I think we have decided on Cassidy for a first name but struggling with middle names. We like two middle names and they need to have a family connection. I feel like I am stuck using Dianne as a middle name because it's mine and my moms but I don't love it and can't come up with a second middle name that flows with Cassidy Dianne.
Contenders are: Dianne Story Some feminine version of Frederick (I'm at a loss) Lyn or Lynette Nessie (Shortened version of Nesbitt but I keep thinking about the Loch Ness Monster)
@abmommy15 Frederica comes to mind as a feminine version of Frederick, but maybe you've already dismissed it?
Maybe Vanessa as a nod to Nesbitt/ Nessie?
With two middle names, Lyn(n) might be the best option, to keep it shorter since Cassidy Dianne Nesbitt Lastname could be a mouthful.
I love that you're using family names! And personally don't think you should feel obligated to use Dianne if you don't want to. DH decided not to use the two names that were passed down from his grandfather and father to him, and I'm glad. Personally, I like family names, but the multiple generations thing feels like too much - for me, personally.
@chiquita928 I lobbied last night and DH is on board with Vivian Hazel - which finally feels right! Thanks for the side eye, it was a good nudge
So jealous of everyone who has partners who agree on names!! Lol! My husband keeps suggesting these names that don't fit with the rest of our family, and frankly, sound a little made up. Sure, I'm picky as hell, so that doesn't help! HAHAHAH!
My husband has NO names on his list...I have a bunch and keep throwing them out, and he has said maybe to some, and not to some. I keep telling him, if he doesn't contribute-he has no say!
TW: 1 infant loss 8/17: Our daughter was born 8/18: Our daughter kicked open heart surgery ass 2/19: We lost our son to Prader-Willi/Paradoxical Vocal Cord/ Noonans at 6wks old 4/26/2020: EDD for baby #3!!!
So I had to talk with an amazon customer service rep today and her name was Davina (pronounced da-VEE-nuh) and I have been thinking about it all morning.
Granted I have a David and this baby, which is our last is a boy, as well as I can hear my DH rolling his eyes from here at me thinking about this name since he is so old school and traditional about names - but I absolutely adore the name. When I was pregnant with Davey I suggested "Daveigh" for a girl like the actress "Daveigh Chase" and he looked at me like I had two heads. I am so sad now I won't have a little girl named Davina - obviously pregnancy hormones have reared their ugly head lol. Not that we could have 2 Daveys/Daveighs running around anyway.
ETA this is not gender disappointment in the least, my Davey is my world. Haha I guess it's name disappointment. I still carry a torch for not being able to use Bethany for my daughter too.
How about Matilda or Nora? I absolutely love those names! My husband axed Matilda when we were deciding on a name for our daughter. We're having another boy so I wont have a Nora either, lol. Hes not a fan of "older" names but I love them and think they are timeless.
Edited because I hit reply to @klkrieg but it didnt tag... I thought I did it right but must have done something wrong. Still trying to figure this out.
So it's how time to start arguing over names lol. I have an Ellie (Elizabeth) and an Abby (Abigail), and number three is a girl. Here are the top contenders... any opinions or ideas for other names that "go"? We have a long Italian last name that starts with a C....
Isabelle or Isabella (Izzy) Olivia (Livie) Emily (Emmie) Fiona (feels like an outlier lol) Hannah Juliette Charlotte
I'm also not one to care about name popularity one bit.
@virginiaunicorn11 I was thinking the same, very cutsey.... which I may end up being ok with lol. Why not just get used to everything being a little much now haha.
We're having a boy whose name will be Ari but if we were having a girl her name would be Amira Giovanna kind of bummed we won't be using that name since this is going to be our last
So now that we know we're having a girl, we're working on middle names. Her first name will be Maura. I don't know what to do with a middle name. We don't want it to start with a vowel, since Maura ends in one. And we don't want it to end in the "inn" sound, or it'll rhyme with our last name. I'm thinking Maura Violet, and DH likes it, too. The only problem is everyone we know is fully aware that my favorite color is purple, and I don't know if that just makes it cheesy. "Really, Corinne, you named your kid after your favorite color??"

Ari is one of our 3 finalists for a boy name. We are struggling a little with middle name, though. Our current front runner is Isaac
@virginiaunicorn11 love all your boy names!! Vivian Hazel is very pretty, too. If you are still considering options, you could also do the thing I've seen a lot of people do and use the first initial, H, for a first name to honor Hazel - with a name like Hannah, Hava, Hadassah...(of those I like Hava a lot).
"I really love the name Micah, but DH is all "It's a girl's name or a boy named Mike from the Netherlands." Ummm...it's a biblical name." Yeah, our son is Micah - it is definitely a boy's name and a Biblical name. I'm not sure how it came to be seen as a girl's name ;-) And it's a good choice!
So, we are having a girl . . . we have two boys named Micah and Ian. Our girl choices are:
Anya, Chloe, Hannah, Lydia, Reagan, Kennedy, Phoebe, Harper, and Lorelei . . . middle name will be Grace. My favorite is Lorelei Grace, but I've not completely convinced my husband. Thoughts? Favorites? Only rule is that first name must have two or more syllables because last name only has one syllable . . . and nothing super youneek ;-).

I like all those names but Chloe. My DH loves Chloe but I don't know why I can't get into it! I think of the famous 'K' Chloe. I'm also debating Grace as a middle name! It goes with any name and is very elegant. Harper Grace is one of my names but I can't talk DH into Harper! Love Lorelei Grace. Would you nn Rory?
@LoveLee85 - I don't think Chloe will make the cut, but I do like it. I didn't even think of the Kardashian connection! I've not thought about nicknames - but Rory is super cute ;-) Harper Grace is a great choice, too!
Chloe reminds me of the perfume that's it! I like Anya! And Harper @Kmomof3
I think like Aria. Harper grace is really cute though. At least your hubby is suggesting sweet/nice names, mine has been suggesting gangster names lol @LoveLee85 . My girl choice name would've been Irum (means paradise) but I'm having a boy acc to nipt.
Thank you, It does have a nice ring I think?! I don't know why I'm hesitating on it. I'm being beyond picky with names this time around.
I also liked Kendal but my mom then said: are we only picking Kardashin names?! I about died. Lol. Now it's all I think about!
@BusyZee gangster names, haha, that made me laugh. Agreeing on names can be a challenge for sure. We have give or take 4 months from today to name this baby girl!!! Yikes!!
Aria has been on our list since I was pregnant with dd. I've never seen Game of Thrones or Pretty Little Liars. I'm guessing they are characters on the show?
@chiquita928 How are you pronouncing Maura? My niece is Mara Ann.

Ours will be Ari Luigi (Luigi after my dad) idk what'd we use if we weren't using that.
@LoveLee85, we'd match if you went with Harper Grace! That's Baby's A's official designation now, haha. Clearly, you have excellent taste to be considering it!

so i think i might've mentioned i've moved on from juniper and on to Margot - we also like lydia and piper. we were going to let my mom give this one a japanese mn, like with dd, but i was also thinking of giving her our boy name as a mn (elliott). first question: thoughts on Margot Elliott? Piper Elliott? Lydia Elliott? second: two middle names (one being japanese)? or just stick with one?
Re: July 2017 baby name ideas

Dianne
Story
Some feminine version of Frederick (I'm at a loss)

@virginiaunicorn11 DH has axed Hannah with both pregnancies. He must actually not like it for us. I think it's an ex from long ago.
