Agenda: A friend's bridal shower and bachelorette party are today. I still feel like my FFFC...I was in bed by 1015 last night, pretty much within 30 minutes of getting home from dinner. Tomorrow I'm going to pedicures with my sister and then do all the stuff I have to do to get ready for this week.
Married: 10/13/2013
TTC #1: Mirena removed 5/26/2015; DH - normal SA, me - diagnosed with PCOS 8/4/2016 - on Metformin; BFP - 10/29/2016!!!, EDD - 7/8/2017; DD born 6/29/2017
Up early this morning to drop our dog to get neutered, then going to my SILs BBQ this afternoon. Tomorrow we have another BBQ to go to. I'm looking forward to all the food this weekend
My best friend is coming into town today and will be staying with us for a few days. Its been 3 months since I've seen her... The longest we've ever gone in-between visits. We will probably stay home with the kids since its supposed to rain but that is fine with me.
We are having friends over for dinner tonight - about 10 of us including 2 toddlers. It is relatively stress free for me - husband did most of the cleaning this morning. My friend will be bringing the food and rolling the dough for the pizza. He's Italian and his backup career is to someday open a pizzeria so he practices on us. He makes his own dough and sauce and I sent him the list for wholefoods - I picked the menu because although my husband likes gourmet pizzas he is not a huge fan of all the cured meat combinations my friend would otherwise pick. So I have: i) Arugula and prosciutto, ii) red onions, pistachio, and goat cheese, iii) caramelized onions, burrata, and chile flakes, and iv) pepperoni and mozzarella balls. I will also make a salad and husband will do clean up. Am really looking forward to having some company though I'm bummed that everyone else will be enjoying all the wine waaaah!
My husband has to work all day today so I will just be hanging out with baby, running a couple errands etc. Tomorrow, we will finalize our taxes and file, and I really should work on preparing our toddler's new room and finish the au pair's room.
Going to a party for DHs grandpas 94th bday! It will be the first time I am seeing most of that side of the family since getting pregnant and I am NOT looking forward to the unsolicited touching they are known for
Other than that, lots of spring cleaning in prep for getting the nursery in order and hopeful to see friends we haven't seen in quite some time tomorrow!
Today I have a 1-year birthday party for my good friend's little girl and then will go straight to the dinner portion of a bachelorette for a friend. I'm coming home after that since a) I'm lame b) I'm pregnant, and c) I have to be at church at 7 am tomorrow. The rest of the girls will go out and get drinks after dinner.
At some point I also need to wrap DH's birthday presents. His birthday is tomorrow and we just got home from vacation yesterday and all the packages had arrived. Maybe you guys could give me your input on something:
Our 14-month old son is giving DH matching outfits for the two of them. I got both of them khaki cargo shorts (DH needed them anyway) and want to have matching shirts too. I bought everything online so couldn't quite tell how the colors would go. I'm attaching two pics-- which do you like better with the cargo shorts?
Option 1: long sleeve denim shirts. DS's has white stitching while DH's doesn't. The fabrics aren't really the same but the color generally is.
Option 2: short sleeve pink polos. The pinks aren't the same but they're both definitely pink.
Both are fair skinned/haired/eyed and would look good in either color.
We are at a huge indoor play area/arcade to celebrate DD2's 3rd birthday today, since her birthday is on Monday. I have to go grocery shopping sometime today too.
Tomorrow I want to do nothing besides laundry and be lazy.
Me (K)-27 DH (T)-30 2 Rainbow DDs L-10/26/10 and A-03/27/14 2 Angels- 10/26/09 and 02/03/15 Surprise BFP on 10/25/16!!! Baby Firecracker is due on 07/02/17!
Getting my hair done, then a baby shower, then out to dinner for my sister's birthday. She's turning 30, and for some reason that makes me feel super old. It didn't bother me when I turned 30, but my little sister is a different story.
Cousin's baby shower today. Kinda excited to go because my mom and I can scope out all the decorations and games; it will come in handy for my baby shower in the near future lol.
DSS has started spring break and we unfortunately have nothing planned because I'm working all week and DH is working most of the week too. But we are pretty spontaneous, so maybe we will do something.
@star_beagle if a 1015 bedtime is FFFC I should be confessing my recent daily bedtime of 845. The other night I was in a deep sleep and woke up on the couch and turned to DH expecting him to say it was 1030 and time to move upstairs. "It's just about 9." Whoops!
@Dovahkiin_99 nice PJ score! I need to start looking for boy things!
Weekend plans now consist of staying in L&D tonight for a kidney stone in my left and right ureters and moderate hydronephrosis. I may need a stent (I'm praying I don't, I've heard horror studies). Hope everyone is having a better weekend than me!
My weekend is pretty lame. The weather is awful, but im dying for spring! I dropped off my winter coats at the dry cleaners and washed those that I could at home. Maybe if I act like it's spring, the weather will cooperate?
Acstec1: Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully, you won't need at stent. Keeping you in my thoughts. ( Sorry, my phone won't let me tag).
@acstec1 Yikes, so sorry! Hope the heeling is quick and smooth!
We are out of town for a couple of days exploring. I got to visit a friend I haven't seen in a year and a half and introduce her to DD. Pre-pregnancy me would be hiking and on the go the whole time but pregnant me is just always getting ready for the next meal and back in the hotel by 5pm!
On a work trip in California. Warm weather = YES... but I'm just exhausted. Ive napped in the afternoon each of the last three days.
Pretty much over it at this point and still have a few days left. Tonight's dinner dress code for women is "smart dress" which is unfortunate since all I've brought is my stupid dresses. Currently sitting on the balcony of my room wondering how I'm gonna get through another dinner with no booze.
We have our gender reveal party today and I'm so excited!! Nobody knows that I know (DH doesn't even know) so I can't wait to see his face when he finds out she's a girl!!
I just realized I started this thread and never posted! My BF from home was in town for a conference and extends her stay one night so we could spent time together. She turned 30 recently, and we ha as fantastic day of going to a nice lunch, pedicures, lounging and dinner at my favorite Italian place. I drove her to the airport Saturday morning at some ungodly early hour (hence the thread being started so early) and went back to sleep. We had really nasty weather yesterday so DH and I did some housework and then went on a date night to Beauty and the Beast and dinner. I am not a huge Disney fan, but it was my favorite movie growing up and I thought it was well done. I think the baby got freaked out by the volume in the theater because it moved and kicked the entire movie. Normally I love that feeling but it actually got uncomfortable by the end!
Today we plan to take our dogs to the park and finish some housework. My running days are officially over for this pregnancy (I made it to 22 weeks, so not too bad IMO.) but I'm trying to walk and get some cardio as much as I can. Happy Sunday everyone!

When I saw it, it was the same way. The one scene where Beast roars at the wolves was so loud that the baby jumped and then curled up in a ball.

@star_beagle yes! I've felt consistent movement since 18ish weeks but nothing on this scale! It didn't stop for the whole movie. Poor thing was pretty still the rest of the night so it must have tuckered itself out.
I've had a pretty chill weekend. I went to lunch and some shopping with some friends I haven't seen in a while. I didn't buy anything. I just wanted to hang out. Today is my granny's 83rd bday so I'm going to see her later. She's the best lady in the world and I can't wait for my baby to meet her!
The only negative is that one of my best friends said "I hope your baby is a boy bc you'll do better." Or something along those lines. My best best friend said basically the same to me a couple months ago too. I don't understand why people think that's an okay thing to say. I told both of them that it's really mean and I don't get what they even mean by it. She didn't elaborate. I think they mean bc I'm not especially girly and don't like the major frills and huge bows. But that has nothing to do with parenting a child so it really frustrates me that they say it. It's so rude. Thanks for your support best friends! They know my mom has been less than supportive through my pregnancy so you'd think they'd be extra helpful.
@oheliza44@star_beagle omg. So we went to see it last weekend and my little girl did the same thing!! I kept joking with DH that I wasn't sure if that meant she loved or hated it. How weird that they all had the same reaction.
Well ladies, I finally cracked! As you know, I've had a pretty "disconnected" and not very emotional pregnancy. Yesterday we went to Buy Buy Baby to order our glider, and the guy convinced us to start a registry, even though I'm not having a shower, so we walked around looking at all the different stuff. When I saw this blanket and lovey, I burst into tears! I'm really going to have a little boy! Soon!!
@ginger1228 that annoys me too - you don't have to be a girly girl to be a great mom to a daughter or even enjoy more girly things with her and through your daughters eyes if that's her personailty. Plus I'd worry about anyone who's main idea of raising a daughter centers around bows and glitter anyways.
Yesterday was a bit of a bust but today has been a pretty perfect Sunday. We slept in till 8 (hasn't happened in years), DH gets to "tinker" around doing little projects in his garage and on the new house, the weather here looks dreary but is very mild and pleasant so we spent the morning at the park and outside playing and blowing bubbles. The kids managed to find every puddle and splash in it. We have no plans to go anywhere or do anything we don't want to and DH is even going to get dinner. Today would be my Groundhog Day if I ever got to choose one

Is it strange that now I want to see the movie just to see how my baby will react? lol

@GlitterFish super cute blanket! Love those colors for a little boy. Did you find a glider you liked there? I have been meaning to go, as I HATE our current glider from BRU.
@acstec1 Thanks! We did! They have a really good selection at BBB. I got the Tryp by Best Furniture. Its this gray chair, and I ordered it in the blue color called Ocean with the gray of the first chair for cording (I love the white but you can tell from the floor models it gets dirty quick!) And they accept the 20% off coupons so with tax I think it was about $520!
@ginger1228 Don't let anyone get you down. My sister is not much of a girly girl and her nearly 6 yr old daughter is. They do just fine! My sister has no problem picking out both frilly and funky clothes and toys. My niece is a kickass ninja turtle ballerina.
@caribbeanmama Your pizza story is killing me. I just asked my husband why we dont have a cool italian friend who dreams of opening a pizzeria to cook for us. Pizza is my soul this pregnancy.
I had a good weekend. A birthday party for a friend's daughter yesterday. Visited my friend and her family today and my almost 2 DS was actually social with her 2 yr old. Yay! Bad news I definitely pulled a muscle in the crotchular region... don't know when or how but DAMN.
@Dcwtada & @ladybray! I don't have a real preference if it's a boy or girl (we're team green, btw), but part of me hopes it's a girl just bc of these people. And I'll be a kick ass mom to her.
@acstec1 I also lovedddd the blue one (Quinn model) its wider and soft and heavenly, but doesn't recline and we were fairly set on that... Maybe one day for the living room!
Highly monitored internet and no cell service in the office, so I'm postin' and ghostin' while I'm workin'
@GlitterFish those are great chairs. We actually have both, lol. We have the grey one for my sons room and the other one in my daughter's. We still use both daily and love them.
Re: Weekend Randoms- 3/25
I'm hoping to get outside this weekend. It's finally warming up again!
