yall my TW today is the damn transmission shop. We payed 2 grand to have our transmission rebuilt three weeks ago. We got it back and he was talking about how great it was and it was gonna be the best damn transmission out there. We have had nothing but trouble with it since getting it back. This is the 3rd time I have taken it back up there. I need my truck fixed! we are going on vacation this weekend.
@MaximumEffort you're right that there are a couple I feel "belong" to others, like TTGP Check-In but most of the weekly threads are up for grabs I usually pick ones I think are fun like UO Thursdays and FFFC which I'll start if no one else has but anyone can start them! I don't like to do more than one a day though. Maybe that's already too many
Personally I have never had the search function actually work, so depending on what my question is, I'll start a new thread. Mostly however, I read the weekly threads (UO, FFFC, etc) and post if I have something or if someone posts a question that I feel I can help with. Unfortunately, that makes me mostly a lurker, and some people (no one here, previous boards mostly) feel that if you don't post 500 times a day you aren't "trying". IMHO if I don't have anything meaningful to contribute to a thread, I shouldn't contribute.
Speaking of starting new threads or not... has there been any sort of doula pro/con debate I might've missed? I kinda feel like that deserves a thread.
Also, my box of ice cream cones is a TW. Where are the chocolate fudge and caramel filled cones? Why is there only vanilla? Do I look like a freaking heathen?!
My TW is all this crappy weather we been getting! We have had so much snow this winter and it feel a like it's never going to let up. We had a blizzard a few weeks ago, 8 inches last week, snow this morning that Turned to rain and will likely be ice by the time I leave work, and more snow on the forecast for tomorrow. I am done with the cold, and ready for some green grass!
Yes @ArtificialRed and @DuchessOfCambridge, I agree with the idea of starting a pro/con doula thread. Even though I'm a STM I have absolutely no experience or knowledge about doulas.
My TW is my insurance. OB called in a prescription for diclegis. Got a message from pharmacy there was a problem with insurance. It's right next to DHs work so he went there to see what was up. They said they needed to talk to the doctor because insurance declined, saying diclegis was "not usually prescribed for nausea" (WTF?!?!?!) and they needed to talk to the OB and run it by insurance again and said they would probably have it sorted in a week. DH got super pissed since they already sent me to the hospital today for IV fluids and he's sweet and worried and so he paid for it OOP and told them to get it sorted. We had this filled last pregnancy without issue. No idea what is going on.
Right?!?!? Apparently the pharmacist was super nice about it all and didn't understand it either. I have a feeling DH sort of vented on them a little. He was still pretty upset when he called me to tell me what was going on.
A realtor was supposed to show our apartment tonight at 7 and never showed up. Would be great to know so we can, you know, shower, make dinner, etc without worrying about people walking in on us. She's a TW.
My TW is whoever was in charge of the event tonight that my DH got called into last minute. He's an event coordinator at a museum and has done many events with this insurance company but this time no one had confirmed with him the even tonight or paid so why would he think it was still on? Instead we were driving to go shop for dress shirts and spend time together when the caterer showed up at his job. Thanks for the inconvenience. If he knew the event was on he wouldn't have gone in so early today.
Had a meeting with children aid worker today regarding our foster child. Have many issues to discuss because 1.we have only had her 2 months . 2. Our original worker changed jobs so now we have a new one. 3. A bunch of other boring personal shit. HE DIDN'T SHOW UP. He didn't just not show up. No no, after hauling my pregnant ass downtown during rush hour with a 1.5 year old they had me sit in a waiting room for 45 minutes. When I asked they kept saying soon when finally they admitted that they HADN'T MANAGED TO GET A HOLD OF HIM YET and it seems like he's NOT EVEN IN THE OFFICE TODAY. Are you joking me? THEN to top it off? I left him a message on his work phone asking him to phone me and reschedule and he didn't call me back. Even though the receptionist told me that he finally showed up to the office ( we are on good terms because I have meetings there twice a week). Like are you serious. Let's just make things a tiny bit worse, HE'S THE SUPERVISER.he is also a TW . Ugh
My TW is teething. My 19 month old has been cutting the same freaking molar for days. We've had LOTS of tears on top of the usual tantrums. I. Just. Can't. Toddler. Anymore. I miss wine.
