@heatherdubrow Nah, no fertility treatment for me (almost at the point I was going to need to but then I got pregnant). It was more of a curiosity as I wanted to see if the numbers were doubling or not.

I have my third beta test tomorrow. First one at 15dpo was 137, second at 19dpo was 1069. The dr was happy with that but still wants one more before they let me schedule my 6-7 week scan. Fingers crossed!
Good Morning ladies! I just had my first beta this morning. Anxiously awaiting the results. I've taken 8 home pregnancy tests so I'm pretty sure it'll be good news, but I'll breath easier when I hear the number.

I think it can be easy to think doing betas is the norm because so many women nowadays are under an RE's care (where it is the norm). I never had betas drawn with my first baby, and now I'm trying to remind myself that it's okay to be just as excited and happy and positive as I was then - just because I'm seeing a doctor who looks at more things more often, doesn't mean everything isn't just as okay as it was when I didn't see a doctor until 10 weeks +.

Just had my blood drawn for hcg quantitative/progesterone and will hear back tomorrow via online records. Happy it only took about 5 minutes because no one was there, so didn't even have to use my whole lunch hour for the trip which was nice.
My OB did leave a message with the receptionist to schedule a prenatal visit at 6 weeks. But that seems early (since you can't see anything and I read that sometimes heart beat isn't until 8 weeks). I requested to wait until 8 weeks, but the receptionist said my OB's request was what I should do. So I scheduled for 6 weeks.
@dragonfly87 I go to my RE at 6 weeks 5 days for an ultrasound then another around 8 weeks, then released to OB at 10 weeks. But the ob doesn't start seeing you until 8 weeks anyway
@dragonfly87 This pregnancy, my first appointment and ultrasound are when I'm over 9 weeks. However, with my first, the first appointment was more about going over histories and filling out paperwork. My ultrasound was at a following appointment. That might be their plan, too!
@kissthesky32: Thanks for the response...I couldn't do exactly 6 weeks because work schedule, so it's actually 6 weeks, 5 days. But I guess it's close to 7 weeks.
Roliepoliecoley4 They did give me a prenatal packet with paperwork and asked to bring it back. So that might be it. She also said something about doing a pap during the visit.
HCG on Monday was 981. Today it came in at 2,143. That's a 42 hour doubling time a total increase of 118%, so my doctor is very happy. No to somehow survive my anxiety for three more weeks until my scan.

Are most ladies waiting until 8 weeks?
I had mine drawn today too! I insisted on an early scan last time because we had decided to take a break from trying for a while as we were frustrated so I hadn't been being careful about medicines I took or what I was eating and I was worried, at 6 weeks we could barely see anything and we couldn't hear the heartbeat, but the ultrasound tech was able to see the heartbeat and reassure me that things were looking good. Overall it was still a good way to gain peace of mind.
@famiylgrl86 thank you!!! lol I have sore bbs and cramping but that's all! I was terribly nauseous forever with my first so I hope that isn't coming ahaha. Your number was great! How many weeks are you??
@dragonfly87 my OBGYN had me come in early. I went in at 5.5 weeks to do paperwork and have them check that things are physically looking good and take blood (although it sounds like you already did the blood work). I will go back at 8 weeks for an ultrasound. I was glad to know they don't do much at that first appointment so that I wasn't disappointed! Even though I didn't get to see or hear baby it was still nice to have the doctor say "you are definitely pregnant". Ah, what wonderful words

**TW** Right before my loss, I had an ultrasound at 6w for bleeding and we saw a heartbeat.

Trying to do internet research and it seems pretty normal from what I can tell. Going back tomorrow to make sure it is doubling.
