We've had a very mild winter here in Dallas this year. So even though it's technically still winter, the weather is gorgeous and perfect for running. I am looking forward to the warmer weather spring brings so we can start using the pool again. We don't have a pool heater so it's usually May by the time it warms up enough to swim in.

CS/Q: Nope. Still no O for the moment, we're still hanging on to this cycle!
GTKY: What is the one thing that you're looking forward to with spring around the corner? We moved in Sept so we didn't really get a chance to truly appreciate our new town in spring/summer. I'm really looking forward to being able to roll my windows down and breathe in all the fresh air on my commute. My drive may be longer, but it's so much more relaxing than it was when I had to battle traffic. Also, I live in a land of spring and summer festivals and it is fantastic.
R/R: it's finally my day off and I have so much crap to get done, but I really wanna go back to sleep since I haven't been sleeping even though I know I'll never do anything then. R/R: Yesterday was super busy, so I'm very glad it's Friday!
CS/Q: This one might be a bit TMI, so I'm sorry....when is it "safe" to check your CM after BD? Like, if you BD at night, can you check in the morning, or is that too soon? Thank you in advance!
GTKY: What is the one thing that you're looking forward to with spring around the corner? SPRING BREAK!! Spring break starts in three weeks and one day, and I could not be more excited about it. I was at school for 10 hours yesterday, and then went home and worked for another 2. I also had a parent show up unannounced for a conference in the middle on the day yesterday (you know...when I should be teaching), and she yelled at me for not calling her to let her know that the flu has been going around, so that might have something to do with my current excitement over spring break.
@Cricket648 First of all, you'll find that talking about CM is far from TMI around here. We all get very excited over it! Second, I think the general rule is to wait about 12 hours afterward because the semen should be expelled from your body by that time. When I have sex planned/scheduled for TTC, I will make sure to check CM and CP beforehand so that I know I'm getting an accurate reflection of what it is actually like. However, if you find that you really want to check and am not sure if there might be any semen still hanging around in the lady cave, you can check if it is actual CM by using water. Semen will dissolve in water, CM will not.

@cdnrunning when you say insert thingy do you mean the charcoal filter? Yes, that needs to be changed but you also have to wash the water reservoir. There's also a solution they have that you put in the reservoir and you "make coffee" until it's all the way flushed thru. Then you have to do so many flushes of water too. It's not hard it's just a pain in the ass because you certainly don't wait to be tasting any of that cleaning solution. Also, awesome job running. I just can't wrap my head around being able to run for 1.5 hours. I would die.
@BertieMeetsGertie we have to do work on our deck too. I'm dreading it. I really just want to hire someone to revamp it.

GTKY: What is the one thing that you're looking forward to with spring around the corner? We are going on a cruise at the end of April, so there's that. I guess I'd say the warm weather but being in CO, its all a lie, it'll be here in June, maybe.

I'd take your doctor's diagnosis with a grain of salt, and also my commentary with a grain of salt as it is based solely on my experience. I used to spot mid-cycle all the time and had 2+ week-long periods, and my doctors always dismissed it as just "one of those things," then I was diagnosed with fibroids. My doctors still didn't seem to care about the spotting, or the increasingly heavy periods. After I got the fibroids removed the spotting stopped and periods are super light. I'm not saying you have fibroids, only about 30% of women under 40 have them, but keep an eye on the bleeding (record it in FF, for instance) so you'll be able to know if its gets worse, even years from now, so you can justify further testing.
I'm a militant feminist when it comes to doctors taking women's health concerns seriously!

Rave: So temped jumped a lot this morning. So I feel pretty confident that O was yesterday, rather than CD 9...even though my chart looks funky. But based on OPKs, that lines up. Oh and we managed to HIO one more time, even though I am pretty sure I had already O'd by the evening, but didn't hurt.
Rant: I am still so annoyed that I didn't have any fertile CM this cycle during HIO. Yesterday, I had a decent amount of EWCM in the morning, but it was all dried up by the night time. So two HIO's this cycle were likely pointless. We did use pre-seed for HIO on -1...so maybe that helped. Who knows. I feel out already because of the lack of CM.

In other stupidly hopeful news, our obnoxious neighbor's house is still pending so I think this time the sale will go through. @lulu1180 Ha! Same. I hate when it's dark on both ends of the work day. I can't even do any dang yard work (including picking up after the dog) on weekdays when it's like that. And everything feels creepy. Going to the grocery store even feels creepy and like you're doing it at the middle of the night...at 5:30pm.
@kaitlink33 I'm with you on hoping it doesn't go to fast. We've got a lot of yard work to do since we'll probably need to replace our fence soon so that means that we need to remove all of the vegetation that is going to be in the way or is up on the fence now and there is a LOT. Our back fence backs to forest.

GTKY: I can't wait to get my vegetable and flower gardens going and for my house to look pretty again. We have so much outside work to get done with redoing the fencing for our chicken coop and residing the house and whatnot I need it to not go by so fast this year.
@zwink1 I love festivals!!! We have some pretty decent ones here in Dallas. I especially like the margarita festival lol
@LoveInDC it's amazing how therapeutic sunshine is, right?
@cdnrunning I'm totally jealous that you can run outside right now! It's so much nicer than the treadmill!

However, if you find that you really want to check and am not sure if there might be any semen still hanging around in the lady cave, you can check if it is actual CM by using water. Semen will dissolve in water, CM will not.

GTKY: What is the one thing that you're looking forward to with spring around the corner?
Aside from our trip to Maui and the Big Island next month, just being outside and exploring new places! We also have to do some work on our deck this spring, like repainting the whole thing...

GTKY: What is the one thing that you're looking forward to with spring around the corner?
Although these things aren't necessarily Spring related I am excited to buy a house and fly back to MI for my BFFs wedding shower. I'm also excited to GKTFU!
@LoveInDC Enjoy date night and your new makeup!! I love playing with new makeup.
@cdnrunning I live in Houston!
CD: 20
WAYDTGKU: charting
R/R: CD20 has been my usual O day, but I dont think H and I are going to be able to find time to BD today. So I'm kind of hoping I O'd earlier this week when we had decent timing. Temping really would have solved this issue
CS/Q: Notta but I keep looking back at my past charts for the months I got pregnant with my kids and admiring how obsessive I was about charting EVERYTHING. I wish I was that me again lol
GTKY: What is the one thing that you're looking forward to with spring around the corner? Starting to plant all the vegetable garden seeds. We expanded the size of our garden this year and are really hoping to grow the majority of our vegetables so we don't have to buy anything other than fruit. We did well last year but our garden was too small and a lot didn't have the space it needed.

WAYDTGKU: ED, just started taking PNV, stopped caffeine
R/R: I'm just so glad its Friday
CS/Q: not really, saw the Dr yesterday, one for a check up, and two cause I needed some answers. I spot almost always around this time and of course I did yesterday right before my appt. It was no problem, but I found out why I spot, she says its just left over AF (sorry TMI), but I just wanted to share cause it was worry some after a while.
GTKY: What is the one thing that you're looking forward to with spring around the corner? We are going on a cruise at the end of April, so there's that. I guess I'd say the warm weather but being in CO, its all a lie, it'll be here in June, maybe.

CS/Q: nope
GTKY: What is the one thing that you're looking forward to with spring around the corner?
Longer days!!!!! I get depressed when it get dark right around 5:00pm. I usually work from 7:30-6:30pm. So there are days during the winter where I don't see much natural sunlight...so I am excited for longer days.
shortstack930 oh, now I am craving fo yo!
haylsbayls yay for solid smiley. You are HIO ED? That's ambitious!!
kaitlink33 Eek...sounds like a lot going on, but hopefully you can enjoy some of your day off.

R/R: Rant: Snow flurries; ugh. Rave: Was able to make a loan to a friend today, and I feel really good about helping her out.
CS/Q: Nope. I’m sure I’m not the only one having such a hard time waiting to actually get to my fertility window. Feels like I’m just twiddling my thumbs over here.
GTKY: Consistently warmer weather and not being stuck inside the house with my toddlers!

R/R: I think that yesterday was O. We went to that beer tasting/music thing at the museum last night though so this morning's temperature is not to be trusted. If yesterday was the day, I'm fairly happy with how our timing worked out. And now I already feel myself getting hopeful.
In other stupidly hopeful news, our obnoxious neighbor's house is still pending so I think this time the sale will go through. Every time I get a new neighbor I get hopeful that it's going to be a cool family that we'll actually be friends with. The only fair hope is that we're not going from the frying pan into the fire.
CS/Q: Nope.
GTKY: What is the one thing that you're looking forward to with spring around the corner? More hours of daylight and eating outside!
@Cricket648 Has she ever heard of uh, I dunno, flu season?

@JennyV56 @caitlink33 I'd love to start gardening this year but I'm not even sure where to start. Like what would be considered good placement of the garden? Should it be elevated because of the dogs? Are there certain veggies I should start with that I can't eff up?
