How many days/weeks old is baby? Any Appointments or updates for baby or mom? Concerns? Anything else you'd like to add? Rants/Raves/Questions? GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? If no Easter plans what are your weekend plans?
Symptoms? Braxton Hicks, heartburn, back aches, and not sleeping very well.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: finished all my to dos yesterday! DH and I pulled out the swing we had for DD to put it together and decided we rather buy this baby a new one, the one we had was given to us used and we realized how used it looked so we decided to splurge on one item for this baby and we can't wait to put the LO in it!
GTKY: Easter plans? We are doing an egg hunt in our back yard for DD. MIL is helping me fill eggs for her hunt. We are also having both SILs over for ham, potato salad and delived eggs!
Happy Tuesday, everyone! I'm sorry that I haven't been around much for Tuesday check-ins. It always seems to be a particularly busy day and the time just gets away from me! I hope everyone is doing well Congrats to @Squirtgun and good luck to @Kipperoo today!!!
How far along are you? 34 weeks How big is baby? Butternut squash Any appointments this week? Nope, next one is a week from today Symptoms? Routine pelvic/back pain, trouble sleeping, mild gastro issues...otherwise smooth sailing! Rants/Raves/Questions? We found out at our shower last weekend that we're having a GIRL! H is kind of freaking out, but I'm giving him time. We're a bit stressed getting down to the wire, but also trying to enjoy some peaceful nights together before life changes completely (I've been traveling a ton and he has been working 60+ hour weeks at a job that's 45 minutes away, so we haven't gotten to spend a lot of time together). GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? If no Easter plans what are your weekend plans? No Easter plans since we live a long way from family, but my 30th birthday is on Saturday!!! H is off for Good Friday, so we will have a three-day weekend together and I'm so excited (see above about not seeing each other much lately). We are deciding between a mini getaway to our favorite place that's about 3.5 hours away vs. picking out some fun things to do around town. Either option will likely involve a prenatal massage and lots of good food! I know he has a few surprises in store, and the weather is supposed to be beautiful. I can't wait!
Symptoms? Mostly the same, but my ribs have really started to get uncomfortable again.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave - I was miserably uncomfortable yesterday. My stomach felt huge, ribs hurt, couldn't find a comfy way to sit or lay on the couch, feet were swollen, etc. DH took one look at me when he got home from work, went down into the basement, and pulled out my zero gravity patio chair and lugged it all the way up to our bonus room for me to lay in while we watched tv. It was like heaven!
GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? If no Easter plans what are your weekend plans? Easter is pretty low-key for us - church and then dinner with someone's family. Don't know yet if it's mine or his. We have some baby stuff to do as well. I'd like to try the car seat in his truck since that's how we'll be getting home from the hospital, and I just realized I have no 0-3 month sleepers for the baby so I need to take care of that at some point.
How far along are you? 36 yay How big is baby?papaya Any appointments this week? Had nst and dr check yesterday, have u/s and dr check Thursday to make plans for delivery Symptoms? Can't sleep, some heartburn, swollen feet by evening Rants/Raves/Questions? Just hanging in there GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? If no Easter plans what are your plans for the weekend? My brother and his fiancé get here Saturday to be in town for Easter and for their wedding next weekend. We have a few other early arrivals for the wedding that will also spend Easter with us. I am hoping babies will stay out until the 24th!!
This baby gets hiccups all the time. To me, it feels like little kicks but (a) they happen very rhythmically (every few seconds) for a pretty long period of time and (b) I don't see a little foot trying to escape from my abdomen Now that she's had them more, I guess they feel less like kicks and I can imagine her jolting around in there!
@mrsfox2008 glad you had fun putting together a new swing for your new LO! @L1C4gal congrats on a baby girl! Also happy early birthday! @cherrybananas how sweet of DH! I have felt what I assume is baby hiccupping and it feels like a very rhythmic thump to me. Like there is no definition to it (like no hand or foot bumping up) it kind of just feels like my tummy is thumping in rhythm, if that makes any sense? @Kipperoo hope everything goes smoothly today! @squirtgun congrats!
How far along are you? 36 Weeks!
How big is baby? A papaya?
Any appointments this week? Yep today at 4:15! Another US to check on his growth (measuring big) and my fluid levels (a little extra). They didn't mention last time if they will be doing the GBS swab but they usually like to surprise me with those things anyway!
Symptoms? Increased pelvic pain/discomfort, occasional "lightening crotch", everyone is telling me I have dropped a bit so I guess that, heartburn, increased hunger, fatigue, tightening of stomach and some lower abdominal cramping.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I have so much still left to do! I have only cleaned baby blankets and crib sheets so far! I still have to go through all the clothes, clean them and organize the dresser. We went over the weekend and picked up the last of (hopefully I am sure we forgot some things) the essentials. Still have to stock up on diapers and wipes! Need to start packing my hospital bag!
GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? If no Easter plans what are your weekend plans? In laws house for dinner and my parents house for dessert. Should be the last big holiday without LO here!

@CherryBananas I'm afraid this baby takes after Mom/ Grandpa/ Great Grandpa and gets hiccups all. the. time. For the most part they feel like when I have the hiccups, a rhythmic jump in my stomach, but a little quicker. I often feel them at baby's butt, so their whole body must be jerking with each hiccup. When I do feel them down in the head it's like a little pulse almost.
@MrsFox2008 woo hoo for getting everything done. Now it's just a waiting game.
@L1C4gal Happy Early Birthday!! Mine is in a few weeks and I really hope LO and I don't share a birthday. Also, congrats on a girl! You are a strong one to hold off on waiting so long!
@0408Bear Looks like you will have a busy couple weeks. Makes the time go by faster and should be fun with all the festivities.
@Squirtgun congratulations again. Hope everything is going well so far.
@Kipperoo I love all your updates! Excited for another May baby!
How far along are you? 34 weeks
How big is baby? Papaya
Any appointments this week? None. Last week of no appts, start going every week next Tuesday.
Symptoms? SPD, tired easily, not sleeping so good because I get up to pee too often.
Rants/Raves/Questions?
GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? If no Easter plans what are your weekend plans? No plans, DH and I don't live by family or friends so probably doing more yard work.
@SWE2 my mom's birthday is close to my due date and she's really hoping he isn't born on her birthday either.
Thanks ladies! That rhythmic thumping us totally what I'm feeling. It was just happening a little quicker than I expected it to be so I wasn't sure. Either that or he's sparring with my insides
@MrsFox2008 How fun to get a new swing! @L1C4gal That's awesome that you found out at the shower! We did that with our first and it was so great! How did you do it? @CherryBananas That was really sweet of your DH to bring your chair up! @0408Bear I'm sending good vibes your way to make it until after your brother's wedding.
How far along are you? 34 weeks How big is baby? Butternut squash Any appointments this week? Started seeing the chiropractor last week and see her again on Thursday Symptoms? Exhaustion and hunger. I am waking up in the middle of the night to eat. I would love to consistently poop too. Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: Why, oh , why did I wait so long to go to the chiropractor?! Mom you were right, but it took me having a breech baby to actually try it. Rave: I have had two pain free days in a row. My hip pain was getting worse and worse and I just thought that was how it was gonna be this pregnancy. I went in on Thursday and although Friday was rough by Sunday I was feeling pretty good and yesterday and today I have no pain in my hips! I got out of bed and didn't have to limp to the bathroom holding the bed. Rave: After Christmas my brother and his GF broke up (hooray!) and then he heard that "the one that got away" may be interested in him again. It has been about 5 or 6 years since they dated (they were very young) and she is the one we have judged all gf since against. They have started dating again (but live far apart from us and each other) and were back home this weekend for a wedding and it was so sweet to see them together. She is awesome and I have my fingers crossed they will stick this time, since they are older and more established. I would be winning the SIL lottery if this lasts! GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? If no Easter plans what are your weekend plans? Friday we will be doing shopping and dinner at a sports bar with DH's parents and brothers. Saturday is Easter at my maternal grandparents (about 11 people). Sad my brother cannot make it because he was just home and works weekends. Sunday we usually go to my Grandparent's church for brunch, but I am not sure we are doing that this year. Then on Sunday afternoon we have the full Easter dinner at MIL's with her family. Almost everyone is still in the area, so it is easily 25-30 people.
I desperately want to respond you all individually, mostly because I'm just hanging out at the hospital, but mobile tagging is too hard for me at this moment, so....here's my last "baby on the inside" ticket change!
How far along are you? 36 weeks!
How big is baby? No clue because I can't see my signature. Let's hope she's big enough not to land in the NICU in a few hours!
Any appointments this week? Well...just this little thing called currently giving birth, haha...
Symptoms? The days leading up to this have been pretty uncomfortable. Lots of jabby/twisty baby moves, heartburn, vaginal pain/pressure, and disrupted sleep.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Just want to say thanks to everyone for the love!!
GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? We will see how this induction business goes down. Hopefully, we will all be home together. I have Easter baskets ready for the kiddos and my parents visiting. The parents will be on toddler duty and likely will take him to a little zoo Easter celebration and help him dye eggs.
Hi guys! @Kipperoo fingers crossed for no NICU time!
How old is baby? Haha, you're making me do math... 10 days old! (34wks gestational age today.) It seems like it's been so much longer than that in some ways, and so much shorter in other ways!
Baby updates? Thomas is off of breathing support! He's done with his bili light, and he's out of the isolette, and into an open bed! He's flown past many milestones this week, and we are so happy with his progress! He is still relying on his feeding tube, and is getting extra fortification mixed into my breast milk.
Concerns? Normal NICU stuff. It's really hard being away from him, but then when I'm with him in away from my girls. Ugh. I'm glad he's getting the care he needs, but I'm ready for him to be home!
Rants/raves/questions? Pumping sucks you guys. But if you haven't gotten your pump yet, I'd highly recommend the spectra!!! I have the spectra at home, and the hospital has the medela (which is also what I had with my girls.). Neither is particularly comfortable, but the spectra is a thousand times more comfortable than the medela. And I tend to get more milk when pumping with the spectra as well.
GTKY- Easter plans? We are planning to have a quiet Easter at home with just immediate family. I'm using Thomas as an excuse to not have to go to the in laws big dinner. We will go to church in the morning, and then try to just have a relaxing day with the girls at home. I'll go see Thomas either during their nap or after they are in bed, so they can have a whole day with me.
@Squirtgun, how are you feeling? Has the recovery been similar to previous ones for you? So glad to hear that Thomas is doing well!! And he's a perfect excuse for missing an inlaw dinner!
How far along are you? 35 Weeks (Scheduled C - 5/10)
How big is baby? Canary Melon or Mini Lop Rabbit
Any appointments this week? None this week (and only 3 left!)
Symptoms? Insomnia - I was up roaming the house and eating cereal around 4 this morning
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave, I guess: We have our only 'official' shower tomorrow at my husband's work. Since we're TEAM GREEN, we asked for it to be a diaper shower and I hope it pads our stash for a while! (FYI: I turned down another offer for a 'big' shower since this is the second baby, but he was at a different job when our first was born. I think they are very excited to celebrate with us, and I didn't feel like it was a super-greedy situation (if that makes sense).)
GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? If no Easter plans what are your weekend plans? My parents will be coming through town this weekend, so I am sure we will put together some sort of yummy lunch. DS isn't quite old enough to enjoy an egg hunt yet, but I am looking forward to that next year! '
@L1C4gal - I'm sorry if I've missed an explanation for this before, but how did y'all wait so long to find out??? Has someone had the info all this time? And, I hope you have a great birthday weekend!
@Kipperoo - Sending positive thoughts your way today! You know we're all on the edges of our seats!
@Louise_Belcher - That's really neat about your brother and his gf - I hope it goes well for them (and consequently for you).
@Squirtgun - Fx that he keeps improving enough to head home soon! I'm sure it's tough to feel like you're spread thin between your children.
@lilylover27 It sounds like you're doing a great job of getting prepared! @SWE2 It wasn't too hard to hold off on finding out...until the last few weeks, when it became unbearable @Louise_Belcher I hope it works out between your brother and the one that got away! What a fun story! @Kipperoo I hope things are going well! Fingers crossed for a smooth delivery and no NICU time! @Squirtgun I'm happy to hear that Thomas is doing so well, and that you'll get to spend some time with your girls this weekend! I know it must be tough to split your time--hang in there. @emilyalso MOTN cereal is the best
Thank you all for the early birthday wishes and the congrats on our little girl! @Louise_Belcher (I remember your story and cute picture from your first shower reveal!) and @emilyalso, we looked away during that part of our anatomy scan and had the U/S tech put the "potty shot" picture in a sealed envelope. It sat in our apartment for a few months (willpower!) and then we mailed it off to my BFF in CA, who wouldn't be able to come to the shower and wanted to help. She ordered golf balls off of Etsy that would explode in either pink or blue powder, then shipped them to my mom. So nobody at the shower knew and it was a fun surprise! H's cousin took some great pictures but we haven't gotten them yet, so here's one that ended up on FB. We're both golfers (that's how we met), so it seemed fitting--and our swings weren't exactly synced, which is why mine looks worse than his
How big is baby? Celery (blech)/three chocolate croissants (yesss)
Any appointments this week? Nada till next week
Symptoms? General discomfort, frequent urination. The latter is so annoying because I'm used to being a camel. Yesterday was beautiful here, and I had to cut our park playdate short because there was nowhere to pee.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Found a great deal on a City Select stroller on Albee Baby, so I finally pulled the trigger. Now I can't wait for it to come!
GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? We're not particularly religious, but we're going to my half-sister's for Passover seder on Saturday evening. I look forward to it every year since we don't get to see each other that often, especially since my husband and I moved from NYC to NJ. It will blow up our toddler's bedtime, but that's life. He does go to a Jewish preschool, so he may connect to parts of it this year!
Another Tuesday = Another week! Hi Tuesday Tickers!
@Kipperoo so excited for you to meet your baby girl today. FX for an uneventful delivery!
I'm mobile bumping too (until I get to work later) and will get to respond to all of the great posts so far.
How far along are you? 36 weeks
How big is baby? ~5.73 lbs and 18.7 in
Any appointments this week? Thursday... weekly appointments now
Symptoms? Well, yesterday it felt like baby boy burrowed way down and i was getting lots of sharp, shooting pains... not fun. Luckily, he moved up as the day went on
Rants/Raves/Questions? It's all going too fast and we still have SO much to do. I thought being on modified duty at work would help me get more done, but I'm so worried to look like I'm being lazy that I end up finding more stuff to do. My co-workers through mean awesome shower this past Sunday. They were all so very generous.. I'm so lucky! GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? If no Easter plans what are your weekend plans? No Easter plans. Gonna get baby things done and my hospital bag packed for sure! I finally printed that excel sheet @ShadeofGreen816 created.
@mrsfox2008 - Yay for the new swing! We're reusing most of our gear for this baby, which is how I justified a new stroller.
@L1C4gal - A girl! So exciting. That picture was great -- never seen a golf ball reveal! I'm also so impressed with your will power. I made our midwife tell me the sex of the baby over the phone because I couldn't wait even a few more hours to pick up a sealed envelope so my husband and I could find out together. Happy birthday, and enjoy yourself on your getaway!
@CherryBananas - Props to your husband! I hope you're feeling better. I had to Google what a zero gravity chair is, and it looks amazing.
@0408Bear - I can't imagine double the babies inside me. I hope they cooperate so you can make it to the wedding!
@lilylover27 - Good luck at your appointment! My OB does the swab at the 36-week visit, FWIW.
@Louise_Belcher - Hooray for being pain-free! I hope your brother and his girlfriend go the distance.
@Kipperoo - I hope everything is going well today! Fingers crossed baby has no/minimal NICU time!
@Squirtgun - Sounds like Thomas is progressing like a rock star! Keep it up, kid! Thanks for the advice re: Spectra. I got a script for new breast pump, and I was thinking of trying that one out (also have a Medela PISA).
@slowmo that's where we bought our car seat and stroller. They shipped very fast and were hear sooner than it said so hopefully yours comes quick
@Louise_Belcher your story is one I've gone through many times. My brother dated a girl for a few years and we love her. Then him being an ass that he is, broke up with her (Thanksgiving Eve) and has brought multiple new ones home. The current one is nice but has a 6mo old (which is fine) it's that she doesn't spend much time with her son and her parents are raising him which doesn't sit well with me. Children should come before dating and partying.
@L1C4gal You have some mighty strong will power!! I could barely wait 16 weeks to find out. LOVE the golf ball idea! How fun! Plus it's great that your friend could be involved without actually being there. How awesome!
@Squirtgun Hooray for all the milestones Will is reaching! Must be a great feeling to see all the achievements he has made so far
@emilyalsosometimes I wake up starving and I make waffles at 5am. Then since I'm up and my girls (dogs) are up I expect DH to have breakfast with me. He's not always pleased
@Kipperoo my recovery has been a lot faster this time than with my girls! But at the same time I've been a lot more exhausted this time because I'm literally never getting a break.
Thanks everyone for your interest/concern about Thomas .
@SWE2 I feel your brother dating pain. My brother is never single for more then a month and since early high school it has been a steady rotation of girls. I am probably an overprotective older sister and usually was not a super fan of his choices in partner. I would feel the exact same way if he was dating someone like you mentioned and would be giving major side eye. He did date a girl with a child for a bit and she was very nice, but the ties to the little girls father were too great for the relationship to last. This girl was his longest girlfriend and they dated for about 2.5 years I believe, but he was right out of high school and when they started dating she was still in high school and then started college, so busy non-settled lives. Now they are done with school and have been in their respective careers for a year or two. My fingers are crossed!
How far along are you? 34 weeks How big is baby? Butternut sqash Any appointments this week? Yesterday. They just checked heartbeat and belly measurement. Symptoms? Heartburn, frequently restroom trips, large appetite, swollen feet and hands Rants/Raves/Questions? None GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? If no Easter plans what are your weekend plans? No Easter plans or anything else.
@Kipperoo I hope your induction is going/went smoothly!
How far along are you? 35 weeks
How big is baby? A child's backpack
Any appointments this week? I had a prenatal appointment today. Baby girl passed her NST in like 10 minutes and I'm 1-2 cm, 70% effaced, and very soft (I had my pants off for the GBS swab and figured she could check while she was down there). Since I feel like the MFM could freak out at any point and demand an induction, this makes me feel much better. My husband, on the other hand, is already freaking out about a car baby.
Symptoms? My thyroid meds seem to be finally making a difference after upping them every six weeks with no change! I'm not nearly as completely exhausted and my blood pressure came down. My poor feet are so puffy now, though.
Rants/raves/questions: None.
GTKY: My best friend and her family (her daughter is DS1's best friend too) are coming over for Easter dinner. I can't wait. We haven't seen them in several weeks and we usually spend at least part of every weekend together.
Feb 2012: DS1 born 40w2d, 7 lb 11 oz, 20" May 2014: DS2 born 40w3d, 10 lb, 23"
@Louise_Belcher I'm glad you found some relief with the chiropractor. I'm booking an appointment with mine for next week and I'm hoping it helps with my hip pain.
@mrsrep123 I'm glad you enjoyed your shower with your coworkers
@slowmo those chairs are super comfortable. Laying back like that makes the pain in my ribs feel better for some reason so I've been loving it the last two days.
Hey ladies! Just wanted to give you all a quick update from my appointment yesterday! Everything looks good! Little guy is still measuring big, he is in the 85th percentile right now! Head and abdomen measuring 2 weeks ahead at 38 weeks and legs on track at 36 weeks. They are estimating he is already 7.8 pounds! Explains why I am feeling so uncomfortable! Still have extra fluid but they aren't concerned, Dr. just kept making jokes that if/when my water breaks to try to be home not out because it will be a lot. Dr. also kept saying don't go late so I asked what if I do go to 40 weeks and he said they may consider induction then. He also said if he came next week it wouldn't be bad due to his size so I am officially on the hunt for natural ways to induce labor!
I had what he thought was PUPPS two weeks ago but the horrible rash on my stomach has cleared and now I have itching on my ankles and under arms with some bumps but nothing like my stomach. He doesn't think I had PUPPS now but some weird pregnancy rash. He did however listen to me and I just had blood work this morning to rule out OC because I was concerned about that.

I have a question - what does it feel like to you when baby gets hiccups?
This baby gets hiccups all the time. To me, it feels like little kicks but (a) they happen very rhythmically (every few seconds) for a pretty long period of time and (b) I don't see a little foot trying to escape from my abdomen Now that she's had them more, I guess they feel less like kicks and I can imagine her jolting around in there!

Yep today at 4:15! Another US to check on his growth (measuring big) and my fluid levels (a little extra). They didn't mention last time if they will be doing the GBS swab but they usually like to surprise me with those things anyway!

@L1C4gal Happy Early Birthday!! Mine is in a few weeks and I really hope LO and I don't share a birthday. Also, congrats on a girl! You are a strong one to hold off on waiting so long!
@CherryBananas the hiccups feel like what @lilylover27 said. Not an actual jab but more rhythmic pulse.
@0408Bear Looks like you will have a busy couple weeks. Makes the time go by faster and should be fun with all the festivities.
@Squirtgun congratulations again. Hope everything is going well so far.
@Kipperoo I love all your updates! Excited for another May baby!
34 weeks
How big is baby? Butternut squash
Any appointments this week? Started seeing the chiropractor last week and see her again on Thursday
Symptoms?

@SWE2 It wasn't too hard to hold off on finding out...until the last few weeks, when it became unbearable
@Louise_Belcher I hope it works out between your brother and the one that got away!
We're both golfers (that's how we met), so it seemed fitting--and our swings weren't exactly synced, which is why mine looks worse than his
@Squirtgun 10 days old already! Glad to hear an update from you

Ok, be back soon...

@emilyalso - Enjoy the shower!
Thanks everyone for your interest/concern about Thomas .

How big is baby? Butternut sqash
Any appointments this week? Yesterday. They just checked heartbeat and belly measurement.
Symptoms? Heartburn, frequently restroom trips, large appetite, swollen feet and hands
Rants/Raves/Questions? None
GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? If no Easter plans what are your weekend plans? No Easter plans or anything else.
May 2014: DS2 born 40w3d, 10 lb, 23"
Due May 2017 with DD1!
@Squirtgun glad to hear things are going well!

GTKY: Any plans for Easter this weekend? If no Easter plans what are your weekend plans?
DH bday is Friday, he is having a friend down. Sunday we will have a family gathering at my dad's.
Also, just got back from the doctor and had an NST. Got my induction scheduled for next Tuesday at 7am!!! Since I'm high risk, I won't be leaving there until I give birth.
