  • Month/Cycle: 7/6 (4/3)

    CD/DPO: 30/10

    Timing: -5, -3, -1

Testing: BFN this morning *TW* Just reminding myself that with our loss I didn't get a BFP until 12dpo *End TW*

R/R: DH was snoring something awful last night so I went and slept in the guest room. This morning he's all apologetic, but this happens so often that at this point his apologies just aggravate me.

CS/Q: Nothing today, just impressed with my pretty chart, but reminding myself that pretty chart does not equal KU.
    My Ovulation Chart

GTKY: What is your hair routine?
My hair has this weird too curly to be wavy but too wavy to be curly thing going on so I try not to mess with it too much. I usually wash it at night and let it dry as I sleep. Sometimes I'll use a little bit of moroccan oil. If I wash it in the morning, then I'll blow dry it straight.

  • @kariann323 Sorry for the BFN - FX it's too early!

    Month/Cycle: 7/7

    CD/DPO:  18/1

    Timing:  Atrocious.  -4 (see r/r)

    Testing:  Nope

R/R:  Just ready to move on the the next cycle already.  The pressure got to DH and -2 and -1 just couldn't do it.  So frustrating.  He has ONE job!  I know he feels bad about it - this is the first cycle though that it's been an issue.  I'm thinking next cycle just dtd with the first +OPK (and not tell DH it's +) and call it a day.  My OBGYN said try two more cycles with good timing and if doesn't work we will get more aggressive (AMA over here)

    CS/Q:  Nothing today

GTKY:  What's your hair care routine?  I used a Redken shampoo for volume or my hair looks so oily and greasy.  Usually just wash and blow dry - it usually ends up in a ponytail

  • @KariAnn323 - So sorry for the BFN. With early testing, I love to check out countdowntopregnancy. If you google that and your brand, you can see the percentages of positives versus false negatives for each dpo with each brand. Here's the wondfo link, since that's what I have bookmarked: https://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/brand-chart.php?hptbrandid=52. **TW** My BFPs have ranged from 8 to 11dpo, so it's definitely still early for me. **TW**

@RVAmom315 - That stinks about your timing. DH has cycles with the same issue. We've had to get creative to make it work sometimes.

    Month/Cycle: 11/9

    CD/DPO: 27/9

    Timing: -5, -2, -1, 0

Testing: Compulsive early tester. Another BFN this morning.

R/R: Rant: Temp drop this morning. I'm trying to convince myself that it's an implantation dip, but with a 10 or 11 day LP and the horridly stark white BFN this morning, it's probably more predictive of AF.

CS/Q: Nope. Feel free to stalk it, but it's ugly.

GTKY: What is your hair routine? Wash in the morning and towel dry. I'll run a brush through it once it's dry before I walk into work. Or, days like today, just dry shampoo and a plan to shower later. If I'm getting dressed up, I use a volumizer and blow it dry. I usually add some dry shampoo too for texture and to make sure it doesn't get greasy. Super fine and straight hair.

    CD/DPO: 24/12

    Timing: Doesn't matter

Testing: BFFN today. I won't be testing again as we are obviously out this cycle

R/R: I am probably gonna stop posting in the TWW for some time as it is just depressing me. I thought I would be here for 3 months max, not going into 8 cycles with no end in sight. The idea that there is something wrong with us and that we will need help getting KU is stressing me out, because we aren't sure how much reproductive assistance we want to do. Womp fucking womp.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: What is your hair routine?

Wash hair. Air dry. Go. It is straight as anything, no matter if I do anything to it, so why bother.
  • @kiwi2628 I am so sorry.  TTC sucks.  Take the time you need to take care of yourself, that's what most important.  You know the community will always be here for you

Timing: good - confirmed by blood test and ultrasound

Testing: blood preg test on 3/13 (booked that day off!)

R/R: rant - i'm in Canada and it is still so cold. I'm so done with this weather already!

    CS/Q:

GTKY: What is your hair routine?
Maybe this is my rant? Haha. I have really coarse dry hair so I only wash it twice a week - i live on dry shampoo! Otherwise, blowdry with fingers and
    unexplained infertility.
started ttc dec 2015. started working with RE in jan 2017.

  • Oh no sorry for the bfns ladies @kariann323 @kissthesky@kiwi2628 still have my fx for you

@RVAmom315 -4 is still FW timing!! Don't write it off just yet!!

    Month/Cycle: 14/14 3AL

    CD/DPO: 21/8

    Timing: -5,-3,-1

Testing: the urge is getting stronger I don't know how long I'll be able to hold out for

R/R: you guise I've been really having a hard time still with work boundaries I worked 3 hours overtime yesterday (didn't bump at all) and barely had a minute to myself. I keep saying when I'm KU that IDGAF what is happening I'm not overworking and stressing myself but why would I do that any other time anyway. Ugh.

    CS/Q: none

GTKY: What is your hair routine?
i like to do loose beach waves or I straighten it. I have curly hair but I don't like it like that, I also just bought a waver that I used to have in high school looks like they are coming back in!
  • Sorry for the BFNs ladies. Fx it's just early!

@RVAmom315 so frustrating! DH got like that too this cycle. Normally he is *ahem* ready just by knowing it's going to happen....but once I told him It was O time and we needed to BD RIGHT NOW he suddenly couldn't.....grr

@kiwi2628 it's so hard. Whatever you choose, the community will be here <3

@fresh76 fellow Canadian here! I'm in Ontario though, near Toronto. It's super mild today....looks like spring!

    Month/Cycle: 13/12

    CD/DPO: 24/2

    Timing: -2, -1, 0

Testing: Blood test at RE on March 20

R/R: I just wish I know if I actually O'ed or not...it's my first month with the trigger shot. Next month I'm still going to temp so I have an idea.

    CS/Q: None really

GTKY: What is your hair routine?

i have fine wavy hair so it's taken a long time to find a good routine and embrace it. I straightened my hair for years, and to be honest I like it best when I smooth it out and use a curling wand on it....but who has time for that? I usually use a wide tooth comb in the shower...never a brush..and I also only ever use a microfibre towel on my hair. I scrunch out all the water with the towel and apply a curling cream....scrunch that in and diffuse dry. It works for me.

  • P&G this morning. Hope everyone has a good day today.

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 21/7

    Timing: -3, -1, 0

    Testing: nope, nope, nope

R/R: Everyone who ate a chocolate malt and mozzarella sticks for dinner last night, please raise your hand.

I really want to eat healthy, especially when I get KU but I have no self-control. Wasn’t even craving it, just passed by Sonic after running an errand. However, I like Steak ‘N Shake shakes better. I like my shakes almost to the consistency of ice cream.

    CS/Q: No

GTKY: What is your hair routine? I’ve been alternating washing with Head and Shoulders and a nicer brand that does much more for my hair (can’t think of name). In the winter my scalp gets flaky and itchy so Head and Shoulders helps that. Plus I’m lazy and unless I absolutely have to, I don’t blow dry. Either put it up in a wet messy bun or let it air dry and put it up in a dry messy bun.

GTKY: What is your hair routine?  I usually wash at night to let it air dry.  Then I straighten it or put in up in a messy bun.  I'm not good at styling so I have those two options but I am weird about my products.  I must use Aveda hair products, they are the best!

  • Hi everyone! This is my first time posting since I took a break back in December. There are so many people I don't know that I feel like it's a whole new community! I posted in the newbie thread on Monday to reintroduce myself. Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

    @KariAnn323, @kissthesky32, @kiwi2628- Sorry for the BFNs!

@kissthesky32- That link is dangerous but oh so interesting!

@RVAmom315- sorry for the bad timing! -4 is definitely still a possibility though!

    Month/Cycle: 1 officially

    CD/DPO: 30/3

    Timing: -5,-4,-2,-1,0

Testing: I'm going to try waiting until 14 dpo. I have seen way too many stark white lines and could probably send my future child to harvard with all the money I wasted on negative tests. But I will probably go crazy and test way too early as usual.

R/R: Really hoping I O'd when I thought. Or at least hope I o'd at all. Got my blaring positive OPK on saturday so I assumed Sunday was my O day but we all know that this is not necessarily true. Wish I could have the discipline to temp but my sleep schedule is so weird that it would stress me out and possibly do more harm than good.

    CS/Q: Don't think so

GTKY: What is your hair routine?  I am so lazy. I have crazy curly hair so most mornings are messy buns. I choose sleeping over cute hair every time.

@RVAmom315 That -4 could still do it! FX that it did!
@kissthesky32 Sorry for the BFN & temp drop...here's hoping it does end up being implantation dip, though!
@kiwi2628 I'm so sorry. :( It's so hard to feel stuck and living life month to month.
@fresh76 FX for your blood test!!!
@beachbunnyxo123 Ugh, sorry about all that OT!
@vintageandrea90 FX you get good news at your blood test and don't even have a next cycle to temp. ;)
@justkeepswimming8 Okay, now I want mozzarella sticks.
@SoldiersMom We may end up being test day buddies if I can't hold out until Sunday!

    Month/Cycle: 12/8

CD/DPO: 28/10 (FF moved my CH to CD 14 but I don't believe that, so sticking with CD 18 O)

    Timing: -5, -4, -3, -1

Testing: 14 DPO at the earliest (Sunday) unless DH begs me to earlier

R/R: Rant: I am just feeling super rage-y this morning. I really hate a messy kitchen and DH is so bad about cleaning up messes which always bugs me, but this morning I was like Hulk-level angry when I walked into the kitchen. Rave: I recognized I was being crazy and didn't yell at him, so I'm proud of my self control.

CS/Q: Linked my chart in my siggy this morning following directions from @dragonfly87. (But like I said above, I think FF is drunk and I didn't O on CD 14.)

GTKY: What is your hair routine?
I wash every three days. I use some sort of oil and then blow dry on wash days. My hair is straight and fine, so after blow drying it's super straight. On non-wash days I always use Batiste or Not Your Mother's dry shampoo. Yesterday was day three and I did a little half bun which I was a fan of. Re: Shampoo and conditioner, my shower right now has like 79 bottles of shampoo at varying levels of fullness and one bottle of conditioner. I go through conditioner way faster and only just recently decided to stop buying matching sets until all my extra shampoos are gone. So I have a super random assortment.

    Testing: done with that

R/R: feeling really, really out. usually before AF arrives I have this sort of radiating pain in my quads (it's awesome, wish there was a sarcasm font) anyway, that started last night and I had a good cry in the shower. Was reluctant to get out of bed this morning because I didn't know what I would find. no AF yet, but she is on her way. told DH this and he was like, well how do you know? Well dear, because I know what it feels like to start AF I've been doing it every month for the last 23 years.

CS/Q: linked in my siggy. Thanks @dragonfly87  I'm pretty sure AF is on the way, but no temp drop this AM. Any thoughts on this? my chart

General Question: I know AMA is 35+ as a standard, but does anyone ever take in to account when one started having a consistent cycle? Seems like someone that started at 11 vs someone at 14 would be in a different place. Just curious.

GTKY: What is your hair routine?
I'm super lazy when it comes to my hair. It does this natural wave thing if I wash it and let it air dry, so I typically do that. No brushing. If I brush it, it becomes huge. Usually the second day, I will brush it out and then flat iron it. I like the Lush bar shampoo. It has really helped with how oily my hair has been since I stopped the BCP. I wish I had known about the not brushing when I was in high school, or that flat irons would have been a thing back then...

@Avrilmai Sorry you are feeling out :(

@Rejufsovelem Fair - that would make it really hard, and may end up making things more stressful :(

@Rejufsovelem I hear you entirely. I didn't even bother temping this cycle because my little guy has pneumonia and is awake every hour coughing. My temp would be so screwy. I wish I did temp anyway, just to see, but oh well.

  • @Avrilmai How long is your LP normally? FWIW, ***TW***I 100% thought AF was on her way when I got my first BFP. ***TW***
  • Month/Cycle: 8/9

    CD/DPO: CD24/10DPO

    Timing: -4, -2, 0,+1

Testing: Ugh I don't know! I'm going to try to wait until 14DPO which would be Sunday.

R/R: I had my CD21 (technically CD22) blood test done on Monday and I logged in this morning to see the numbers but I don't know what they mean and my doctor is out this week. It's my first cycle on clomid and my progesterone went up a little but I don't know what level it should be at and I've read a lot of conflicting stuff online. My doctor told me if I O well on it for 3 months and still nothing I'll be referred to a specialist but I don't know what level she considers ovulating "well." I just wish I knew what I was looking for. I'm also just feeling like I'm out this cycle which is frustrating and scary because I don't want to end up at a specialist because we're not sure how much money we want to dump into the TTC process itself. Bleh.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: What is your hair routine?
I recently got my hair cut so it's a lot easier to deal with but now it's so short that I have to style it or else wear it in a ponytail which I'm trying to do less. I usually wash it at night and let it air dry and if I wake up early enough in the morning I straighten it. Today It's in a pony with my bangs pinned back because I was so sleepy this morning and got up super late.

@dragonfly87. Me too. Both times it felt like it was arriving. With my first I thought I had the flu because I felt so horrendous. Wouldn't it be nice if some weird feeling indicated pregnancy? Like we all got this specific kind of relateable cramp lol Like oh hey, yeah that's the pregnancy cramp!

  • MJDsquared That's tough because all signs but the temp rise would indicate CD 14. When do you normally O and how long is your LP? Have you tested yet?
  • @justkeepswimming8 Serious giggle for your R/R and GIF.

@LaurenEG14 and @Sailing_Mama The link is a nice little rabbit hole to fall down for a while.

    Sorry about AF, @GG620

I'm with you on the rant, @Sailing_Mama. TTC fucking sucks. So much waiting, so much guessing, so much hoping - and then AF arrives and it all starts over again.

    @SoldiersMom Yay WFH Wednesday!

@Rejufsovelem I never sleep long periods of time and my wake ups range for 4:30 to 7, depending on my and DH's schedules. I still temp - you can check my chart below. It's rocky and super not pretty, but I also use OPKs and chart CM, so I almost always get bolded crosshairs. I'd give it a try and see how it goes.

@MJDsquared I think I might actually agree with FF about your chart. The EWCM around cd14 and all.

@Avrilmai The temp increase looks promising! At least it didn't continue going down. When is AF due?

@Avrilmai does your temp usually increase like it did today, around this CD?

Edited to add that the increase looks good, that's why I'm asking.

  • @Rejufsovelem Random thought - you may want to put your tickers in your signature in a spoiler box. Since this is a board where there are a lot of people struggling to get pregnant, it can be hard on them to see baby tickers. Per the guidelines, you don't HAVE to and it doesn't need a **TW**, but I think it would be a respectful thing to do while you're on the TTC board.

@dragonfly87 @kissthesky32 My progesterone level on CD 19 was only 1-point-something. (Sorry, didn't include that info here since I posted it in the chart stalk thread this week--the consensus there was that I probably O'd on CD 18, slight possibility of CD 21.)

  • @dragonfly87 @Karrotelle @kissthesky32  this is my first cycle temping, so I don't have any historical hard evidence. (kicking my self for not starting temping sooner, but what's done is done) my cycles have been alternating in length: 33, 26, 29, 26.  so if keeping with the pattern it would be 29 or longer. So I would expect AF on Friday or Saturday.

  • @Avrilmai don't count yourself out yet.

    *** TW ***
Both times I got a positive test my temp increased the day before my tests showed positive. The months that I was out my temp never increased that second time. I just double checked my past charts and sure enough, both times. So don't count yourself out just yet!

  • @kissthesky32 I'm going to try to wait until Sunday, which would be 14 DPO (if CD 18 is O day). Who knows though, DH doesn't seem to take BFNs as hard as I do and might ask me to on Saturday. I'm just trying to put it off as long as I can take it!
