CD/DPO of first BFP?How many months/cycles had you been TTGP?
What did your chart look like? What were you doing TGKU?
How was your timing? What symptoms did you have, if any (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)? How are you going to/did you tell your partner?Anything else to add?
Re: TTGP Grads - Week of April 3
CD/DPO of first BFP? 29/12 (This was a blood test because my first test on DPO 11 was read as negative by my nurse in the ER, but I asked to be tested again because there was a second blue line after the time window ran out. I could not unsee the line).
How many months/cycles had you been TTGP? 4 months - since December
What did your chart look like? Post-O looked pretty promising and I was eager to test on Monday/today. I also had a severe kidney infection so higher temps could also be attributed to the infection.
What were you doing TGKU? charting/temping, pnv, green tea; this month I added evening primrose oil and preseed to the routine as well.
How was your timing? -4, -2, -1, 0
What symptoms did you have, if any (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)? The most noticeable symptom since CD 10 is weepiness. I was really embarrassed to burst into tears multiple times at the hospital for both small and big reasons. When the negative test was read to me I couldn't stop myself and normally I could have handled waiting for a moment alone but I just couldn't. I cried a few times at commercials (ASPCA) that I've seen many times but couldn't stop. I had slight breast tenderness DPO 8-11 as well.
How are you going to/did you tell your partner?
This part was interesting. After they read my negative test on Friday and I had a minute to call him, he said he was disappointed but that we would just try again next cycle, no worries, chin up. About 45 minutes to an hour later while setting down another urine sample in the ER room, I saw the test and I saw the faint line. I freaked out a little bit but he's so level-headed he just told me to push for another test the next day. He was supportive but doubtful I think, just like I was. I had my blood drawn on Saturday morning at 10AM and while being briefed about anesthesia in the OR pre-op area, my urologist down the hall says loudly, "It's positive? Really? Wow." And then he came to my room and casually delivered the news to my face. 3 minutes later I was wheeled into the OR and was congratulated by a team of nurses and staff and they were sweet and reassuring. I was pretty shocked and scared.
I played a 5-second April Fool's joke on hubs (maybe the anesthesia talking?) after being wheeled back to my room by telling him the results were negative. But then I immediately said April Fool's and we (gently) hugged and I cried for a few minutes before being interrupted by my doting medical staff. It's been a whirlwind of days between fear with my medical issues (I'm being discharged today! Yay!) and joy over the news that was initially so sad to receive.
Anything else to add? Just that you ladies are a great community and I've really grown in knowledge and appreciated your humor on the good days and support on the rough days. You are good people and I know I'll be lurking and rooting for everyone here! Thank you all for everything and best wishes for those bfp's and rainbow babies
