WTF to the client I just had that told me I was having my kids too close together, and that I was going to get "sick in the head" at night from lack of sleep. Number one, who the hell are you? This is the first time I've ever waited on you or even seen your face and you don't get to comment on pregnancy period! Number two, yes this may be exactly what you told your daughter also but I'm not your daughter, I'm your bank teller and according to my co-workers your daughter won't speak to you or let you see your grandchildren so you should probably think about that before you start offering strangers "advice".
My wtf goes directly to DH. Now that we are officially moving we need to get our house on the market ASAP. There are several small projects that need to get done so we can list/get pics taken. Things that have needed to be done for months. I told him we need to get these things DONE. It would take an hour or two tops to get this stuff done if he would just buckle down and do it. And this is on top of just general cleaning to make it look presentable and ready for a baby. "He knows, he just needs to relax. He will get it done". Guess who is on his 3rd episode of Netflix after getting home from work.... I'm so frustrated that he is picking sitting on the couch and watching Netflix now over having more time with the baby when he gets here. And I explained that. He says he understands, but nothing changes. So what will it be like when the baby is here?
I got a good one on size today...A co-worker told me "We've decided you are either having two small babies or one hell of a big baby!" I was like "As long as she's healthy I don't care!" and walked away. Really lady?
@mylittleirvz what is wrong with people?! I got my first "are you sure it's not twins" from a guy at work and I shit you not...3 hours later I hear my dad talking and he said "idk if she has one or two in there at this point" WTF
Every time I comment on a FB post about this being our last baby, my sister HAS TO COMMENT about how "oh, u know this isn't ur last 1" or "u know u guys r having 1 more"! It may have been funny the first time, but it's just annoying as fuck at this point. I'm 36, this is my third, and I just started my career. Trust me, precautions will be taken to ensure there are no more. And yes, that is how she types it. She's 41.
This week my WTF and TW go to my H's boss. I mentioned this on my ticker change, but with this baby DH is only taking a week off "and a couple of days here and there". WTF? Last time, he took 3 weeks, and it was wonderful! This time, I will have both a needy toddler and a nursing newborn, and I am terrified to be alone with both.
DH has about 5 months of sick time accrued, so it would be paid time off, and he qualifies for FMLA. I have a strong feeling his boss, who is older and has mentioned several times he doesn't understand why men take paternity leave, has put it in his ear or made him feel as though it could affect his future by taking of time with his newborn child. DH denies this is the case, but I don't believe him.
@Beckyf321 my mom does the same thing to me. She keeps saying things like " you'll change your mind in a few years" and "just like you weren't even having kids".. I've always wanted kids.. so unless it was a comment to shut her up at some point I don't know where she'd get that.. and no I won't change my mind. We don't want more, we can't afford more and we don't have space for more. Finally I told her that I'm having my tubes tied when I have my csection.. it's a lie but it's shut her up.
@rachelmiller03 I'm terrified of being left with both kids too. My husband's job has a crazy busy couple weeks starting the week we are having the baby so he won't be able to take time off once I'm out of the hospital.. normally he isn't busy until May so we thought we timed this perfectly. DD is almost 5 and very independent so hopefully it won't be bad at home. But leaving the house with two makes me scared. We lived in a MIL apartment below my parents when DD was born so they could watch her most of the time when I had to run to the store quick or walk the dog. This time I have to drag two kids around to do errands.
