I'm not sure why it never occurred to me that I could give birth early, but if I go any earlier than May 16th I'm screwed for FMLA.
I'm stressing about finances for my unpaid maternity leave, which we had covered until our Pilot needed repaired.
I'm stressing about newborn photos and if it's even going to be financially feasible to do them. $350 could be better spent elsewhere or put back into maternity leave. Anyone else not doing newborn photos?
I'm a mess.

@FSUNole31 my DH does something similar - he teaches English online to Korean kids in the mornings. It doesn't pay much, but he enjoys it! The time difference makes it difficult to schedule those time slots!
End rant... sorry ladies

Well look there, you all just helped me rationalize why they aren't a smart decision.
Use natural light. Have baby in front of large window and make sure you are situated between baby and the window.
Focus! Just tap your phone screen on the section you want focused - normally the eyes.
Get on baby's level. Kneel or sit down so you are in line with baby. Of course other angles are nice, too.
Make sure baby is warm and happy or sleepy.
You can even try out a simple set up with a stuffed animal to see how it will end up when baby gets here.
If you have any questions I can try to help!
Our disastrous 16+ month house hunt continues and we now have to be out of our rental house May 1st. So we are now potentially moving to an apartment for 3 months while we continue looking through the summer. I havent been able to do anything nursery related this time around and the thought of moving twice this summer and potentially spending my maternity leave in an apartment smaller than our current rental situation with no backyard for our dog makes me antsy. I know it is total first world problems but my stress level is still through the roof. I feel bad for DS1 - feels like I am not being a fun mommy lately with all of this going on and then soon hes going to have the transition of a new place (twice?) and a brother.
I understand that babies need little to nothing at the beginning and we we will be totally fine but it is a disappointment. I feel like I cant nest or get really excited yet.
Thanks to anyone who took the time to read my rambling.

DS #1: 3/8/15Finances are a big concern for us too though. So stressful. I have no paid leave and won't be returning to work due to bedrest for the rest of this pregnancy, or even the foreseeable future because of changing childcare with 2 vs 1. My husband is a grad student and has very little income until he graduates. The "wish list" items for this baby are slowly shrinking.
But then I feel guilty about all that because I know it's helping us out a ton financially (even though we're paying rent, it's far less than we were) and it will be nice to have the help so nearby when we have a newborn.
so no nursery. We also have stuff in storage that I may need if we stay here much longer. It sucks for sure.

I agree with pp. If you can find an up and coming photographer, it's definitely the way to go if you're trying to get pictures done on a budget.

DS #1: 3/8/15@Kylieslip24 sounds like Denver! It is brutal here. The issue mainly being lack of inventory and people continuing to move here. Save that money! We will all get there one day hahaha

DS #1: 3/8/15Otherwise, I just need people at work to STFU and leave me alone. I'm surrounded by morons!
A new car started parking in the spot next to mine in our garage. The spot is perpendicular to mine so their front bumper lines up with my passenger side door. Well they suck at parking and pull in way too close to the line so I can barely get my car in and out. And if I'm in the passenger seat and DH is driving I can barely open the door enough to get out. I'm already struggling with my parking spot because of it's location and columns and my big belly! When I got home yesterday they were over the line and I couldn't park down there. Good thing our complex never enforces parking in the lot and no one ever gets towed. I would have been a pissed off pregnant lady if I had to park on the street!!! I told the property manager about it and she has had to talk to them about parking before. The car that parked there before was always so good at giving our car enough space to get in and out on the passenger side!
I met with my nurse today and she mentioned being induced around 38 weeks... I will be 37 weeks on May 16. It's starting to feel real as that's literally like a month away.
Those new born pictures sound kinda pricey. Can you find something cheaper? I am in Ohio and we can typically find someone to do them around $100. I would definitely do newborn pictures you will have those forever or stage your own❤❤. Try to find some one who will give you rights to the pictures and a disc so you can buy the pictures later on once you get back to work.
Edit: typo
on newborn pics. Im obsessed with a couple photographers in my area but they all charge close to $500 and up. It's insane! But they are amazing. I found someone that isn't quite as experienced but still decent to do them for $150. That is worth it for me. I love newborn pictures. Plus I want some of all 3 kids and a family one too. I tried to take newborn pics for my SIL because I have a nice DSLR but I'm just not very good. They couldn't afford pics so they were happy to have anything and I was happy to try but im a complete amateur for sure!!
The Mr got a TEXT from his boss's business partner yesterday that said dont come in at regular time, they need to talk to the other designer about something first (that guy was on final warning and supposed to be let go shortly after the Mr started working there).
Mr hears nothing all day then today he gets an EMAIL from the partner who says "come in and pick up your last check. We will discuss our next plans when you get here"
um... wtf?! I will discuss no plans with you... you just fired me via email you rat bastards!!!
so... less than 2 months before LO arrives and the Mr is unemployed again. GRRRRRRRRR!!!
It's 30+ minutes from my mom and I hardly see her because it's a pain to get to each other.
I'm ready to give up this big house for a better location and more time with my parents. I don't care if that makes me crazy. I'm miserable out here.
