This thread is for August moms who have previously suffered a loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, etc).
I think we can kind of skip the intros by now, but do so I feel you'd like!

GTKY: What thing(s) do you fear, concerning delivery. I figured talking about them may help, plus there's second+ time mom's who can share experiences.

How far along are you?
Almost 22 weeks.
How are you doing?
Good. My nausea I still definitely better when I get lots of sleep. Exhaustion is my enemy!
When is your next appointment?
Tomorrow!
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I've started tracking my food today. I've just been giving into way too many sweets and eating because the food I still there bs actually being hungry. I can already tell a difference today! I'm not planning to restrict calories or anything, but being aware of what I'm eating and when I'm eating really helps me.

I honestly don't have any absolute fears. I fully trust my OB and his team, so I feel pretty comfortable in their hands. I'm planning to try for a VBA2C, so uterine rupture is of course a concern, but I also feel like my OB can handle that. My biggest issue will be staying patient while I wait for labor to (hopefully) start on it's own.

How are you doing? pretty good. Now that my family knows the sex, I feel like things are getting super real. Anxiety is still there every once in a while, but the doppler, and the fact that this little guy likes to move helps. I didn't feel him almost all weekend, so the doppler was helpful for that.
When is your next appointment? Not until the end of April! I think after that one they will start going bi-monthly.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Holy hungry! Up until now, I didnt have much of an appetite, but suddenly this weekend, I have wanted to eat everything! I dont mind that, but I really want to keep control of my weight and this constant eating isnt going to help that.
GTKY: What thing(s) do you fear, concerning delivery. I figured talking about them may help, plus there's second+ time mom's who can share experiences. I dont know that Im fearful of delivery, becuase I have the idea that baby must come out, so I have no real choice. But I have refused to read the labor and delivery section of what to expect, mainly becuase I know they talk about a lot of things that can go wrong, and I am not ready to read that.

How are you doing?
Pretty good. Had my Anatomy Scan last week, and that went well. My PGAL brain is acting up again, though. I get nervous when I feel like the baby hasn't moved in a while. For a few days, she was kicking like crazy, and lately, not as much. I know that they sleep a lot, and my placenta is on the right front, so it's probably just masked, but you how it goes...SIGH
When is your next appointment?
In a month or so.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Nothing at the moment.
GTKY: What thing(s) do you fear, concerning delivery. I figured talking about them may help, plus there's second+ time mom's who can share experiences.
No concerns, yet, but I have a feeling that I don't know enough to be afraid.
How are you doing? Good good. Exhausted! And feeling large, but overall good!
When is your next appointment? Thursday for the anatomy scan!!
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm just so excited for the appt this week! I had to move it back a day so DH can make it but it'll be worth it to see this munchkin with him!
GTKY: What thing(s) do you fear, concerning delivery. I figured talking about them may help, plus there's second+ time mom's who can share experiences. I'm with @littlebug2010 that I know this baby has to come out so I'm trusting my doctors. But I have noticed that other people will more often tell you their stories if they've had terrible experiences and I'm like "please stop." Haha
I am dreading all of the stories, that I know people are going to start telling me the further along I get.

No one has tried to share any stories with me. Honestly, I'd rather know all the horror stories. I feel way more prepared that way. Nothing is as scary to me as the unknown.

Feeling good
When is your next appointment?
AS & Doctor appointment is April 14th
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I am getting excited about my AS in a few weeks. Still feeling bummed I haven't really felt the baby move. Thank God for the doppler.
GTKY: What thing(s) do you fear, concerning delivery. I figured talking about them may help, plus there's second+ time mom's who can share experiences.
**TW** ROUGH DELIVERY** My first delivery did not go as planned. I had planned on an all natural birth and prepared for months. After being a week past due, I was induced. From 7 am to 5 pm I labored, and I was in active labor from about 5pm - 11 pm. My LO's heart rate kept dropping and I would have to sit in recovery position. Eventually, I developed a fever and my heart rate kept elevating. After antibiotics, extra fluids to help the baby drop, and a lot of pushing, I ended up in an emergency c-section at about 1130 PM. I cried. A lot. Because of my fever, LO was taken to NICU. It was really hard to hug him, and then have him sent off (with my hubby.) We were both healthy in the end, but it was rough. We didn't get back to the room till 4 am.
I am trying for a VBAC this time, which has me worried. Just the fear of everything happening again is in my mind. I felt prepared for delivery last time, and I still had so much go wrong. I hate the unknown (I am a planner.)
How are you feeling? Don't want to jinx it, but good!
When is your next appointment? Just had my anatomy scan this morning! They scheduled it the earliest week they could given my history.
Rants/Raves/Positive vibes- My anatomy scan went well. Everything looked good and they got all the measurements they needed, even with baby being a non-stop wiggle worm. The dr did say there was a blood clot at the end of the placenta, but wasn't concerned about it given the location. Still wants to follow up in a month just to make sure it hasn't changed.
GTKY- What things do you fear concerning delivery? Can't really say yet. I'm sure as I get closer to it I'll have a million fears/what ifs.
How far along are you?
Almost 19 weeks
How are you doing?
I caught a cold last weekend so definitely not feeling so great. My sinuses are about to explode
When is your next appointment?
Friday for the anatomy scan!! I'm so nervous and excited at the same time
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
We took DD to see beauty and the beast yesterday and she actually sat through it and really liked it! I just thought it was so-so but I'm glad she's finally old enough to take to a movie and feel like it's worth the $
GTKY: What thing(s) do you fear, concerning delivery. I figured talking about them may help, plus there's second+ time mom's who can share experiences.
I had a really rough delivery with DD too that ended up in an emergency c section and her in the nicu. I feel like our birth stories are very similar @Kudlica27.
This time I'm opting for a scheduled c section so I'm just nervous about all the normal c section stuff even though I've been through it before.
The one thing i wish I could change about last time is I wish I never would have gotten induced.
My sister had a complicated delivery and my mom had super easy ones! Hopefully I'm more like my mom!

How are you doing?
Finally feeling the baby move (took awayyyyy longer this time due to a stupid anterior placenta)
When is your next appointment?

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I swear hip pain is 100 times worse than before. And way sooner this time around
GTKY: What thing(s) do you fear, concerning delivery. I figured talking about them may help, plus there's second+ time mom's who can share experiences.
after 3.5 hours of pushing, I had to have an emergency csection. So while I'd love a VBAC I fear the same will happen again. So I think we have decided on repeat csection

How are you doing?
I'm feeling pretty good except for the insomnia. I don't have issues falling asleep, but I'm up for hours in the middle of the night. I wish I slept better so I didn't wake up exhausted.
When is your next appointment?
Anatomy scan in 1 week.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I haven't been feeling as much movement recently, which I know can happen at this stage, but it still made me a little nervous. I actually started feeling quite a bit of movement for the past hour so that made me feel better. I just wish it wasn't at 2 a.m.
GTKY: What thing(s) do you fear, concerning delivery. I figured talking about them may help, plus there's second+ time mom's who can share experiences.
We don't have family too close by so I worry about going into labor at night and having to figure out how to manage that and childcare. This will be my third c-section and hopefully the first scheduled one. I worry about the surgery and the recovery although my second one was an easier recovery.
I think we can kind of skip the intros by now, but do so I feel you'd like!

I'm EXHAUSTED and my hips hurt :'(
When is your next appointment?
prenatal 4/5
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I feel like my patience this week has been nonexistent. Feeling kinda bad for my kiddos but at the same time are they bananas because it's almost spring break or what? Insomnia isn't helping my mood. Come on spring break!
GTKY: What thing(s) do you fear, concerning delivery. I figured talking about them may help, plus there's second+ time mom's who can share experiences.
My only concern right now is that I'll be switching doctors/hospitals when we move in June so I'm just nervous about finding someone I mesh with well so close to delivery day.
In response to everyone talking about baby movements I feel like it's really hit or miss. If I'm not sitting and totally focusing I could go days without feeling anything. Like you said I know they do lots of sleeping right now but whew sometimes you just wanna be like HEY IN THERE! Knock and let me know you're all good!
