How big is baby? Romaine lettuce, Swiss chard, 1/2 of a medium pizza, an 80s brick phone
Team Blue, Pink, Green? And name(s)? Team Blue - Samuel Cruz
Appointments this week? Next appt is on 4/19 (if I make it that far, I will be the most pregnant I've ever been).
Symptoms? Tons of pressure on my pelvic bone and some contractions/BH. My lady bits are SUPER swollen.
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? Filled out maternity leave paperwork and selected my final work day (4/14)! I'm pretty much done and ready. DH set up the swing and I set up the pack n play in the living room. We just need to install car seats, but I want DH to clean the cars out really well first. Also, I have a few other cleaning projects that I want to have get done.
Rants/Raves/Questions: One more week of work and I have one more project to set up/finish. So while I can't wait to meet Samuel, he needs to give me one more week. Then, it's game on!
GTKY: What's your favorite Easter candy? Reese's or sweethearts. I'm not a HUGE chocolate fan, but anything fruity, chewy, sour is right up my alley.
How big is baby? Officially the size of a full term baby.
Team Blue, Pink, Green? And name(s)? Pink, Donna Louise.
Appointments this week? My appointment was moved from Tuesday to Monday. I am irrationally annoyed by this. All of my appointments have been on Tuesdays. And I wanted the membrane sweep done on Tuesday. I wanted a full week to see if I would dilate any more on my own. It just annoys me. Oh well.
Symptoms? All of the ones I have been having for months. Oddly enough though the last few nights it actually feels slightly less painful to roll over in bed. It was bringing me to tears before, so I will take it. It is just a little weird.
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? Still settling in, but everything is feeling much more like home now. Still doing little things, but if we brought the baby home tonight we would have everything we really needed. Clothes are washed and ready to go. Crib is made up. Blankets are clean and fluffy. We have diapers and wipes. Nursing supplies is ready. So, we are good for now. Tomorrow we are getting back the baby equipment we leant to SIL. So, we will have the baby swing and the bouncy seat and hopefully a play mat. If any of them are not good anymore we will buy some cheap version tomorrow.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Not much to say, just ready for her now. I did a lot of walking today, at the store, at the zoo, at the park. So I am hoping that might help things out a little. We are really gonna try and sex it up over the next week. If I make it to Thursday I will be more pregnant than I ever have been before.
GTKY: What's your favorite Easter candy? Reese's Eggs... my sister and I were eating a bag today.

How big is baby? 8 lbs 2 Oz! 19 1/2 inches!
Team Blue, Pink, Green? And name(s)? Pink! Miss Margaret Emma Rebecca
Appointments this week? First baby appt should be on Monday. If we can go home tomorrow.
Symptoms? Still having some cramping which is annoying because I can't sleep.
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? I had her! Haha!
Rants/Raves/Questions: I had my beautiful baby girl a week early. I am so in love with her! Funny story though. The doctor was sitting in a chair looking rather bored and yawning. He asked the nurse to check me (I kept feeling like I need to push) she said I was at a 9 or 10 bit she couldn't feel the head so my husband thought he has time to take a real quick poop. (I was kinda pissed but it's funny now) anyway I screamed for him to hurry up the baby was coming! He comes out right as I pushed the head out and then he washes his hands real quick and makes it back just in time to see the rest come out. The doctor wasn't even ready! Lol I hope that made sense. My phone makes it hard to bump mobile.
GTKY: What's your favorite Easter candy? Reese eggs!
How big is baby? Born at 6lbs 13oz at 19.5 inches. As of Friday she was weighing 6lbs 7oz (only lost 1 oz since we left the hospital which is great - was worried I'd have to supplement, but I don't have to).
Team Blue, Pink, Green? And name(s)? Pink - Murphy May
Appointments this week? none
Symptoms? Sore from the c section, but pain is getting better each day. Nipples are a little sore but we are getting the hang of breastfeeding.
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? Had my baby
Rants/Raves/Questions: DSS comes today and I'm trying to figure out what's the best way to breastfeed around him, especially since he's older (11). If he was younger I wouldn't be thinking twice about it, but since he's a little older I'm not quite sure what's appropriate or not. It will be a learning experience for all of is.
GTKY: What's your favorite Easter candy? I don't have a favorite, I love most of it lol. Cadbury eggs, Reese's eggs, the jelly beans. However I cannot stand peeps! Yuck.
@limie what a great birth story @carpediem55 BFing around other people can be a bit intimidating. Especially when they are older SSes. When I had Max I just whipped the goods out and did what I had to do, but the boys were really young. DH asked me to cover up and I told him that I refused to cover up in my own home and that it was a natural thing. This go around, if it's just DS, then I'll just be whipping the goods out again. If my oldest DSS (almost 10) is around, then I might consider going to another room, or throwing a blanket over his face. Just because he is getting to that age where he might be getting uncomfortable. Again, if they were my own bio kids, I'd have no issues and they would just have to deal with it! Have you talked with YH to see what his thoughts/opinions are?
How far along are you? Wyatt is just over a week old.
How big is baby? Feels like he is bigger than birth weight (8 lb 7 oz)
Team Blue, Pink, Green? And name(s)? blue- Wyatt
Appointments this week? 2 week appt on Friday
Symptoms? My pp bleeding has slowed way down, no more cramping. Just tired.
What have you done to survive this week? DH and I are a pretty good team. I feel like we really rocked it this week, but Wyatt is also a pretty easy baby (other than at night).
Rants/Raves/Questions:
We have a full price offer on our house. However, the closing date is 2 weeks earlier than we were hoping for. We are now scrambling to make plans for us to drive 5 hrs to look at houses. This also means I will have to drive up for one day in June to check out of both schools. And we might be homeless for a couple weeks with a 2 month old if we can't get the same closing date in IA when we find a house, so thats awesome.
GTKY: What's your favorite Easter candy? Cadbury mini eggs. I buy a couple bags after Easter when they are on sale and put them in my freezer. Then I get them year round!
@wagnerw I hope all works out with your house hunt but I really wanted to say thank you for the GENIUS idea with the Cadbury mini eggs, I always get sad because you can only get them right now and for some reason I never thought to freeze them!
@KirstinH88 - I expressed my concern with DH and he basically said I gotta do what I gotta do. So far when DSS has been home I've just told him that I'll be feeeding his sister (on the couch) and will let him know when I'm done. And if he walks out that he might see some stuff lol. He understands and it's been ok so far. He's usually in his room playing video games so I'm not really kicking him out of anywhere. However, I feel bad for confining him in his room, so I think I may start nursing in baby girl's room the days he's here. Which is where I plan to do a lot of nursing in the future anyways - it's just more comfortable on the couch right now. I was able to whip it out in front of one of our nieces who is my age and pregnant and not feel totally awkward. It's just going to take some getting used to.
@carpediem55 That's good that DH and your DSS both seem supportive and understanding. I'm also planning on nursing mainly in my room or the nursery, but if we are hanging out downstairs, I won't go all the way upstairs just to nurse. Hopefully you all will find a nice, healthy balance. How often do you guys have your DSS?
@KirstinH88 we only have him about 3 days of the week, and some of those days he's at school so I will only have to worry about it in the evening. It's not too much of a sacrifice for me to go in the nursery to nurse. Yea, I agree with you - I wouldn't go all the way upstairs to nurse either. Thankfully we have a one story house.
