Sasha (girl)

DH & I are considering Sasha for a little girl instead of Simone.

We still like Simone but it's been my top choice for many many years now and I'm getting bored with it. Plus, it might not sound different enough when compared to our son's name, Roman.

I was thinking of Sasha Simone. I'm not usually a fan of alliteration but in this case I kind of like it. Initials would be SSH.

Thoughts? Any other MN ideas? TIA!

I personally prefer Simone. Sasha as a given feels.....dated and spoiled.

I like Sahsa. I don't get any dated or spoiled vibes from it, and I agree that it sounds less matchy with Roman, but is still a strong sib set.

I like Simone better, but agree with how it sounds as a sibset with Roman.

Sasha is ok for me, it's not my style but I wouldn't side eye anybody for using it.

    What about Scarlett or Sarah?

I like Simone so much more but agree it's too matchy with roman which BTW I love.

Im just not a fan of Sasha in general but even less a fan on a girl.

Do you have any others on your list?

Not a fan of Sasha at all. Simone is great but sounds like a mouthful with Roman. Maybe...

    Cecilia
    Celeste
    Serena

NAF of Sasha - it's all boy to me and doesn't really go with Roman.

I think both are great, but agree that Roman and Simone are a little similar. I think Sasha works better with his name. I also suggest Celeste, one of my favorites and a very similar sound/feel to your names.

Thanks all! I recently added Keira & Mila to my list but I really try to stay away from top 100. So, I think Mila is out because apparently it's oober popular now.

Minor nitpick,  but i before e. Kiera, not Keira.

Keira Knightly has said in interviews that her mom spelled it wrong.

Hmmmmm if I can get DH on board I like Kiera better too. I thought Keira had history besides Keira Knightly but apparently it doesn't!

I prefer Simone to Sasha. Sasha always sounded like a nn for Natasha or Anastasia. Have you thought of:

    Sloane
    Sonia
    Skylar
    Serena
    Sela
    Sabine

Love Sasha!  I don't like alliteration either, but Sasha Simone has a certain ring to it.  It's probably one of the few alliterations that I could get behind.  Other middle name ideas for you if you decide against the alliteration:

    Sasha Grace
    Sasha Jacqueline
    Sasha Justine
    Sasha Kristin
    Sasha Leandra
    Sasha Maria
    Sasha Nadine
    Sasha Natalie
    Sasha Roxanne
    Sasha Violet

I generally think of Sasha as a nickname for Natasha. Would you consider that as a given with Sasha as a nn? I do like Simone, but it sounds kind of like a tongue twister to say "Simone and Roman" if you are concerned about that.
