@kjd291 the bassinet we borrowed from the neighbors and actually has two incline options and gets great reviews for reflux. i usually feed her in a reclined position with her kind of on top of the boob as recommended by the hospital LC. if i was side laying I'm sure id pass out haha . she still fusses with the incline and spits up but it'll get there sooner or later. and then we will have some other random issue I'm sure lol
@Lexxilou1986 I get insanely thirsty as soon as baby latches too! It's weird.
While I'm very sorry you guys have had some rough days (to put it mildly!), I find so much comfort in reading that I'm not alone. I don't post a whole lot because I rarely have the time (I read while I'm nursing and then either have toddler needs or I need to catch a bit of sleep). But I have been feeling miserable lately. This is just SO HARD.
@Gators&BoSox I do the reclined feeds too during the day-but the side lying at night because we're bedsharing. During the day I try and pop her off for the letdown and let the initial streams express into a towel so we don't have quite as much air gasping. ((sorry to turn this into a BF post))
@MahiMama Definitely agree on the --I'm sorry it sucks for everyone else too, but it's so nice to know you're not alone when the days are rough.
My positive thoughts for today: this too shall pass. my little is going to be 4wks old in 4days-the days are long, but the time flies by. This too shall pass. Before we know it the feedings will be few, the babies will be sitting up on their own, we will be able to leave the room with both kids on the floor and no danger of death when the older one tries to feed the baby Cheerios... This too shall pass. We will get our showers back, our eating with two hands back, our sleep back, our bodies back. This too shall pass!
@kjd291 Your post made me cry!! I'm not ready for her to grow! I'm in denial...this is my last baby and I don't want anything to pass! I'm just trying to savor every second. Even the 4am crying until I put her just so on my chest.
Aww, @Lexxilou1986 didn't mean to make the tears flow!! It's so hard to watch them grow up in general/I can't imagine knowing for sure it's the last one I keep saying I'm gonna have at least one more whenever I get emotional about things But we'll see! Today I'm already going to be packing away all my giant babies 3mo clothes, and switching her to size 2 diapers!
Had our first successful shopping outing today-I use the term "successful" loosely. success was going in the first place and leaving the house fully dressed and ready by 8:30! The other notable fun parts were DD1 taking her shoes off in the backseat and throwing them at DD2, and our first car seat diaper blowout! Yay!! Lol
