I was going to post this as a UO yesterday, but it never got posted and I feel too new to start threads. I think Sarah Jessica Parker is pretty and all the jokes about her being ugly and looking like a horse are so damn mean.

Confession unrelated to SJP - **TW pregnancy
One of my acquaintances (friend of a friend, really) on FB announced her second pregnancy a few days ago. And sure, that's great, blah blah, but I have schadenfreude (sort of) about it because her husband does zero to help her out with their first kid so she's essentially going to be taking care of two kids on her own, plus taking care of her adult kid (husband). I told H she was pregnant and he goes "Really? When [husband] doesn't lift a finger with the first one? Good luck with that."
Sidenote confession: Normally when I see pregnancy announcements they don't bother me because I know their fertility has no bearing on mine. I really don't care. But this one struck a nerve. Maybe it's because I'm in the middle of IVF and the frustration of having to go through such a complicated thing is making it hit me harder. And I feel evil (like that Kermit and evil Kermit meme) because while I'm happy she's happy, I'm also going "Ha, you're going to do all the work!" on the inside.

As for pregnancy announcements, I'm generally happy for them as long as I think they're good people and aren't smug AF or what I deem to be careless with the pregnancy. So one friend from HS? Yay! So happy for her (also later found out she had two losses so extra happy for her). Guy from HS who is a smug a-hole? No. Guy from HS tagged in his wife's rambling weird post about when she was having her 4th, she felt bad because she knew people struggling with loss and IF and bla bla bla, but surprise, they're having #5? Kind of irritated because of five for them but I also know that they're probably pretty good parents so... ugh. Old roommate who posted her gender reveal from Mexico? Somewhat unfairly triggering for me but my reaction was, "Oh, wow, wish I could get KU so easily that I would worry more about missing the week at our time share than the baby." Josh effing Duggar? I'm pissed.

@AlohaKumu I agree that the side threads tend to be where it's at. The Benche thread saves my life during anovulatory cycles and Zika crap.

@soemthingclever You comment about getting flammed reminded me that I always think it's funny when some drive by posts in the the grad thread and a bunch of newbs don't realize it and start love titing the post. Then once people start flamming the drive by all the newbs start removing it.
@JJMNO1616 I definitely cool with people having dozens of kids. I'm cool with them praying all they want, wearing their hair how they want, etc. But that family in particular crosses the line in so many hateful ways. Unacceptable. And to think back to years ago when one of my biggest issues with them was that the older kids couldn't have lives because they were expected to raise their siblings. Of course everyone in a family should pitch in but that goes far beyond what's fair. The parents should be responsible for the bulk of the care. And if they're not up for caring for that many at once, they should start TTA. Now that's the least of my issues with them.

<div class="QuoteText">I once farted while I was getting ready for work and DH was still in bed. I didn't think it was that loud, but he popped up and started going "I'm okay! I'm okay!" He laid back down and then he asked, "Babe, did you say something?" I was laughing so hard I could barely tell him what happened. We now joke that it must have given him flashbacks to his last deployment.</div>

I laughed WAY harder at this than I probably should have.
@icecubeinthedesert you are So okay. ... I think it's okay for such painful things to lose their sting a bit. Healing will do that. ❤ I remember this year I kept thinking about the anniversary of my dad's passing leading up to it... then I kind of forgot... and then it just kind if hit me when I saw the date at some point that day. :/ it is what it is. It's just life, and it goes on doesn't it... (((hugs)))
I hear you guys on the nice quiet board. I thought it was just me! Lol

Ugh to a friend/acquaintance on Facebook who posts pictures of the house they're building EVERY SINGLE DAY. I'm sure she doesn't mean to, but it comes across as "look at me and all the money I have".
ETA: This isn't even a FFFC <smacks head> I'm just going to start drinking wine until I can get my act together.
