like I wasn't packing on the pounds

I do often think about being called on, but I also just can't live my life that way. My kids are my world and I would never do anything that I truely felt would put them in harms way.
Good luck if you decide to ever do it. You are still a good mom!!!
@JessyKV yep I'm that mom too. DH flipped on me when he found out that if DD2 falls asleep on the way to pick up DD1 I leave her in the car. I can see the van the whole time, and especially right now with the belly it's hard to carry her. It takes me 2 min max to sign her sheet and walk back to the car. I told him if he doesn't like it he can pick up DD1. That shut him up.
Mom to Madison- 5 and Lillian 2....and now surprise baby #3!

I'm already annoyed about having to pick up DD from daycare when I'm on maternity leave, and needing to drag the infant into the school to do so instead of just leaving her in the car. Especially because I'd rather keep the baby away from the germ-fest that is a daycare center for as long as possible. But DH doesn't get home in time to do the daycare run, so as soon as our families have left, this will be my reality.
I made it through this pregnancy with no stretch marks.
Last pregnancy I didn't get any until 38 weeks, and then I got a billion all at once. I was pretty upset about it then, but I now that I have them already idgaf about getting more, which is kind of liberating in a weird way. I'd definitely prefer to not hand them at all though!
@delujm0 when I had DD, DD was in daycare while I was on maternity leave. I would call them and they would bring her out to me or one of the girls would run out and watch my car so I could run in and not carry a newborn in.
For preschool our director stands at the door letting parents in so a lot of the moms leave their babies in cars to run in and pick up. I usually bring DS in because he's awake and wants to go. I wish we had drive up pick up like some other preschools.
I am so succeptible to advertisements. Yesterday I got a Sonic oreo custard and today I got one of the McDonald's craft your own sandwiches. Fwiw, both were let downs, you're welcome.
I also haven't got stretch marks (yet) and didn't get them with DD. My FFFC is that every morning I check to see if I got any over the night, and to see if my belly button popped out.
My FFFC: I still have a flip phone. I got a Droid 4/5 years ago, couldn't deal with the bills and went back to the flip phone. I love my flip phone and I want to keep it for life LOL

I have a flip phone too! I use a tablet and WiFi at home, and i am a sahm now so I am home most of the day anyway. The only thing I would really like about a smartphone is the camera, but I can't justify the expense just for a convenient camera. Plus, my flip phone is from like 6 years old and still works exactly the same as it did originally.
Whenever I see a woman walking in heels I think about pushing her over. I would never do it, but picturing it is so funny to me... and I'm totally a Bitter Betty because I can pretty much only wear sandals at this point.
@JessyKV Last summer DH left DD and myself in the car while he ran into the grocery store for a couple of things. I was sitting in the backseat with her to keep her content. The car was running, the AC was on, he was in there 5 minutes tops, not to mention I was freaking in there with her. A man comes up to the window, the side that I am sitting on mind you, and says oh my gosh and walks away. I just made double sure the doors were locked because it never occurred to me he would also think I'm a child and call the police. Welp, that's exactly what he did. I didn't realize it until he walked back over to the car, on his phone, and was saying our license plate number. I jumped out of the car so quick to yell at him. I mean, I'm glad he was looking out for children... but I was pissed.
@ellie111227 You are my soulmate. I have had mine for 7 years, works well, DD has thrown it, I have dropped it down steps, and it still works great. And I only have to charge it once a week!
@JessyKV if I can see my kids from the window while I run in somewhere to get something, I leave the car running, lock the doors and run in. I look at them about 85 billion times a second but it's totally worth it. I have to admit that I could never bring myself to do it if It wasn't close and I could keep looking at them. It's insane that we can't even feel comfortable leaving our kids in a locked car with heat or a/c, 10 feet away from us!! What a sad world.

FFFC #2 totally just side-eyed my cousin's Facebook post in which she had pictures of her child's QU wedding pictures. There were pictures of 5 year olds in frilly dresses and "walking down the isle" with a boy dressed in a football uniform. I seriously thought "WTF weird Catholic tradition is this!" Until I googled and learned of the marriage of Q and U in Kindergarten! I had never heard of this before!!!
I lurk on TTGP and have for close to a year, since we stopped using BC. I only just realized a few weeks ago that when people are answering the question, "What are you doing to get knocked up?" with "PNV," they mean prenatal vitamins, not penis-in-vagina sex.
For those of you who leave you're LOs in the car while you run in someplace: would you actually get in trouble for that if someone reported you where you live? I know it's against the state law for a child to be left alone for any length of time if they're under 11 yo, in the car, the house, doesn't matter. They can't be left watching another, younger child unless they're over 14. And yes, they even apply it to running into the gas station here.
