GTKY: What's the next project you're working on in your house/apt or what other type of project do you have lined up (hobby, renovation, organization, etc.)?
R/R: it's FW so we should probably start GDTPT! We're both just really tired.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What's the next project you're working on in your house/apt or what other type of project do you have lined up (hobby, renovation, organization, etc.)? we are going to finish our basement. My FIL is coming in May to frame everything. He basically told us he could do it all, except for the electrical, but it would have to be done in sections. He doesn't live by us so he has to fly in for a week or so each time.
Me: 31 DH: 32 Dating since: 11/17/2001 Married: 9/26/2009 TTC: June 2016
WAYDTGKU: All the things. Going to try to call to schedule my HSG today and see how far I get with that. There could be up to a 3 month wait.
R/R: So I get home from my cousins last night at like 10:30 and I walk in and my house feels cold. I look at our thermostat and it's 10 degrees (50F) in the house. So I ask H "didn't you notice its cold in here?" "Yeah but I put on a sweater." Long story short - my furnace is broken, has been broken for a while and Instead of trying to fix it, H put on a sweater. Also, I may be grumpy.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What's the next project you're working on in your house/apt or what other type of project do you have lined up (hobby, renovation, organization, etc.)?
I want to put a window in our second bedroom/not legally a bedroom because it has no window. But I need to find a reputable contractor first.
WAYDTGKU: PNV, OPKs, temping, checking CM and CP, naughty things
R/R: Rant: Still waiting for O. OPK may have been slightly getting darker this morning. Ugh. Also the roofing guy called me yesterday and said he's only working until noon and could he come now. They told us he'd come at 4pm. I told him "dude I'm at work!" He's coming today at 4.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What's the next project you're working on in your house/apt or what other type of project do you have lined up (hobby, renovation, organization, etc.)? Fixing the roof and hopefully finishing the baby's room.
@BertieMeetsGertie That's awesome that your FIL can help (for free I assume)! @Dilynne That's crappy about your furnace. Good thing it's spring now!

R/R: I have a lot to do today and I
want to do all of none of it at the moment. Hopefully I can muster some
motivation later today.
CS/Q: Nope just hoping I don’t miss
LH surge on OPKs. CM and CP point to O in the next few days but OPKs still neg.
GTKY: What's the next project you're
working on in your house/apt or what other type of project do you have lined up
(hobby, renovation, organization, etc.)? Right now we just need to get things
organized. We have a 4-bedroom house and the only bedroom that is put together
is our master. So much clutter! My goal is to get one of the rooms completely
cleared out so it’s ready for whenever we get KU but DH and I have different
ideas of how things get arranged.
@bertiemeetsgertie – I would love to
finish our basement eventually (so creepy down there). When I lived in Colorado
in high school my parents finished their basement and it was awesome (bar,
theater room, sauna, office, etc)! I’d love to just make mine less creepy.
@Dilynne ugh. Sorry about the furnace. We had to replace our whole HVAC last month. I feel your pain, girl. GL with the getting the HSG scheduled.
@justkeepswimming8 thankfully ours isn't creepy, but it's a little over 600 sq ft that could be additional living space. Hopefully a playroom for our future kiddos! We aren't doing anything fancy down there right now. Basically I just want walks, a floor, and a ceiling for now!
WAYDTGKU: PNVs, Extra folic acid, Monitoring CM, OPKs, eating whole pinepple after O
R/R: Wish my cycles were shorter so this could be my fertile week. I hate the waiting game. Hoping my cycles will start to shorten as I get healthier. But for now I'll just be sitting here waiting like...
CS/Q: Does anyone have random ovary pain? When I was an-o and spotting I had recurring pain on my left ovary. I assumed I had a cyst. I had an ultrasound done and they found that everything was normal. Now I am starting to feel that same pain again. I am trying to ignore it but it's worrying me because last time I felt this pain my cycle was all sorts of messed up. Just wondering if anyone has any idea what it could be?
GTKY: What's the next project you're working on in your house/apt or what other type of project do you have lined up (hobby, renovation, organization, etc.)? Complete Kitchen Remodel! We need to bust a wall down and everything. Looking forward to it but not looking forward to how pricey it's going to be.
@bertiemeetsgertie- Yay for fertile week! Time to wake up! Also, good luck reno-ing your basement. Thats on our list too.
@Dilynne- That sounds like something my H would do. Good luck getting the furnace fixed!
@BertieMeetsGertie That is awesome that your FIL will do all of the work to finish your basement!
@Dilynne Ugh, sorry about the furnace. What the heck H, that is not exactly a slight chill! Good luck scheduling your HSG, hopefully you can get in quickly!
@starla! FX for O soon!!Month/Cycle: 10/12
CD: 1
WAYDTGKU: Right now, just trying to keep myself sane
R/R: As much as it sucks to be at this point, I am trying to look on the bright side of things. I am actually anxiously awaiting my gyno appointment next month, because at least now I can feel like I am actually taking a next step rather than just sitting around and waiting. I am going into this cycle telling myself that in the end I can either be KU or I can be on my way to getting some answers and figuring out WTF is going on.
CS/Q: --
GTKY: What's the next project you're working on in your house/apt or what other type of project do you have lined up (hobby, renovation, organization, etc.)? DH likes to do any renovations himself, and he always needs to be doing something, so there is always some kind of project going on around our house. Next up he wants to expand our shed so that we can move some stuff out of the garage (you know, so we can actually put two cars in our two car garage, crazy...) and then we may finally start our kitchen remodel. The kitchen is actually the last of our big projects, and I am excited to get it going!
@LaurenEG14 Yes! I have that pain too on my right side. I mentioned it to my OBGYN but she didn't seem concerned (I didn't get any ultrasound) but I haven't felt it the last few weeks. It was worse during O, so I thought cyst too. I'm going to ask to get it checked when I go back next month (unless it comes back full force before then)
@Dilynne hopefully you can get your hsg scheduled quickly!! Sorry about your furnace!
@justkeepswimming8 hope your motivation rises and that you didn't miss your LH surge
@starla glad you stuck your ground! I hate when that happens but when you actually want them to come earlier you're waiting all day! Ugh!

R/R: forgot we were having someone come over to the house this afternoon so I scrambled this morning to straighten up... The house looks decent so it should be good. on that thought, one more rave... I am usually really bad about allowing things to accumulate on flat surfaces like the dining room table, kitchen counter and credenza... well I have been making it my monthly goal to clean one of these areas off at a time and then keep them clean. So far so good, the kitchen and dining room have been clean and next month I will tackle the credenza!
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: What's the next project you're working on in your house/apt or what other type of project do you have lined up (hobby, renovation, organization, etc.)? ohhh our list is long... the back deck needs some TLC with boards being replaced, the floors in the bedrooms need to be refinished, we need to replace the basement wall where it came down when we had foundation work, repainting our bedroom and I'd love to add a front deck. Oh and the big long term dream is to expand our garage and reside the house.... of all these projects probably painting the bedroom will be first, then the basement wall, then the back deck...
@dilynne I think you have the right to be grumpy. Sorry about the heater and being back here @starla hopefully things will happen soon! I hate when contractors try to change times.... @laurenEg14 sorry I'm not much help

CS/Q: I had a super shitty TTC week last week, and I do have a question, but I'm not sure if it requires a TW so I'm going to use one, and I'm even going to try to spoiler box it because I don't want to be banished from the island and I need to tell someone and get some insight on this. TW**
Last week Wed 9dpo, I broke down and tested. We had crappy timing (-4) so I wasn't even going to bother. It was negative. Next day 10dpo, I tested again that afternoon. It was positive. Not a squinter, within the time limit. DH was not home so no one knew. A couple hours later it got the best of me and I tested again. They were negative, stark negative. I thought maybe due to only a couple hours and drinking water, etc. Still believed the positive test because there are no false positives, right?? Next morning, 11dpo, stark negative with FMU. Every other test was stark negative. Then I ran out of tests, so I decided to wait it out since AF was due on Sunday. Well, AF came right on schedule. So WTF was the deal with the positive test? I'm starting to think I did get a fluke false positive, faulty test?? Would a chemical pg come and go that quickly? Whatever happened, I wish I had never seen the positive. Totally messed with my mind and made for a super crappy weekend when I ended up hitting cycle 10.

What's the next project you're working on in your house/apt or what

@Dilynne Ugh HVAC problems aren't like the worst. Im sorry. At least it's spring! @BertieMeetsGertie We did our downstairs space last year. It's about 600 square feet also. We added a living room/future bedroom, a walk in closet (mine) and a huge spa bathroom with a steam shower, deep soaking tub and huge vanity. We call it my apartment lol. Ugh best thing ever. Do it! @RVAmom315 haha your description of your front yard made me laugh @justkeepswimming8 Oh god I love organization projects. @Pinky917 Good attitude - that's. A great way to look at it. And hell yes to having a husband who can do remodel jobs for you. That must save you a ton of money. Same goes for @beachbunnyxo123! Lucky! @wabash15 Girl, you've got some THINGS to do. Omg, we always have a remodel going on. We just finished our upstairs bathroom last month. The only thing left is to redo the front of the house. New paint and siding ugh I don't want to do it at all, but it's got to be done at some point.
@BertieMeetsGertie Wow! That's really nice of your FIL to fly out to help!
@Dilynne I'd say you're totally justified at being grumpy after that! Sounds like something mine would do too though. And I just saw your update on the HSG - that's awesome you got in so quickly!
@RVAmom315 Enjoy the day off! Do you have anything exciting planned?
@starla! (Does that tag work? The exclamation mark doesn't show as linked...) Ugh - I hate when people think that you just have a wide open schedule and change times on you

For the love of God, why is there still a line on HPTs?
No idea if or when I or AF will be, and tomorrow I'm off to visit my MIL before my next conference. So pretty much benched anyways. On top of that, now MAIL is annoyed that my conference starts on Saturday, and my SIL and niece are flying in Friday night to see me. I emailed SIL my flight information and the dates of the conference, and she either assumed I could just skip the conference I'm traveling across the country for, or messed up the info I gave her. And now MAIL is saying "Well, if we had known, SIL would have come on Thursday." I thought that was the plan, but now I'm the bad person for having to work all weekend...
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: we have quite a few plans yet. Big ones will wait a while until we save up for them (new carpeting throughout, and granite countertops in kitchen). We do want to do some work in the backyard to move granite stones surrounding the lawn to the front yard to fill doors and then do either a water feature in the corner or make some raised planters for a garden. We also have one bedroom yet to paint, since it has ugly dark brown stripes. And still need to get some seating for the formal living room and maybe a patio table and chairs.

@BertieMeetsGertie, that's exciting that you're getting progress done on the basement. My dad did the framing in their basement, then it say there for probably 10-15 years until they finally decided to hire someone to finish it all. If course that was after I went to college, so I didn't get to really take advantage of their new space, lol.
@Dilynne, glad you got in soon! I have an appointment a week later to discuss testing options too. How you get some good news and answers! Also, sorry to hear about the furnace. I'd be pissed too!
@beachbunnyxo123, we recently did your laminate flooring (wanted hardwood, but apparently here in the desert it's too dry), and it wasn't too bad. I'm sure YH has way more expertise than us. I don't envy having to take up the tile though!
@wabash15, I do the same thing with letting stuff accumulate on flat surfaces. It's such a battle.
@alysapuggles, I'm so sorry! I would think that it was probably real, but you'll probably never know for sure. Hugs!

GTKY: What's the next project you're working on in your house/apt or what other type of project do you have lined up (hobby, renovation, organization, etc.)? Moving, if that counts as a project? We are going to have to be painting and getting our new place all homey.
@icecubeinthedesert sorry you're having to deal with the miscommunication! that sounds very frustrating to deal with. @BreezyBee Ugh super jealous of the short work day. @alysapuggles I'm so sorry for the false BFP. I don't know enough about CP to answer your question, but I do understand the sadness of seeing a BFP turn into a BFN...
@alysapuggles I'm so sorry about the mindF*** my only guess is that a body normally has some level of HCG running around in the system and for what ever reason it was slightly higher and maybe that test was slightly more sensitive than usual. @BertieMeetsGertie we ended up having a crack in our foundation with a very small amount of water leaking in. we thought it would be a smaller fix with just having to seal the wall but it turns out the wall was leaning and the crack was bigger than we thought so we had to have these plates installed to straighten the wall, a sump pump and then a water barrier added. Our basement is finished so the drywall all had to come down and we need to put something back up but we need to be able to access the plates that straighten the wall so I think we are going to put shiplap in so that we can have removable panels and not have it be unsightly...

Although I'm not too awfully upset about it because that means I can get back to doing ALL the things sooner. Also, I talked to someone from the REs office yesterday. They did not find anything in the MRI, which is a good thing. If they had found something, they would have needed to resolve it another way. Not sure how to feel, on one hand I'm happy because my super early O's were not a great sign, on the other hand I'm worried that maybe I'll just start having an-o cycles now. @dilynne That sucks about your furnace! My old house was really close to the water and didn't have a basement, so the furnace was housed outside in a little attached shed thing. So many times in the dead of winter the lines would freeze and we would wake up shivering!

@pinky917 Sorry about CD1, but good for you for being proactive with scheduling medical visits! I hope you get some answers. I'm on mobile and it's so hard to respond to everyone. I read all the posts and love titted them all.
The roof guy just showed up. DH is pissed because he left work an hour early and the guy is 1.5 late. I had bad phrasing before - I couldn't get to to show up yesterday when they were supposed to. One day later isn't bad especially because it's not raining.
I tried to change my sn on The Knot and it said it was taken (Yeah by me!) so input the "!" after it. It doesn't look taggable so I might need to change it to something else.

So I ask H "didn't you notice its cold in here?" "Yeah but I put on a sweater." Long story short - my furnace is broken, has been broken for a while and Instead of trying to fix it, H put on a sweater. Also, I may be grumpy.

GTKY: What's the next project you're working on in your house/apt or what other type of project do you have lined up (hobby, renovation, organization, etc.)? Right now we just need to get things organized. We have a 4-bedroom house and the only bedroom that is put together is our master. So much clutter! My goal is to get one of the rooms completely cleared out so it’s ready for whenever we get KU but DH and I have different ideas of how things get arranged.
@bertiemeetsgertie – I would love to finish our basement eventually (so creepy down there). When I lived in Colorado in high school my parents finished their basement and it was awesome (bar, theater room, sauna, office, etc)! I’d love to just make mine less creepy.

Next up he wants to expand our shed so that we can move some stuff out of the garage (you know, so we can actually put two cars in our two car garage, crazy...) and then we may finally start our kitchen remodel. DH and I sold our house last year and are currently renting, so we are enjoying the benefit of NOT having to do any upgrades or renovations, haha.
@dilynne That sucks about your furnace! My old house was really close to the water and didn't have a basement, so the furnace was housed outside in a little attached shed thing. So many times in the dead of winter the lines would freeze and we would wake up shivering!
@laurenEG14 I will join you in the "impatiently waiting for O" camp!
@pinky917 Sorry about CD1, but good for you for being proactive with scheduling medical visits! I hope you get some answers. I've really just kept my head in the sand regarding my own possible need for medical intervention...due to my age, it's recommended to see a doctor after 6 unsuccessful months, but I just can't bring myself to take that next step yet :-/
@Alysapuggles No insight, but *hugs*...that must have been really hard, I think it would have crushed me!
@shortstack930 I LOVE Downton! My husband has been watching this show called "Legion" and it stars Matthew Crawley in a completely opposite role than his character on Downton and I can't get past it, haha. He will always be Matthew Crawley to me!

@Pinky917 Sorry for CD1.
@darkrose88 Sorry for CD1 and your great aunt. All the hugs.
@wabash15 That's quite the list! Hope you can at least tackle the painting soon.
