Everyone's rings are sooooo beautiful! I actually rarely wear my engagement ring, but I wear my wedding band every day. Nothing special, just a band of little diamonds that go all the way around. When I want to feel fancy, I wear the set.
Love this thread! Also loving all the sapphires and detailed settings. @jena333-2 those emerald cut sapphires are killer.
Here's mine... team yellow gold 4 lyfe (except I couldn't get DH on board with a yellow gold ring for him). I picked out the engagement ring setting and DH picked the stone. Not sure if anyone else went ring shopping with their DH but I found it to be incredibly awkward... like here let me share my strong opinions about expensive jewelry that I am not paying for. Luckily we only went to one place and I loved it!
My husband took me ring shopping to get an idea of what I liked - then he went off on his own and made his own design with a jeweler friend. It's not what I picked out, but I can't imagine wearing anything else! *It breaks my heart that my fingers are already too swollen to wear it the rest of this pregnancy *
Here is mine. I'm in love! I gave DH several options but this one was my favorite, and thankfully he picked up on several of the hints. I want to eventually get another band to match my wedding band to go on the other side. Maybe a "Thanks for pushing the baby out gift?"
DH picked mine out after I showed him a few rings on websites. We were also in college and super poor, so I made him promise not to spend much. I've also never been a fan of rings and was worried I wouldn't be able to get used to wearing a ring. I absolutely love my ring and after a couple years got used to wearing it everyday!

DH still has the same ring. Unfortunately, my original diamond, which had been DH's grandmother's, was lost a few years ago- I went to the grocery store, and when I came home it was gone. I've been wearing a birthstone ring, which I also lost just before my BFP. We're eventually going to get me a new set, hopefully with an emerald cut diamond, because those are my favorites. Until then, I have a friend who makes gorgeous jewelry from raw cut gem stones, and I'm going to commission her to make two stackable rings, one with the gem stone for July, our anniversary month, and one with the gemstone for September, for obvious reasons. They'll look something like this:

I had picked out the engagement ring in the store, which I had done with others before when we browsed occasionally over the 2 years, so I was definitely surprised when he proposed a few weeks later at my family's Thanksgiving. We picked out the band separately, but I just wanted something simple that matched. My fingers are definitely getting more swollen with this pregnancy!
I love all the rings! And I love all the stories and how they just fit with personalities. DH and I looked at one store so he could get an idea, then he went back and picked this one out. It's funny because when we were shopping for bands, we found one in a totally different store that pretty much matched! He didn't really care about his, so it's just a silver band.

hahahaha I'm not big on jewelry....I wear a ring that i bought for $9 3 years after we got married, prior to that I chose not to wear a ring at all I haven't been wearing it recently bc i lost too much weight and now it's loose and slides all over the place so I can't take a picture of it
