I have my 40 week appointment tomorrow. I'm hoping I made some progress from last week, but I'm not getting my hopes up. This baby doesn't seem to want to leave anytime soon. I'm sure I'll get another sweep, so hopefully that'll get things moving
Oh man. This is my first week without a pregnancy or baby appointment in 10 weeks. I started going to the OB weekly at 33 weeks because of my BP, and we had a sick visit in between our newborn and two week pediatrician visits.

I have an NST Tuesday and Friday. My due date is Wednesday. I don't think I am having a baby this week. Last NST is next Tuesday and then my induction date.
I have my weekly tomorrow (technically today) at 40+4. I'll be asking for ANOTHER sweep (this would be my third), hoping I've had some sort of change. I assume we'll start talking induction methods. I'm desperately hoping to avoid pitocin!
Had my 40 week appointment today. I'm really mad because we didn't get to meet with the OB, it was a PA instead. Baby is measuring 9 pounds 7 ounces and I'm 2 cm dilated and pretty much fully effaced, baby is low. The NST showed some small contractions, doctor said it could be the start of labor or nothing. They are going to schedule an induction for week 41 and call with a date. I would tell them just to do it this week but I guess hospital policy is they won't do it before 41 weeks. I wanted to talk to the OB however cause she mentioned needing a section if he hit 9 and 1/2 pounds which he is basically at now.
Went to the hospital yesterday, because I thought my water was breaking (it broke at 39 weeks with my first). It was not. I have been having consistent (5-10 minutes) mild contractions since Tuesday. They are not painful, but very annoying. Had my 39+4 appt. today, and no change since yesterday, although I feel like the contractions are gradually starting to become stronger. Still 2cm and 80% effaced. I know I'm not due until Sunday, but I'm so frustrated. I go back to the OB Monday, if we dont have a baby by then, we will start to discuss inducing options. I just might actually have a May baby. Ugh.
Claire had a pedi appt today. She is gaining beautifully! She is 8lb6oz at 8 days old, birth weight was 8lb8oz. Her umbilical cord got stuck on my top and came off a bit prematurely this week, but pedi said it looks fine.
3cm 80 percent effaced, the baby had dropped. my doctor said she'd admit me if I came in for any reason labor related over the weekend and doesn't think I'll need an induction. The hospital is full up next week so I'll need to labor on my own or get called from the waiting list. My next appointment is 40+4 and I hope I won't be making that one.
I had a membrane sweep and feeling crampy, I hope we get to see some action soon!
