My 5 year old was invited to 2 birthday parties this weekend and it was also my FIL's birthday. I've been driving all over to get her to all these parties, but that's what I get by living an hour from her school.
@Xath that is the bunk we are getting our boys! The way the room is configured we can't fit a second because of baseboard heating and windows so DD who is in 10th percentile for height is getting a hand me down toddler bed. Since we have 2 crib mattresses it's not extra $ for us to use the toddler bed, we were going to keep her in her crib with the side off but felt like the tradition might be better if everyone got "new" beds. We figure by the time new baby is big enough to transition we will give the girls the Kura and graduate the boys to a real bunk. My younger ones can both climb the ladder on the kura already because they are monkey's so I'm interested to see if they all just end up in the top bunk every night.
Have you seen the double-stacked Kuras? I'm tempted to try it when the boys are older because our ceilings are super high. I think my regular loft in college was about that tall.
DS said we can't have a third kid or we'd have to move. I can't wait to show him this, hahaaaa!
We had something similar growing up for our cabin. My nephews think its the coolest thing.
It's officially the start of Spring Break over here which means lots of family time and not lots of Bump time. Just hanging out with DH and the kids and sneaking on when I can. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
@xath I have seen that configuration. We love these 2 as well.
If we stopped at 3 and DH has said maybe we should just convert the basement into a huge bedroom instead of our plans for an in-law suite and family room
DH got home after being out of town for a couple of weeks the kids were pretty excited to have him home. Today we had some pretty nasty storms and after they were over I went Easter shopping for the boys, it was a pretty laid back weekend here.
@BusyZee Those pants are really cute, but my jcpenny doesn't have a maternity section, and I didn't have time for shipping. Thanks for the tip, though! I had forgotten about JCP-their online stuff looks cute!
