Well this took a turn for sure!!! Looks like all the bleeding didn't mean a miscarriage (yet). Apparently I have a bicornuate uterus. So I have a very high risk for miscarriages. If I don't have a miscarriage I will be high risk for pre term birth and most likely will have to have a c section. As of right now I am measuring 1-2 days ahead but everything with the baby looks good. I probably won't be fully participating around here again, but I will be a little until we know more! I go back on the 21st for another ultrasound.

It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@ktcakes87 Wow! What wonderful news. I know you aren't out of the woods yet, but TODAY you are pregnant. Is there a specialist you can see who deals with this issue and can monitor your pregnancy? From lurking the IF board I think it's not terribly unusual.
@adirat as far as I know there is nothing that can be done for this pregnancy or any future ones and it's just a wait and see what happens situation. She said I will be high risk but I'm not sure if I'll have to see a specialist or not.

@ktcakes87 Because I am your stalker I spent a little time reading about this. Generally it's recommended you see a high risk OB or MFM as they can help with special monitoring and help you get closer to term. I'm not sure where you are but I looked in NYC where I am, and there are some MFMs who specifically list bicornuate uterus as a specialty. Definitely worth talking to your doctor about and seeing if there's a specialist you should see. We are all pulling for you and your cupcake!
@adirat stalk away . Thanks for looking into that. It's just so much for me to take in today. I'll make sure to ask next week at my ultrasound. I had to see a MFM with my last pregnancy (TW- ended in miscarriage, probably because of my dumb shaped uterus).

@ktcakes87 I'm so happy to see this update. Even though you're higher risk, I'm happy you're still in the game with a chance. I'm not sure how much stake you like to put in anecdotes, but I know someone with a unicornuate uterus who delivered a healthy baby. It can happen! All my good thoughts headed your way!
Yay @ktcakes87! A friend of mine has a bicornuate uterus as well, and she's now on her 3rd totally healthy (probably) full term pregnancy! Good luck girl!!
