I love scrapbooking, reading, watching movies and putting puzzles together for "me time". I don't have anything specific I like to do with others. Hanging out and shopping? I'm usually up for whatever
I like sewing and crocheting. I've made DD some pretty cute dresses. And I've crocheted blankets and hats. Nothing fancy, just stuff for friends and family.
I like to color (even before it was trendy) and dabble in small DIY projects I find on Pinterest. I've been teaching myself how to sew and crochet without too much success, but it's fun keeping my hands busy. I read a lot. Mostly stupid mindless books, but I enjoy reading quite a bit.

That's awesome! My mom and grandma used to crochet all the time and I tried for about a week and gave it up. My mom used to crochet dresses for these dolls that she would spend months on and they were quite beautiful. I think it's always meaningful having a handmade gift as well.

Are we the same person?? Everything you listed is me to a T. Although with others we love a good game of Mexican train dominos or poker! But alas you are a much sweeter person than I so I realize we are not the same person, but we do have the same hobbies! But I will say I haven't read/scrapbooked/puzzled since DS was born. Just no time! I even have a special scrap book for DS that I need to do but try scrap booking with a toddler!
@lap018! I haven't played dominoes in years, but I loved it. DH and I will play board games together. I'm usually always down for a board game or card game.

Right now, I have abandoned my hobby! I've always loved trying out new things in baking. I used to make cakes, then I started trying out decorating cookies shortly before this pregnancy. The morning sickness thing has put a pin in it for now! I do miss it, but I'll get back to it soon enough.
When we lived in Maine I LOVED to wander the beach and collect sea glass. For now, all I can do is "play' with my collection. H actually got interested when I mentioned the soft stormy beach (edit) color scheme for the nursery, and said if I finish my project he will light it from behind and it can go in the nursery.

@lap018 Aww twinsies! I've really been slacking on my scrapbooks lately! I'm in the middle of like 4 different ones...I better get on it before the LO arrives!! And you'd be surprised, I do love a good game of cards. I haven't played poker in years though! I love cards against humanity :-P
Reading, baking, and crochet are my main ones. I have certain TV shows I watch pretty religiously. Dance when I have time/energy. And organization. I`ve always enjoyed it, but it`s starting to become an obsession.
I read a few books a week, and have the most amazing book club that I adore. I also love to color, paint, and do the occasional diy project. I'm a writer professionaly, but on the side I'm working with a group of friends to write, produce, and act in a dramatic pod cast, which is super fun. I love to garden, but I don't know if I'll even have space for a small rooftop garden once we move to NYC. DH and I also play a lot of strategic board and card games, both with friends and just the two of us.
I LOVE to read! It is my favorite. I haven't picked up a book since I had me second 15 months ago....With all my crazy going on that would probably be a good outlet for me....Hmmmm I may be taking the kids to the library this week ladies!! I'm glad you started this thread! Also I am a little jealous of you crafty ladies and wish I could get into that stuff. I love handmade stuff. It is just so meaningful.
Reading! I read so much last year and sadly I've only finished 2 books this year. It was so hard for me to want to read when I was nauseous around the clock but now that's done and I have no excuse. I also love TV and going to the movies.

In any spare time I can find I am making jewelry or completing some Harry Potter themed dying craft. We also play a lot of board and card games with our friends and families. Some of our current favorites are scythe, agricola, firefly the board game, and Dominion. We used to play a lot of bridge, but it is hard to leave the table and we have a 9m old... @mrs_tacos & @awildrose what are you guys playing? We are always looking for new games to try, 2 player or otherwise!
Loving all these fellow readers! @mrs_tacos, @tfrangul, @Swazzle, I am an English teacher and reading has always been my thing. Sadly, my concentration has been shot throughout pregnancy and I have read just four books so far this year when typically I would have read 10 or 12 by this time. I've been watching more TV and Netflix instead. At least I still get the quality time with my kitties.
I wish I were crafty but I'm not. I managed to kill a succulent last year, so I also don't do anything with plants. I do enjoy board games, and DH and I have a good collection, but many of them require more than two people to play, so we don't play as often as I would like.
H and I LOVE Carcassonne! We have a bunch of games, but he's way more into them than I am. But I finally caved and let him teach me Carcassonne a few years ago, and it's one of our "date" activities (go sit in a coffee house and play and drink). Gosh we haven't done that since we moved here to MA... I need to plan something
@khenry12 Banangrams is our current favorite. We also love Tenzi with my kiddos. Scrabble, Yahtzee, and Garbage (card game) when family comes to town are fun ones, too.

Cars and motorcycles. Hands down. I love helping whenever my guy has a project, and my dad and I would always tinker growing up. We have a Harley. And I would say our hobby would be cruises when it's nice out. Needless to say that's been insanely limited and it breaks my heart.
Horses, but these days that's extremely rare unless it's a lesson for DS. Running, also sadly extremely rare. Books I sneak in when I can, definitely harder because 1) toddler and 2) I hate not being able to read through in one sitting. Those are definitely my three big ones but I also like coloring, cooking if I don't have to clean, shopping, playing poker or a family card game bid or pass. There are probably other hobbies but that's all I can think of right now.
@jena333 Carcassone is tricky for me because I don't have the best spatial reasoning, but my husband likes it a lot and has an app to play on his phone. It's a fun game, just not one I really enjoy playing since I have 0 chance of winning against him.
We are also in MA--not sure where you are, but in Brookline (Coolidge Corner area) and Somerville (Teele Square), there are board game cafes, both called Knight Moves, where you pay a modest amount of money to utilize their enormous library of board games. It's a cool business idea.

And..... stuck in box..... I have seen bananagrams and garbage played but never tried. I love me some Scrabble and yhatzee though!
Also @jena333 we love Carcassonne. One of our most favorite 2 player games. We also really like hanabi. It's a cooperative card game. Very fun.
divinemsm620 thanks! We're about 45minutes SW of Boston.
We definitely play what I call "puppies and rainbows Carcassonne," because he still wants a wife when we're done playing (eg, I don't like cut throat style games where you win by screwing over the person you're playing). So no stealing of roads/cities/etc, and more matching our abilities to grow them (instead of stealing unclaimed stuff for points). I don't win that often, which makes me cranky, but we always have a nice time playing.
@jena333 What a gorgeous sea glass project! I too love to wander the beach and collect sea glass, shells, and driftwood. Unfortunately my parents lost their beach property on LBI, NJ with Hurricane Sandy, so my beachcomber days are far and few between now
Agree with all of these fellow readers! Getting lost in a good story is my favorite hobby... when I've got the attention span for it! My concentration has been shot these past few months
For the fellow readers: I try to take a mommy`s night out twice a month or so, and hand-on-heart, most of the time I go to the library to read in silence for a couple of hours. I`m not super-social, although I do have a few friends I see regularly, but if I`m getting time to myself, that`s my activity of choice.
@khenry12 We also love Agricola, carcassone, dominion, and the Firefly the board game! We've been playing through Pandemic Legacy lately, but we also love Race for the Galaxy, Power Grid, Betrayal at House on the Hill, the Battlestar Galactica board game, Citadels, Cosmic Encounters, Ticket to Ride, etc. Oh, and DH has been really into the card game Monopoly Deal lately, so we've also played a lot of that.

In my own time, I like to shop or watch TV. I used to be a big reader but have barely read since having kids.

When I'm with friends I love to have a bonfire and beers. If it's too cold we'll play board games and have beer.
Pre-pregnancy I enjoyed running.
