- Since yesterday, I've been feeling super hungry and have been eating sooooo much. - Headaches - lots of watery discharge - heartburn - slight fatigue - tonight, my feet puffed up like crazy!! Unless I've been on my feet all day doing lots of walking or physical activity, my feet have never swollen. And they've never ever been this puffy. It's got me really worried. I checked my blood pressure and it's a tiny bit elevated, but still in an acceptable range. I did eat way too much salt today, and walked around the mall tonight....maybe that's why? Anyone else having any swelling already?

Yes. I've noticed my hair ties will leave insane indentions after just an hour or two. I've also noticed socks, and my shoes leave all sorts of lines. You're not alone!
I'm just getting big. Bump still isn't super "bump-ish," but I feel like I'm gaining weight in my face, butt, arms, thighs... everywhere! Went to the doc yesterday, and I've now gained 14 lbs since pre-pregnancy. Yikes! Doc hasn't said anything, but everything I read seems to tell me that's too much. Blah.
Is anyone else charting their weight or am I just a nerd?
I just started gaining weight by leaps and bounds this week, and I think it's interesting that it happened right at the 2nd trimester mark. Now to start eating healthy again and trying to do a little light exercise.
I am the opposite of this. I usually cry frequently. DH says I have an empathy problem, because any emotional commercial or Facebook post, and I'm tearing up. And I was an emotional mess in early to mid first tri. But I'm like a stone wall lately. I haven't cried in weeks, and people have asked me if I'm actually excited about this baby. I really, really am, I just don't feel super emotional right now.
^This is me too! I have always been a super emotional person. I used to cry every.single.day! Not boo-hoo tears but watery eyes because I just feel for other people/animals/etc. But lately it's been almost nothing. I cry maybe once or twice a week, it's such a strange feeling! I also fear that people don't think I am excited about the baby. My dad asked me all the time if I am "because I am not acting excited." I am not sure what people expect. Also, I get really uncomfortable when people show me attention, and I try to make it stop ASAP, which again is probably giving off the wrong signals.
I'm not as empathetic as you all are, but I hate when people I am not very close with ask me about my pregnancy. I get really uncomfortable and want to end the conversation asap/hide in a hole. Then they don't think I'm excited. I just don't know how to respond to all the congratulations and how do you feel etc etc. I get overwhelmed and I'm like yeah im good we're happy k bye. lol
16+2 Anyone else have severe acid reflux? It makes me cough, gag and then sometimes vomit. I've had it since week 5, have been taking over the counter Prevacid and just moved to Protonix since its not better. Anyone have any remedies? Or if STM and you had this before, does it last the whole pregnancy?
@mrsmarygs I have been charting my weight too. So far I still haven't gained a pound. I am still 2 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight. My doctor keeps asking me if I'm eating every time I have an appointment.

I've been taking Zantac and that seems to really help me personally
But just to clarify mine wasn't so bad that I was coughing or gagging or vomiting. Sometimes (tmi) I might throw up in my mouth a little but the Zantac reeeeaally helps me. My doctor reccomended it to me
@labby18 the tums worked okay for me for a little while in my first pregnancy, but towards the end of the second trimester it started getting really painful and a lot worse. Zantac became my best friend that day! I've already started the Zantac this time because the tums did okay ish on the short term relief but I'd still wake up at night with heartburn and indigestion. It has also helped my nausea in the mornings.
+1 on the Zantac train. I have horrible, chest-seering heartburn, and enough reflux to be uncomfortable. I still do a little of the gagging, where you can feel it in your throat and/or might throw up in your mouth a little, when I'm on it, but it's much less severe, and it keeps the heartburn away completely, which is otherwise an aggressive, all day affair.
@amandarene112 toot toot all aboard the Zantac train have you tried the cool mint Zantac? I kind of want to but I'm not sure if it's the same as the regular or not

You know what they say heartburn means a baby with a head full of hair. With DS that was true. I had awful heartburn with my first and this LO I've had it too.
But seriously, I'm still in my first trimester and can't eat or think about exercising. I was so proud of myself for walking down the stairs at my doctors office yesterday instead of taking the elevator. Baby steps.

False. My sister had it very very bad and my niece was bald until she was 2 lol
@mrsmarygs I would love to see a fitness check in. I try and workout several days per week but it would be nice to be able to motivate each other to reach our goals. I have modified some of my workouts but I am interested in knowing what everyone else does.
Don't get me started on old wives' tales. Everyone around me keeps telling me that my baby is a boy or a girl based on whatever random old wives' tale. Drives me nuts. Also, half of them come down as this baby is a boy and half of them suggest girl. They can't all be right.
Everyone tells me I'm having a girl because I'm carrying low. And I'm like no I'm just fat and it's hanging down weird lol (I am having a girl but they don't know that haha)
@kelseyrayay my sister told me because I was carrying low it was a boy lol. It was a boy but I was carrying low because I was barely pregnant and my uterus was tiny lol!
oh my. my right boob hurts, it's this weird throbbing pain. ugh this is no bueno. I am sitting in my office caressing my boob. God forbid one of the many men I work with walk past my door and happen to look through the window
@mrsmarygs@labby18 My students are at PE right now... I have spent at least half of my free time holding my boobs. I don't know what their deal is today.
My hands, arms and feet fucking ache so bad. I do have fibromyalgia, but this baby is ramping all of my auto immune issues UP! I'm sad, because my first pregnancy made everything better and I was hoping this would be the same. Every pregnancy really is different.
Okay my c-section mamas. How is your incision area feeling? The right side of my incision has always felt like it healed with almost no scar tissue behind it, it's very soft to touch. The left side, however, has always felt very thick like there is a lot of scar tissue behind it. Anyway right now, the left side of my incision is very tender. Both all of the hard scar tissue behind it and the actual scar itself. I'm planning on talking to my doctor at my next appointment but until then, how are everyone else's incision scars?

Ahh does that mean all old wives tales are wrong? Even the nub theory? (insert sarcasm)
GASP! How dare you say they are wrong! Modern medicine will ruin you, only old wives tales are correct! Don't you know that!?!?!
