Night weaned here. Still no sign of reducing daytime nursing. I'd like to think he could be weaned in time so I can get a break and there aren't jealousy issues when the baby arrives. But that's an uphill battle I don't know if I have the energy for. And I kind of hate the idea of being completely done.
Still nursing my almost 20 month old. He is sick right now so he slept in the bed with us half the night and thought that meant an all night milk buffet! I don't nurse before bed anymore. He takes a bottle or silly cup from my husband.
Glad this was resurrected! Still nursing my 20 month old here. He takes whole milk mostly during the day when grandma watches him. He nurses at night but has been starting to fall asleep without nursing. Still waking 2-3 times during the night calling for milk (we cosleep). My pumping output is down to like only 2 ounces and I sense he is getting less because he will ask for the other side. I have mixed feelings, no desire to tandem feed and would love for some free months without nursing but I know he will miss it and he's my first baby so, letting him grow up is hard!
I'm still breastfeeding my 14 month old as well. I have breastfed through 2 pregnancies so far, and hope to be able to do the same with this pregnancy. My milk dries up around 5 months, but I have been able to dry nurse in the past. I really want to nurse DD till she is at least 2. Fingers crossed it all works out.
I stopped nursing my 19mo DS about 6 weeks ago. I was super sad but also knew it was time as he only bf'd for like 1 min b4 bed. I still can get some milk coming out after a shower. Probably all the hormones going on lol
I just stopped breastfeeding my 2 year old last night, because I needed to take medications that aren't compatible, but it's been awesome getting this far. A part of me is sad, but I'm also looking forward to the teeny tiny gain in personal space/autonomy.
