My son got me with a zinger from DT the other day. The episode about trying new food....the song "you gotta try new food b/c it might taste good", well I sing that to him all the time. The other night he was eating dinner and I was not feeling well at all so I didn't eat. He sung the song to me and force fed me his dinner. It was adorable and infuriating at the same time!
@kissthesky32 That pic for this thread is perfect! I love it!
Mine is the coworker who sent the passive aggressive email this morning about "not sure if you're finally working again"... I took two vacation days for a long weekend! Calm down!
The guys who have been installing our new windows for the last two months are all TWs.
I understand we got all 19 windows and a slider replaced and that it was going to take more than a day to do. I understand that weather happens and I appreciate them delaying the install when it is pouring down rain. I understand it is out of their control when the windows break during delivery so they have to be reordered.
What I don't understand is their boss scheduled them to come back out and finish up today so when he came to the door I was surprised he said he was doing the rest of the windows and slider today since they were never delivered. They went to the store to pick up the windows with their trailer but when they came back they said they could not fit the slider. They came back with two of the four missing windows. I asked if the other two were not in yet and he said he did not remember ordering them. Dude we paid $10,000 almost three months ago to have ALL of these windows and slider done. If they are not done in the next 24 hours I will be calling your boss and demanding some sort of credit or refund.
TW to my bladder! Please give me back some control. I'd rather not pee on myself every time I throw up (which is often). Seriously about to invest in a diaper because normal pads aren't helping.
@MKMandeville - two months?! You have been a lot more patient than I would have been. If everything isn't done today, I would 100% call the boss. That's totally inappropriate.
This morning I got a call from a debt collector SAYING I OWED $500 to a hospital where I grew up. 12 years ago I went to the ER for a broken nose I got at work. Was apparently never filed under worker's comp. I have NEVER received anything about it in the mail and haven't lived in that area in 11 years. So my TW is my old manager that botched my paperwork or just never filed it and is now costing me $$$$ because it's way past the time I could dispute it.
@BayCamp :-o That is so ridiculous. It seems like you could dispute it simply based on the fact that you have never received any notice of it until now. The hospital is also at fault, they can't simply charge you for things years down the line.

@AmberG34 You should ask your OB/MW about this... I have a friend who is pregnant and is getting physical therapy for the same problem so that it won't get worse later in pregnancy or after birth. It would be great if you can get help with it too!

@kissthesky32 yeah. Between weather (we are in MI), having other jobs on the books, needing to reorder windows that were either broken, the wrong size and our bathroom ones were supposed to be frosted it has been about two months (delivery takes about three weeks).
They just left after installing the two windows they went to pick up. Still missing the bathroom windows and slider. Luckily, before I could even tell my husband he texted me telling me the company apologized. I think it was just a voicemail so I will ask him to call them back asking that they be completed by the end of next week. I would say this week but someone needs to be at home while they are here and since my in laws are coming to visit I don't want to miss out on going anywhere fun.
Coworker who is seriously playing up her cold right now. I have basically been in the bathroom throwing up for half my time here today and I'm still sitting at my desk doing what needs to be done. Put on your big girl panties and suck it the eff up, it's a stuffy nose.
Also, TB you are being a TW. Everything is hyper autocorrecting. Trying to type suck it and it autocorrected to seriously effaced... whaaat?!
My TW is an acquaintance from college who named her baby the boy name we have picked out..and we coincidently have the same last name. Obviously she had no way of knowing but still super annoying bc it's so hard to agree on a name!
The TW today was my ultrasound tech! I've been going to the same office forever and I know all of the staff by name. Apparently the tech I saw today was new. She was so douchey. She was so condescending about the actual process. And then my 8 month old was crying while my husband was holding him and wanted me. My husband let him lean over so he could hold onto my arm/shoulder area to me during the ultrasound. And the tech rudely snapped and scoffed, saying, "he can not be on you, this is a medical procedure and I need you to be alone on the exam table." I responded very sternly that he was not on me and that I would however hold my baby if I wanted to and if she was uncomfortable with that, she could find someone else to do the ultrasound. (Note: I'm probably her TW today! Lol oh well, don't mess with a mama bear!)
I'm a TW. DH's stepcousin is also due in November and I'm irrationally annoyed about it. She already has a child and just got engaged to the father this past fall so I assumed she'd be getting married this fall but they decided on baby instead. I'm annoyed because I don't really like her and she's an intense know it all and will be obnoxious about us being pregnant at the same time.
That being said, I'm being a TW. People are entitled to have a baby whenever they want, it is none of my business and I'm not allowed to have an opinion about it.
Totally plan on using still if we have a boy...it's just super annoying bc we have a ton of mutual friends so it's just going to look like I copied her..but oh well!!
@BayCamp :-o That is so ridiculous. It seems like you could dispute it simply based on the fact that you have never received any notice of it until now. The hospital is also at fault, they can't simply charge you for things years down the line.
Technically the hospital is not at fault. They probably sold the debt to the debt collector years ago. It's not the hospital charging her anymore. The debt collection company owns her debt now, which is also why she can't dispute it with insurance.
Still annoying, though! AT&T kept insisting that my husband owed them a fee (a fee which I watched him pay in the store), and since they didn't want to discuss with us how our bank records show he paid the exact amount of the fee the day that he broke his contract, they sold his debt to a debt collector. As a result of that outstanding payment, nobody wanted to give us a home loan. But you can't just call up a debt collector and pay them; you have to wait for them to call you. It's been well over a year. Still no call. So aggravating.
Without going to into boring, job specific details, my TW today is this woman at work who has to do a final review of submissions. I do an internal pre-review (and not to toot my own horn but I'm very good at it). She keeps sending things back with questions that are very clearly already answered in the submission. It is super frustrating and creates so much more work. I am currently stewing over how to handle this in the most politically correct way.
@jess0211 I'm so blunt and direct. I don't have time to sugarcoat or do double work. I actually have plenty of time, but people know I just won't have their BS.
baker1jm2 I feel your pain. Names are such a hard topic for DH and I because we're so completely opposite and the ONE name we agreed on was Samantha for a girl (and we would call her Sam). Well my SIL and BIL got pregnant 5ish months before us and decided they'd name their little boy Samuel and call him Sammy. Now we've approached them to remind them how hard it was for us to agree and that we had decided (and announced) that name two years ago, and asked them if they would be ok if we had a girl, if we still named her Sam. I don't wanna call dibs and be a TW. And really, Samantha and Samuel are completely different names, so what if they have the same/similar nicknames? But I am trying to be respectful and let them have the veto if they really hate it that much. We're team green but I think it's a boy anyway.
